    Nasty Hash Browns!!!!

FYI !!!! These are not hash browns. These are just a pile of potato's with pepper on them. I am really upset that a restaurant of this caliber can mess up my entire morning, Thanks Otto's

    Double cheeseburger w/ everything

Found my way to the tunnels and to a Horrible double cheeseburger. Horrible fries. Food was ready in 3 min so I knew something was going to be up. Didn't have the highest expectations, but did expect something better than McDonald's or frozen bubba patties. Waste of my money and time and honestly put me in a bad mood. At least I got a coke to wash down this terrible excuse of a burger. Gotta come harder, no seasoning or salt on fries nor were they hot, burger the same, no seasoning or nothing. It was just filler. Didn't even taste like the burger was there, just veggies, bread and a hint of mustard. Never again!

Otto's is a good option when you're not feeling Papa's. Plus, most of the menu is a tad cheaper. Otto's offers a single daily special each day. The most recent daily special I have had was chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and "green beans" (think they were actually lima beans, which is close, I guess). I dressed up my gravy with jalapenos from the condiment bar. Tasted like southern comfort. They had a smothered chicken special last I was there, but went with the pork po boy. Holy smokes, that was some good pork! Sometimes when the meat sits for a few you'll wind up with a dry piece, but the rest is a good ration of tender, meaty and fatty. ( This is what my dad usually gets; he can vouch.) My dad got the dry piece this time, so mine was entirely delectable. The bbq sauce is pretty good. Opt to get it on the side if you ain't man enough to finish the huge sandwich, like me. (I hate soggy bread!) Potato salad is ok. A bit too sweet for my taste. Like, a combo of really sweet pickles and apple cider mixed in there. Came here once for breakfast a few years ago and I still remember that the biscuits and gravy were good. Not sure if they still have that, though. The burgers, on the other hand, have eluded my memory. I recall coming here a couple times for burgers, but can not remember anything else about them. (Could be Fuddrucker's fault.) One downside is that you're probably better off getting ribs at Papa's since there's only one choice at Otto's. The burger/sandwich line is separate from the bbq one. Also, note the daily special lunch is ordered in the bbq line. Plenty of newly remodeled shared seating just outside the restaurant.

I'm going to miss this place since I no longer work downtown. As strange as this sounds, the best thing on the menu is their sweet tea. Can't get enough of it. :-) But food wise, their burgers are your run-of-the-mill. Perfectly cooked to a juicy center on a poppyseed bun. Fries can be a bit wimpy sometimes; I prefer my fries crispy. If you want a good burger and fries, can't go wrong here.

Decent bbq for a food court. Can't beat 2 meats and a few sides for $9-10 bucks. Get there early or else there will be a line around lunch

The burger itself is cooked surprisingly well, though I would probably go with the classic brioche bun next time rather than their suggested sourdough (felt more like a toasted sandwich) bread. To start off with a positive, I thought the falafel patty had a really great taste and was absolutely the highlight of the burger. But outside of that the burger and the toppings I ordered just didn't work as well as I would've liked. I ordered my burger with mushrooms and sauteed onions, both toppings I know I absolutely love from making burgers at home and from other spots, but neither added much. At first I was worried that the falafel was overpowering them both but upon eating them by themselves they just lacked taste. We also got the scallion aioli on the burger and I never got a hint of it at any point. All in all, the burger was very much mediocre outside of the patty. We also got fries with the burger and while they absolutely had some potential they were extremely over seasoned. Any appreciation for the seasonings in a vacuum was immediately overshadowed by how salty they were. We also ordered the Sambal Mayo as a dipping sauce and while it did help subdue the insane salt level and overall tasted quite good, upon writing this review I found out by looking at their online menu that it contained some amount of shrimp. This information is nowhere to be seen on the ordering slip and wasn't mentioned when I handed it over to the person working at the cash register. And while I definitely accept some level of responsibility for not doing my due diligence and asking or letting them know of my dietary restrictions, it's still an extremely frustrating thing to have happen as both a vegetarian and someone with a mild shellfish allergy. If for whatever reason the online menu is out of date or I missed an obvious indication of it containing shrimp somewhere I am more than happy to edit my review.

I went with the Double Good Burger at Johnny Good Burger, and honestly... it was surprisingly good. Perfectly smashed patties with those crispy edges, juicy inside, and well-balanced flavors that didn't feel overcomplicated. Sometimes simple just works--and this definitely did. The fries deserve their own shoutout: extra crispy, hot, and downright addictive. No soggy sadness here. I kept telling myself "just one more" until the tray was mysteriously empty. All in all, a very satisfying burger experience. If you're in the mood for a legit smash burger and happen to be wandering POST Houston, this one's absolutely worth stopping for.

Service was mid, and I wish the workers gave as much effort as they put on their phone to customers. We ordered to-go, yet lacked necessities like napkins & silverware for multiple meals. The patty melt burger was tasty & the tangy secret sauce leveled up the entire burger (highly recommend). The burgers are big enough to share if you are doing a burger & fries because as you can see in the photos, it is so much food, definitely paying for quantity over quality here.

First, the parking lot entrance is blink and you'll miss it, tucked narrowly between the carwash and the cafe on Washington, but parking is surprisingly ample. The husband and wife owners are lovely people. The inside is very comfortable with a very old world cafe ambiance. The burger and fries are clearly made to order and incredibly well made. The burger was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked, the vegetables were fresh and crisp, the burger sauce was really nice without being cloying or overpowering, and the bun was nice and soft. The fries were those nice, thick, crispy on the outside soft on the inside diner style seasoned fries. The pastry offerings, which I was told the wife bakes herself, look excellent as well, as do all of the coffee drinks. I'm very excited to come back and try their cafe offerings.
