If I could give this review 0 stars I would. We went to Outback on Saturday night around 7:30 pm. We sat at the bar. There were 5 people at the bar, all with drinks and food. The empty seats had dirty dishes pile in front of them. There were 2 bartenders. Looked like they were working the service bar as well so we appreciated they were busy. 5 minutes, 10 minutes 15+ minutes go by. No eye contact, no "I'll be right with you - NOTHING. I appreciate help is challenging to find right now. But how much effort does it take to say "Hello" and let us know you are busy but will be with us as soon as possible. We left and will NOT be back. Too many choices in the area. We walked over to Cinco. We were greeted immediately and has chips and salsa on the table before we were even fully seated in the booth. Came in on a very busy night. Seating at a table would have taken forever. I went and sat the bar where a had the most pleasant time. Brianna and Amber took the best care of me. Disappointing meal. We ate at our local Outback last night. It was our first visit at this location. On the plus side, the server was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the food was below average. We did the Blooming Onion. It was just OK. I had the bone in strip steak. My spouse had 12 oz ribeye. Both were flavorless. The steaks were cooked as requested but just didn't offer the flavor I had hoped for. The baked potatoes were small and had a crunchy skin. The side salads were OK. Coming from someone who frequently eats at this outback. The service that I received on 12/17/2022, was the worst service I have ever received. I arrived there around 5:45. Myself and my guest ordered a blooming onion we received that shortly in this time we also received our drinks. We then told the waiter what we were going to order. I ordered the Queensland chicken and shrimp pasta. The person I was with order the Kinglands pasta. We then watched our waiter come back and forth. 2 guest that arrived after us got their food and were preparing to leave. We asked for the check when the waiter told us the manager was suppose to come talk to us and he never came. We sat there for an hour and no body came and talked to us to discuss what was going on. This is my 3rd review. I am so disappointed in my last meal. This seems to be a theme going on at restaurants. Mediocre meal and an outrageous price. My food was just blah. I ordered the filet and lobster. The first thing I noticed on my plate was I thought I had two steaks. Then I realized that one of the steaks was actually my potato. It was so old, small and over cooked. It was actually the exact same size as my 4 ounce filet. The filet was good, not great and I'm wondering if it was actually filet. It just didn't have the texture I have come to associate with filet. The lobster had been frozen for so long it had freezer burn. Not to mention that I've had larger shrimp. I cut it into two pieces and shared it with my husband. We each got one bite. It was literally that small. At first I thought it was a joke but I was the only one laughing. Everything on the plate was swimming in butter. Our waitress was very good, but very slow. She let us sit for longer than she should have, but I'm not sure she knew better. She was a very young girl, and this may have been her first waitressing job. A meal that should've been over in 30 minutes. Took an hour and a half. The restaurant was not overly busy and the waitstaff stood around talking more then caring for their tables. All in all the night was awful. I would not do another birthday at outback. When we first walked in, the hostess was really rude and wanted to split up my family of 6 into 2 separate areas. We didn't have a great first impression for sure... Thankfully that was sorted out and Ryan was our waiter. He was absolutely amazing and turned around the whole experience for us!! He recommended great drinks for us, and was really patient with our kiddos. He checked on us often, refilled our drinks, kept us updated on our food, and even told us a little about the area since we recently moved here. He even made sure our steaks were cooked at the correct temperature we had requested as soon as he set our plates down and left to attend other tables. Consistently great! I've lived here for three years and Outback has not disappointed me yet. The food is cooked to perfection every time, especially my steaks. Most restaurants tend to dry chicken out but not today. I had the Parmesan chicken. Cooked to perfection and not dry like most other places. The entire staff is on point! Always going above and beyond for great customer satisfaction. There was a family sitting next to mine with a special needs child. Love love love going to the Outback Steakhouse in Bluffton. It is a MUST every time me and my family come into town. The restaurant is clean, the staff are friendly, and the food is hot and delicious! My dad got the bacon bourbon salmon with sweet potato and asparagus. I got the unlimited shrimp (garlic and herb / crispy). Everything was great!! We got our food in less than 15 minutes! Nothing like speedy service. The owner, Josh Kight, even came by our table and asked how our meal and experience was. All of our food was cold and my friend's ribs were freezing cold and hard as a rock, we asked to get a new rack and our server rolled her eyes and took 20 more minutes to get him new ribs. Went in for dinner around 7:00 on a Monday. The host and waitress were both great. The waitress was friendly, pleasant, and on top of things. The food was good but the steaks were over cooked. Everything was basically medium-well for whatever reason. Our waitress checked in our table at least 4 times between us ordering and finishing our meal. My most recent visit was when my girlfriend and her family all ate here for my girlfriends birthday lunch. The blooming onion was overcooked and no one enjoyed it. The salads were very soggy. Lastly to top it off, my girlfriends birthday steak was the worst quality of meat she's ever had and it was a FILET. We recently went back to outback after having several meals that were not very great. This time, the food was cooked well, but the temperature wasn't as warm as it needed to be. The manager stopped by and asked how our food was; we had not made a complaint but he saw that my husband had eaten very little of his meal. Reason is it was not warm. Mine was fine. But the proprietor took the ticket and tore it up in front of us and refused to let us pay for our meal. We stated we didn't want or need that but he insisted and even offered for us to come back and have another meal at his expense. While I won't do that, it was such a nice gesture.
