It appeared to be a steak seasoning that was over sprinkled. I actually should have sent it back. It was otherwise delicious. The baked potato did not have enough moisture; they were a bit light on butter and sour cream. I ended up asking for more. The lobster tail was divine! I attempted to place an order through door dash and it was immediately cancelled. I then called the restaurant and spoke with a very nice lady who basically repeated my order and used the cancelled order to replace my order over the phone for pickup. I'm still unsure why it was cancelled through DoorDash but it's fine. I initially ordered lobster, steak, 2 slices of carrot cake and a chicken/shrimp pasta. When I called she informed me they were out of lobster and apologized for the inconvenience of door dash still having it available on their site. She gave me the total and told me it would be 20 minutes. I sent my partner to pick up the order and she told me how nice they were at pickup and how they felt bad about the lobster situation but managed to find me one in the freezer. My partner told them that I'm pregnant and would be EXTREMELY excited when she arrived with this surprise and I must admit, I was ECSTATIC! Before I post this know I get embarrassed when I have to send my food back! We had a great waitress with a sweet personality who took our order correctly! She was a 4 star! BUT we had a Bad food experience. I ordered a steak and backed potato. They were both wrong (way wrong) from how it should have been cooked to being marbled. They took the steak back and then just brought me the correct potato. They brought the steak back out and it was the right steak but almost raw. After I finished my potato they brought the steak back and it was then overdone but I just eat it because I was hungry. $48 later disappeared in the visit. The food and the service was great. What ruined our experience was the fact that an older man presumably the manager came up to our table and proceeded to talk to us. Not just the normal how is the food. No he saw my daughters's senior class of 2024 shirt and asked where she was going to college. We are from Oklahoma and visiting and she said our local university. He said why? She explained and he then asked what major. She explained what major and he began to go into how that profession is bad and how she should do something else. My daughter then left to the bathroom as she was uncomfortable. He continued to talk to us for around five minutes which in that time frame our food had come out. So he left and our daughter came back. We started eating and in the midst of us talking he came up rudely interrupting our conversation and began telling us about how three people had died in Minneapolis in a devastating accident. He began going into detail and I cut him off shortly stating our family does not watch the news to stay out of that negativity. My hubby and I had dinner at the addison location this evening, we were very lucky to have had Ray as our server! Not only was the food delicious, the service was fantastic!! I felt we were back in the 80's when great customer service was at its best.. Now its extinct, you have to be lucky to receive good service, luckily Ray believes in providing great service and honestly cares. He noticed every small detail & was extremely attentive. After meeting the Manager Matt we were not surprised, Ray is a great reflection on Matt's management skills. On a whim had a craving for steak and baked potato, so I ordered from this location for delivery. The steak, I ordered medium well. It is past well done (mind you, I don't mind a well done steak. I would rather it brown than red. But this was the most over done steak I've ever had). No flavor. Dry as the Sahara. I couldn't cut it. I have to pick it up and bite it, and the bite takes work to tear it off. And then I need a glass of water to chase it down. The baked potato was hard and dry and, upon cutting it open, a portion was rotten brown. To eat it, I had to use my fork and knife and cut whole sections as if it were a steak. I couldn't run my fork through the center "potato" part. Ate about half of each out of hunger, and threw the rest away :/ The roll and the Caesar salad were good though. read more

We just moved into the area and we went Friday 4/12 around 8pm, we were seated right away. After about 10 minutes of being ignored by the 5 servers - no greeting or any acknowledgement, not even a 'hey, sorry. It's been crazy slammed busy, but we see you and we will be right there'. We figured service would only be worse from here and decided to leave. The two hosts standing up front were too deep into their conversation to be bothered to ask us why we were leaving. This is my last time to order from this place! I placed an order for 2 meals from their own website and they still managed to screw it up. The Alice Springs Chicken was dry and without any noticeable flavor and the so called "dressed baked potato with everything" only contained a small container of sour cream. No BUTTER,CHEESE, BACON,or CHIVES. How could anybody prepare a to go order and not double check for baked potato add ons! My Aussie Cobb Salad had no Cheese or Bacon crumbles. I requested that the croutons be left off the salad and be placed in a small container but they dumped them onto the salad so that they could absorb moisture and become a soggy mess when I opened the salad container. And guess what they even managed to forget my choice of salad dressing as well. Yep, No Honey Mustard. Just Ranch. Come on guys!! My partner and I visited on a Saturday night. We didn't have a wait which was surprising and welcoming. We both ordered 10oz ribeye steaks, hers medium well and mines well done. The steaks were below average. The meat was very tough and hard to eat. Expected from a well done steak but not a medium well steak! My "well done"steak had to be taken back due to the meat being pink all throughout the steak. The sides were fine nothing special about those either. The highlight was the complimentary bread. Despite that didn't complain & ordered a shinerbock & had to send that back as it was bottom of keg & had metal taste to it. Ordered grilled chicken & all you can eat shrimp. The meal was good & had the grilled garlic shrimp, went to get more and was told only deep fried available and no other options were offered. I love this little Outback. When you want a cheap, decent steak dinner, this is the place to go. The place is a little dated on the inside and I feel like I should be dining with my grandmother when I am there, but I guess that is the Outback charm? Outback is probably my favorite national steakhouse chain. It's very reasonably priced, for under $20 you get a decent steak with a salad and a side. The staff is always friendly, and there's something fun about the "Australian" theme. I almost always get the prime rib, which at the fancier restaurants is usually twice the price. The only reason I'm giving them a two star is because the hostess tries her best to fix all the problems with this nightmare of a restaurant. So we went in to have dinner for my daughters 8th birthday and before being seated we asked if they can sing happy birthday for her. They said yes and sat us. So far so good right? Then our server (kind of a C-word) got us drinks and whatnot, that didn't take her too long (maybe 20 minutes) then at some point we got food, not the right food but it was still good and we ate it with our now empty glasses (refills took a while) asked for steak sauce a few times and never got it. They had tons of extra servers standing around so we started hoping maybe they will help out. They did not. After finishing our meals and my daughter telling the server it's her 8th birthday we got some desert and then my wife went and asked the hostess if she could get together a few employees to sing (we didn't even complain about the horrible service) the hostess tried her best to at least get one person to help sing. Nobody there would help out. The whole place was just a filled weird negative people that stood around making it clear they wanted to go home. I really don't like writing bad reviews but this place was so disappointed by this place and I hope the owners look at this cause the management clearly isn't hiring the right kind of people. We go to this Outback 2 or 3 times a month for the soup and salad and the kids love the mac and cheese, etc... Interestingly, we went there tonight (a Monday night) and had a really slow kitchen service and we mentioned it and one of the managers Kaitlyn came out after being notified by the server Laura, who was doing her best to cover for the kitchen. After seeing how long it took Kaitlyn took care of the meal and gave us coupons to come back. It was not expected and we almost never complain and then accept coverage for the meal. There were very convincing and wanted to make sure we come back. Candidly, after discussing amongst ourselves it is refreshing to see a restaurant (especially a chain) and their management step up and make sure there customer leaves in a better place than when they came in, especially with adversity during the visit. Is it fair to judge a steakhouse by their cheeseburger? I think so. If you can't handle a burger, I'm not trusting you with a steak. Ordered medium, and it was pink as would expect, but how can a properly cooked medium burger be so dry and tasteless? No really, dry and tasteless. Disclaimer: My first job was at the Dallas location Outback Steakhouse ranch is my favorite restaurant ranch and I eat it with everything. The cheese fries, delicious, the quesadillas aren't like traditional quesadillas but they're so good. The Alice springs chicken is also a favorite dish of mine. I've tried all the steaks at one point in time and they're seasoned perfectly in my opinion. I always get mine cooked med rare anything more and it's too chewy. My friend was craving Caesar salad one day and I took her to Outback and it's now her fave Caesar salad. I'm a fan of the bleu cheese chopped salad. I honestly think there are very few menu items I dislike, except the crab cakes, I've never liked those. All restaurants have the same layout relatively. Lots of booths and a few tables. The bar is also open seating, so if there's a wait you can hightail it there. I can't think of a time I've ever had horrible service. The most I've had to do a couple times is send my steak back for being overcooked. All in all Outback is one of my favorite two $$ dining establishments. read more

I prefer the classic style technique on my steak because it seams to seal in the juices of the meat making it tender and juicy. Vs. the wood fire grill.
