This place is really on point. Breakfast served all day long. Love it. The quesadilla is fantastic. My friend that ate the quesadilla is a super picky eater and she loves it. So compliments to the chef. The biscuits and gravy were nice but nothing amazing like the breakfast burrito and quesadilla. The breakfast burrito was huge and packed full of meat. I could only eat half of it. I would suggest if you get the burrito to spend the $2 more and get it smothered. Super worth. We both loved the green sauce! read more

This spot was on point! We had Chilaquiles, Empanadas stuffed w eggs, chorizo and other good stuff. Also had huevos rancheros yum! Kids had waffles, eggs Benedict and and meat lover's omelette. Service was awesome. We go there 10 min before closing w a party of 6 and they treated us great! Great overall experience - good, atmosphere, cleanliness and kind courteous service. Stopped here on my way to the airport. Huevos rancheros here are top notch. My inability to read left me with meat on it. I apologized, asked for another, and stated I would pay for both. My server, Andreya would not let me pay for my mistake. Exceptional food and service. read more

SO GOOD. We were in North Salt Lake and I was finally able to try this spot and it was definitely one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. I got the huevos rancheros and added avocado. The salsa is fresh and it had the right amount of heat, the tostada added that crunch, and I couldn't get enough. My BF ordered the burrito smothered with green salsa and I had a bite, it was delicious. The service was top notch as well, speedy, and friendly. Will definitely be back soon! read more

This breakfast place is the embodiment of "family owned business" at its best! The service is fast and friendly, the food delicious, fresh, and way more than you can eat (highly recommend sharing), and the for the price you get a ton of food! I came across Our Kitchen Cafe on Yelp one morning while looking for a good breakfast spot. I was intrigued by the breakfast empanadas (pictured) and had to try them. Moving to the SLC area and found this gem near our ABNB! Wowza!!! Do yourself a favor and plus the directions into you GPS! Service is friendly, food was fast and absolutely delicious! Usually this place does a great job with service and seating, however today they sat two parties before us and one of the servers gave us an attitude when we asked if we could sit at the table instead of the bar. The server then took us to the bar and and began to look at us and talk about us RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. I have never felt more unwelcome and uncomfortable in a restaurant before in my life. We weren't even rude or impolite. I hope the servers read this and realize that how you treat your guests can leave a long-lasting impact. We have brought numerous people here to eat before and it's unfortunate our loyalty to this restaurant is rewarded with bitter and petty attitudes. read more

Wow! So happy to find this place. The food is good, large portions, attentive service, and it's cheap. It's definitely a place we will come back over and over again without breaking the bank. My only wish is that they had mimosas! We ordered the breakfast burrito which was smothered in a delicious chile verde, the pancakes, the super chilaquiles which comes with some of the best carne asada I've had, and the dulce de leche crepes which were my favorite sweet dish. It is a popular spot so you might have to wait but service is quick and tables turnover quickly. read more

Let me say how happy I am to have a new breakfast place open up so close to my house. New constructions has many perks but waiting for the neighborhood and stores to grow has been long coming. I no longer have to cross the freeway to have breakfast now, I could even walk! Location/building: this space has changed owners and uses a few times now. The layout of the parking is a bit strange but we found a spot easily. The restaurant has the kitchen in the middle with table seating on the ends. They also have bar seating. Food: plenty of menu options here to satisfy everyone in your party. I tried the Nutella crepes in a combo with eggs and sausage. Having recently had crepes in France, they left a bit to be desired. I also didn't like that the Nutella was drizzled over the crepe. I prefer it inside where it gets warm and gooey. That change could definitely elevate this crepe. Eggs were cooked exactly as I ordered and the sausage was tasty. He got the corned beef hash. There was good flavor here as well but not my favorite version of this recipe. Overall I would say this place has potential and I will definitely give it some more visits to try out other options. read more

Finally a solid local breakfast/brunch place has come to NSL. I ordered the Country Benedict and it we were excellent. The eggs where just how I like them, the sausage was tasty, the biscuits were cooked enough to not be soggy from the delicious gravy. The meal also came with a side of pancakes. The service was fast which I was looking for as I stopped in for an early lunch on a work day. The server was friendly, and the interior of the building was clean had ample seating. The parking lot was uniquely setup due to space constraints. Five Stars for this tasty local joint. read more

I was able to try this restaurant for breakfast. We were a party of 5 and I think we all left satisfied. I split my omelet dish because of how huge the portion sizes are. We shared the veggie omelet with feta and I really liked it. Didn't care for the hash browns but I'd come back again :) read more

This is a solid brunch spot! I haven't had anything yet that I'm absolutely raving about, but it's good! Ordered the breakfast burrito as take out once and it was really filling and delicious. The crepes I didn't care for, too much of a cinnamon/nutmeg type of flavor. I dined in once as well and had a hash dish which was really good. The pancakes, however, were kind of falling apart and absorbed so much syrup! read more

THIS IS A MEXICAN PLACE. Hiding in plain sight. Love it when that happens. I haven't seen carne asada chilaquiles on a menu at too many places. Only corn tortillas w/their breakfast tacos. PRO TIP: Get the chorizo scramble with an extra (huge) flour tortilla and a side of avocado, and make your own breakfast tacos. read more

Walked in and was greeted with a genuine smile. I was alone so sat at counter. Ordered a California Omelette with hash browns, pancakes and coffee. I would return, as service was friendly, perhaps with a bit of a rush as the check was brought when I was only half way through eating my breakfast. Omelette was tasty and pancakes were outstanding. Hashbrowns were a little oily and not very crispy, and could have been seasoned a bit. Coffee was standard though I was given a cup of creamer with mostly French vanilla and had to dig out the regular creamers. Also minor inconvenience of not being given anything to stir with, so I used my knife. (To be fair, I didn't request a spoon, though when someone asks for cream something to stir with should be standard). Overall, very impressed with this new place and with a few relatively small adjustments, I'd go to five stars. You could tell the owners/staff cared about the restaurant and the product they produced, and had a very positive attitude. Smiles go a long way, and I received them here. read more

I absolutely love the feel of this little café. It has an at-home feel, modern decor, and the staff makes you feel comfortable and welcome. The waitress had a drink and menu for me within a minute of sitting down and I had my food in less than 5 minutes, nice and hot! Hashbrowns and egg was cooked well and it was delicious! I got the breakfast sandwich and I highly recommend it. This will be a place I must stop at again! read more

I don't even know where to begin! This place was so easy to find, had a great open layout (makes for a little loud experience) fantastic servers and service! We were seated almost immediately, and our orders were taken promptly and the food came out so quick! The food was probably the best brunch/ breakfast food we have had lately. So good we didn't take any pics, we just snarfed it down. I got the Cali omelet, wife got the crepes. Definitely would come back here! read more

We did peep out some breakfast joints around the area the night before and Penny Ann's Cafe popped up. The reviews were good so we decided to head over after we grabbed gas. This joint is conviently next to Costco so we didn't have to venture far too find it. Walking in, we were instantly greeted by the hostess. We were sat at a booth by the breakfast bar. Yohe ( I know his name started with a Y) greeted us. There was a gentleman named Cesar that was shadowing him for training. They both grabbed our drink order while my mom and I were checking out the menu. I did creep out the menu the night before. You can not not be curious over these famous "heavenly hot cakes". When you add the word heavenly to hot cakes, you know they are going to be hella good! So for breakfast, I got the Big breakfast which comes with a little bit of everything. My mom got French toast that came with a side of eggs and bacon. My plate was no joke! I got a good helping of potatoes smothered in country gravy, a chunky sausage link, bacon, ham, eggs and 2 fluffy pancakes. I'm so happy I didn't get the toast. I was offered to have my toast turned into French toast and as much as I wanted to say yes, I declined. I had enough carb options with my huge stack of pancakes and breakfast potatoes. I knew the French toast would put me over the edge. My potatoes were perfectly cooked! Crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The country gravy on top of my potatoes was savory and thick. I normally don't like sausage gravy but this one was really good! My eggs were fried hard, just the way I like them. My bacon was crispy. I do like my sausage links to be overcooked and I forgot to tell my server about having it overcooked. The sausage was hearty and big! It just needed a little more browning for my liking. I did have a couple bites of my ham, I was just super full to finish it. Now, the pancakes were topped tier! They were fluffy! Airy! Topped with a hefty chunk of butter. The pancake syrup was warm. The combination of everything listed above made eat bite of pancake magical. I ate half of my stack and had to tap out. I really could have finished that whole plate of pancakes but I know my stomach would be so upset with me on my 5 hour trip home. What I appreciate most about this joint is how clean it is! I love that the syrup containers, salt and pepper shakers, hot sauce, ketchup and creamers are all cleaned and put in the back after each table is done. It's amazing how many condiment containers are so dirty but not here. I feel safe using thier condiments here. Especially with my new kidney and having to be extra precautious with communal things, that was one thing I didn't have to worry about today. The service is great! The pancakes are legit good. The venue is clean and nicely ran. My meal was fantastic! I look forward to bringing my husband here in April so he can try the Heavenly hot cakes. He loves pancakes and I know he will love these ones. And I will most definitely have to have my hot cakes Dubai chocolate style! Truly a must try. See you in April!

Overall, everything is on the more expensive side, so you're paying for the atmosphere. I'd recommend having plenty of time for your visit, as it's an un-rushed experience.

I've tried their Creme Brulee French Toast, biscuits and gravy, avocado toast, and today I tried their Perfect Omelette, but unfortunately all of them have been quite subpar. Unfortunately today was probably our worst experience. I ordered the Perfect Omelette because I saw it had avocado, but when I got it there was no avocado to be seen! Turns out they had run out but didn't tell me when I ordered, which honestly would have made me change my mind. The omelette tasted pretty bland to me, so I had to use plenty of ketchup and Cholula to help. I also usually like their brunch potatoes, but today they seemed less cooked and not as crispy. My bf enjoyed his Eggs Benedict per usual, but agreed the potatoes were worse than normal. Our server, who in the past has usually been quite attentive, was very slow and not attentive at all. He only checked on us to take our order (after we had been seated for at least 10 minutes), and then gave us our check at the end. A different person seemed to be helping him out by giving us water and serving us our food, which we appreciated, but nobody checked on us to see how we liked our meal. We saw people seated in other sections with different servers get seated after but attended to before us, which was a bit frustrating. We wondered if it was because our spot at the window bar seemed to be far from our server's other tables. We kept feeling like we'd been forgotten! Ambiance is very cute, modern, and IG-worthy. For me the food isn't great, but I'll keep working my way down the menu in an effort to find something I like since I know we'll be back for the Eggs Benedict haha. I think I'll try the pancakes next or I guess give the French toast another shot. If those don't work out, I might resort to just their orange juice (which is great because it's freshly squeezed, but unfortunately also room temperature as a result) and something a la carte. I'm giving them a 3/5 overall because service is usually better and because my bf still thinks they have the best EB in the county. But honestly I've never been somewhere where I've tried so many dishes and not liked any of them enough to order again. I also think their prices are high and keep inching up. $16 for their avocado toast is actually absurd! And I find it surprising that for a brunch place, they don't serve lattes/espresso. Hopefully your experience will be better than mine. I've attached all of the photos I've taken here, and you can almost tell how their quality has shifted. I hope they ultimately get better, not worse!

The French onion soup was a glutenous ball as the bread became incredibly soggy in the broth. But the broth itself was flavorful. The food was mixed, but the bigger problem came when it was time to pay the bill. I was shocked when it turned out to be almost $20 higher than expected. I was charged $12.95 for each soup. I pointed out the discrepancy and the server took one of the soup charges off the bill. I pointed out that this was still an overcharge based on the listed price of $4.25 on the menu, but apparently the "cup of soup" on the menu did not include French onion, which is something that should have been clearly shown on the menu or at least explained by the server when I ordered it. Not wishing to argue the matter further I paid the bill with an abbreviated tip and left. Given the lack of communication and the exorbitant prices charged for middling food, we will not be back.

Our Kitchen Café in Salt Lake City was absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. The service was friendly, attentive, and top-notch from start to finish. I ordered the chilaquiles with carne asada, and they were incredible. The chilaquiles were packed with flavor, perfectly prepared, and had just the right balance of textures. The carne asada was the star of the dish--tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was delicious, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh and made with care.
