The server quickly took it back before we had a chance to try any of it and gave us a complimentary cucumber w/special sauce appetizer as well as replacing the dish with the mistake. Service was great. Very attentive and polite. I would highly recommend this place as the food itself is very good in addition to having great service. The feel of the restaurant is very casual with minimal décor. Street parking is available for customers. But Our Zone is quietly tucked away along Comm Ave and serves up some spicy, tasty Chinese cuisine. We've dined in and ordered take out. The food has been tasty and fresh each time. The first time we had the stir fried green beans with garlic and the stir fried chicken with capsicum. Wow. What flavor in both dishes. The chicken was more on the spicier side so the milder green beans paired well. The chicken was bone-in which was a surprise since they were tiny pieces. But who would've guessed it, the fried garlic in the green beans stole the show! The next time we ordered the cold chili cucumber app and the green beans again. The chili cucumber was tangy, spicy, and all round wonderful, especially the extra sauce it is soaked in. The green beans, were however a little bit of a let down. Magically yummy authentic Sichuan Cuisine! This restaurant has become our regular obsession of ours. We are always greeted warmly by the staff and treated two many delights of spicy yumminess. We often choose the dry pot, at least one of their noodles, and fried rice. All of which are delectable. Additionally we've tried lots of the options from the vegetable menu. Standouts have been the mapo tofu & garlic eggplant. This is definitely some of the best Sichuan food I've had outside of China! Run there now! read more

The food here is delicious and super flavorful. Garlic eggplant is my absolute favorite, followed by the sausage rice. The service is very quick, and the servers are really nice. I just moved in across the street from this place and I love it. Excellent prices and even better portions. I got the Pork Lo Mein and it came out super fast- probably around 5-7 minutes. Move over Chang's House! There's a new authentic kid on the block. When I saw the new sign up for Our Zone I was confused about what it was but when I found the menu I got extremely excited. The menu is authentic Sichuan food with all my favorites. For starters the homemade dumplings were out of this world! They were so light and well made with thin wrappers. Some of the best traditional Chinese style dumplings. We had the shredded pork with garlic sauce which I wasn't sure about but turned out to be my favorite dish. We also had the spicy stir fried chicken which was also delicious. We threw in the stir fried string beans for some greenery. They were super spicy and fresh. The ladies who took our order were really helpful and sweet. They said people could still order more American dishes like general gaus but honestly do yourself a favor and branch out to their menu items. Can't wait to try them all. We found it one of the best and authentic Sichuan cuisine in Boston. They don't serve many different dishes but focus more on the classic Sichuan special food, such as twice cooked pork, Shui zhu fish, pork intestines, stir fried chicken, etc. The food are not that spicy but with a good balance of taste, numbness and spicy flavor. I highly recommend this place. However, the main drawback is that the restaurant does not have a restroom for customers. When I came here first time, I have to walk more than 10 minutes to Whole foods market for the restroom. I hate the feeling when I walk in Boston frozen winter. read more

Ordered takeout for two and it was so good! The food was still really hot. I ordered the dan dan noodles, szcheuan double cooked bacon, stir fried string beans, and shredded pork with garlic. All the dishes were amazing! My personal favorite was the shredded pork with garlic - super flavorful and great with rice. The dan dan noodles were nice and spicy - not as peanuty or sesame as I'm used to but I still loved them. The portions were generous and we barely finished half of all the dishes! The following dishes were ordered: Szechuan double-cooked bacon: Packed with flavor from the savory black beans, Szechuan peppercorns, and smokiness from being cooked on a hot flame. Excellent portion with plenty of thinly sliced pork belly and cabbage. Stir-fried string bean with black bean & pepper: Ordered by the waitress's recommendation ("the green beans are excellent today!"). It was indeed fresh, and cooked to the right level of tenderness, but definitely, much, much spicier than expected. Still excellent. Marinated beef shank with special sauce: The beef shank was tender and yet still held its structure even though it was very thinly sliced. The flavor was delicate, although the sauce was somewhat forgettable (which was really not an issue). The green bean noodle appetizer with a very, very long name: Light and refreshing. A good balance to the pork and green beans, which were strongly flavored. Overall, the experience was just delightful. Service was great as well. 100% will return. read more

The chicken was the right amount of spicy and tasty (my boyfriend is really sensitive to spice too but loved it still), the dumplings were the best I've had in Allston. You can tell they are handmade for sure. The noodles were delicious too, the only thing I'd say is that there were a little too much onions for my taste but it wasn't a problem. The service is also really great, the girl that helped us was super kind and easy to talk to! Just got takeout this evening from OurZone. The food was unimpressive. Shumai and dumplings were pasty, glutinous, and bland. The stir-fried green beans were halfway decent, but oily and lacking in piquant flavors. The chicken dish was supposed to be spicy, but it was bland, too. In addition, it was made of chopped-up pieces of chicken including the bones, and as a result it was profoundly unpleasant to eat. After seeing the rave reviews on Yelp, we had high expectations for authentic and delicious Sichuan cuisine, so we were sorely disappointed. This was not worth the money or the long wait. It made us wonder how many of this restaurant's Yelp reviews were authentic. We just hope this was an off-night, but we won't be back. read more

I visited this cute little place for the first time last night. It was incredibly delicious! I had the cold peanut noodles, which were very good. The sauces are served on the side, so you can have it as peanutty (or not) as you want. I also had the shredded pork with garlic sauce which was also super-good. It has an intriguing hint of vinegar that really adds to the dish. The very best dish, however, was the string beans with black bean sauce. Oh, my, but these were good! They were salty in the most delicious way possible. The beans were perfectly cooked, with a roasted/charred taste that was amazing. I could eat them every day. I visited this place once before COVID for eat-in and have gotten it a couple of times as takeout in the last few months. Both times, the food was EXCELLENT! The young woman who works there is always super friendly, and always gives me tips on the food (what's new, what to try) and also on ordering online (she saved me money by advising to go around Grubhub and directly to them). The shredded pork with green pepper is to die for, I always get it. They also have the FRESHEST, most delicious homemade dumplings I think I've ever had.
