To start off our waitress (Alyssa) wasn't very polite, they were out of lemonade, root beer, and shrimp, and the food was very bland with a lack of flavor on everything ranging from the fries to the burgers or even the mac n cheese. But the true reason I'm leaving it at one star is not because of the fact that I found a hair or very thin piece of platinum/blonde plastic mid bite while eating my fries but because upon asking for the manager at (10:07pm) we were told she was done for the night and she would do nothing about it since the restaurant was technically closed. It truly makes the staff and the manager seem to hold a very low regard for the concerns of guests and it reflects very poorly upon the restaurant. read more

I think the location is hit or miss or might be why people are less familiar with your mom's but I Absolutely love it! Every time I order Waitr it's one of my top 3 options. I've been a couple of times to the restaurant and each time it has been great. I've tried multiple burgers and sandwich and every one of them were great. Much better the curbside . Finally convinced one of my picker eater friends to try it out and he loved it as well. The peanut butter and jelly burger seems odd but is SO amazing! We were in town for the UGA vs LSU game and went here for lunch. This place is awesome. Roast Beef PO-Boy was off the chain. Burgers were great and kids had chicken tenders that they also loved. Manager even came over to ask how our meal was. read more

Excellent service and even better food. The roast beef sandwich is the best in Baton Rouge and can compete with the best po boys in New Orleans. The PB&J burger as well as the Sweet and Spicy Chicken are two amazing sandwiches. Don't leave without trying the fried green bean appetizer. I'm very disappointed...Ordered shrimp baskets to go , the fries were cold and unseasoned , the shrimp are the small baby ones not the gulf shrimp like usual. The shrimp also tasted old and fishy to me, just wasn't that fresh. The batter they were fried in was very dark, which indicates to me that it's older. I'm new to Baton Rouge and I've had many shrimp baskets in the past 6 months and this had to be my least favorite. Also the yelp check in offer is ONLY for dine in although it doesn't say that on the offer this place refused to honor that. My husband and I love this place. It was the first burger we had in BR when we moved last June and it continued to be a favorite. I always get the mushroom Swiss burger and my husband has tried many of the others-all burgers were great. The debris fries are not that good, but that could be that we just didn't realize what we were ordering. The servers are always friendly here. We came with a big group (8 adults, 2 kids) on a Sunday afternoon on our drive back to Houston. All of the burgers we tried were great- the meat was thick and juicy and bread was delicious. We also got the appetizer deal after checking in- we tried the fries, fried pickles and dried mushrooms. They were all tasty but the pickles a bit salty for my taste. The service was also great! Also, not like it's a huge deal but the menu says "seasoned fries" and our fries didn't even have salt on them!! No seasoning at all and were too bland to enjoy without a dipping sauce. Burgers were great but the patty was so big I am not sure the bun could handle it. Sweet potato fries are usually boring - but these were SO good. The fried jalapeno burger and friend pickle burger were yummy but didn't blow my mind. I've had better burgers but these still get an A because of the unique toppings. Great drink selections and the music and overall vibe was modern but cozy. Lots of different seating options - open tables, booths and high tops. Great place to go to chat with friends. There are times you go out to eat and it's not bad, but its not very good, either. This is one of those times. We got off work this morning and wanted burgers, and a quick Yelp search lead me to Your Mom's. We were the first customers and we were seated quickly. We ordered drinks and when the waitress returned we ordered our food- peanut butter jelly bacon burger for me, Reuben burger for him....but they were out of corned beef, we discovered, so he ordered the surf and turf burger. Then we waited. A little over 20 minutes later, we received our food. Now, let me break my plate down for you: the bun was soft and a nice kind of chewy. The burger Patty was large, but very little seasoning. The pb,j, and bacon were a perfect combination of sweet and savory. The fries were undercooked, but the Tony's style seasoning was good. I was told the surf and turf was "fine", but there were still shrimp on the plate, so who knows. The service was a little off. After we got our food, she checked on us once and then we didn't see her for 10 minutes after we finished. Baton Rouge isn't short on burger joints, but this isn't a mediocre burger place. I didn't eat inside - we ordered it for pick up. I just got a basic bacon cheeseburger. It was pretty delicious. That location has had some trouble keeping businesses open there, so hopefully this place will work there! read more

This place is pretty awesome!! Don't judge it by the name or logo, it's really neat inside with great food! I got the Jalapeño Ranch burger and it was delicious. Make sure to get the homemade ranch and honey mustard to dip your sweet potato fries in, nom. Has TVs to watch games, great throwback music, and a pretty decent beer selection.
