This review is based on Thursday night 6/11/26. Customer Service was Excellent. We were seated within 10 minutes of arrival. Sean introduced himself and started with our order right away. We were Celebrating my daughter's Senior Graduation, party of 7. The 2 appetizers were the blooming flower,it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The mozzarella sticks were crunchy on the outside and cheesy on the inside. My sister and I shared the New Aussie steak Sammie, steak was thinly sliced, tomato and melted cheese it was Delicious, served with fries. Sean offered to have the order served in 2 seperate plates- something other places don't offer. We also asked for the wedge salad, it was perfectly decorated with its toppings! My husband ordered the same Aussie steak Sammie and he couldn't finish it, took the rest home. My 2 daughter's also shared the steak and shrimp Alfredo pasta, the loved it. Stopped by for ribeye steak and blooming onions. It's been a few years so wanted to try it out again! Same favorites are still there. You can order appetizers and drinks from the tableside tablet but be careful you may accidentally pay for games (server was able to remove). Blooming onion was a little salty. Steak was a little salty on the crust but the au jus and horseradish helped. It does get quite busy! My lady and I had drinks together as a part of our first date ever, so it holds a special place for us. We always sit in the bar area. They have a great selection of mixed drinks and signature cocktails too, which sets them apart from many other places. And I'm sure I don't need to mention the food, but I will. Outback's food is consistently great. Always. From steaks to ribs to chicken, pasta, salads, sandwiches and burgers, or just clever appetizers, you won't leave hungry. You'll probably leave with a to-go box with enough for lunch the following day! Why only four stars then? Well, at this location I think attentiveness to customers waiting to order could have been better. We sat at a booth in the bar area, and the area was fairly busy. I happened to overhear a single gentleman in the booth behind me tell a passing waiter, "I'm ready to order now," in a tone that told me he'd been waiting a bit long already before we arrived. The waiter said he'd be right back, and about five or ten minutes later he did come back, but came to our table instead of his. I politely indicated that the other man had been waiting longer and should be helped first. I don't think I should have had to tell him that. That seems like Waiter 101. Anyway not a huge deal. Their potato soup alone is a reason to keep going back. Although I wish they would give you more potatoes in the soup because a bowl is $10 should not just be all liquid. They have a good lunch special for 15 bucks you get a very tiny piece of steak taste delicious though and a side and of course they're warm bread. I don't mind the portion of the steak because I have to cut back on my food sizes. So it's perfect for me but for other people I would assume they would be disappointed in that size. Celebrated my sister's birthday lunch and had the best experience! From the customer service to the delicious variety of dishes, we couldn't have chosen a better place. Although Outback if a franchise, I'd chose here over any of the overpriced privately owned restaurants in LA county. We came to Outback because we didn't feel like driving anywhere and we'd been shopping nearby. I haven't been to an Outback in years and I must say I wasn't missing much. After looking at the menu I realized nothing stood out to me. I just could not find anything that sounded appealing. I ended up going with the Aussie fries minus the bacon and I ordered the blooming onion because, I mean, you have to when you go to Outback. The hubs and our oldest got the 5oz sirloin lunch specials...one with the sweet potato and added Caesar salad and one with the loaded baked potato. Our youngest went with the outback burger lunch special with the loaded baked potato. I was not impressed with the Aussie fries as they were bland and the ranch given tasted like Hidden Valley. They would've been way better if they'd made the ranch homemade. The blooming onion was delicious but I didn't care for the sauce that came with it. I asked for ranch but that didn't taste any better so I ate it plain. Everyone else enjoyed their food. The hubs devoured his sweet potato saying it was the best thing he ordered. He especially loved the cinnamon on it. He let me taste his salad and it was fresh and crisp and the dressing was delicious. Our waitress was nice and attentive making sure our drinks stayed full. So we walked in to what seemed like a slow night. Sat bar and ordered our food. The place looked clean for the most part and the bartender was very friendly. BUT... then the smell came about. A foul smell lingered around the bar and then we started to see a bunch of gnats flying around the area. I love coming to the Outback Steakhouse in Burbank. This is my second time here and I came back specifically because they have a pet friendly outdoor patio with heaters, which is hard to find and makes it really comfortable. The staff is so attentive, the drinks are delicious, and it is honestly a place where you get a big bang for your buck. The prices are surprisingly cheap for how good the food and service are. Our server Robert was extremely kind. He explained the menu to us, checked on us often, and never let our drinks get low, even though we were the only table sitting outside. The manager Ulysses also came out to check on us and had a really nice conversation with us, which made the experience even better. Waiting 20+ minutes after we were seated to have someone finally approach our table for drinks is diabolical. I'll start by saying that when we walked in, we requested a booth as it didn't seem super packed and there were a lot of options. The hostess said they only had seats at a table or the bar area and I asked if I could just wait or put my name down for a booth instead. She seemed slightly hesitant but said it might be a long wait and took down my info. My party and I walked outside and after literally walking through the doors to get some fresh air I got a text saying our table was ready. With no hesitation, the hostess came out calling my name as to hurry us to the door. We just made eye contact and she saw us and we followed her in. We were seated and like I mentioned previously, waited a very long time for our waitress to stop by. She apologized profusely and, thankfully, we were ready to place our entire order at once so we just told her it's fine and let her know what we wanted. The server was a sweetheart and she, herself, was great so this is nothing really against her because i'm sure the reason she didn't come around to check on us much or even for the delay in the beginning was not on her; she did mention they were short staffed, so.. The real horror was paying $100+ for the food we received. We placed an order for the blooming onion, two 9oz sirloin combo plates with ribs, and we picked mac n cheese, soup, and mashed potatoes for the sides. Now, looking at the picture, that sirloin doesn't even look like it's 5oz let alone 9oz. The other plate had better portions but the one in the photo was the worst of the two for sure. The sirloin itself was very rubbery and hard to chew. I usually get medium cooked everywhere I go, so I'm familiar with the texture and it was just not this. Also, everything we got was just so flavorless. The soup came hot, so that's good, but after one taste I had to use as much salt n pepper as possible to make it taste good. Oh and another thing; don't ever order their mac n cheese. Because why are they considering this item to be an extra add-on side but it is probably the worst mac I have ever tasted. It has barely any taste to it, hardly any cheese on it, and is just not worth the extra mark up. I'm so extremely disappointed with everything here. I used to love coming to this exact location with my family throughout the years. I wondered for a long time why I hadn't visited and decided to come in tonight for that exact reason; well, now I have my answer. Probably one of the worst service I have yet to encounter. The only thing good about this visit was the wait time to get a table especially for a Friday night. Ordered our drinks and appetizers first from a server who was covering our waiter since they were on break or lunch when we came in. They seemed not happy or eager to help us. Took our order. Got our appetizers and drinks. And our real server came and asked if we ordered, we said yes. No follow up for a while. We must have waited at least 40 mins until we asked another server to follow up on our food, still got no follow up. Then went to the front to ask for a manager to ask if we can get someone to check on our food . Someone finally came to us and said they're getting it ready. 10 mins later they finally apologize and said there was a mix up and delivered our food. Apologized and offered us dessert on them. This chain has gone downhill since the last time I ate here (2018-ish). The food was oily, salty, and somehow still flavorless. My NY strip steak was incredibly fatty and impossible to cut because there was this strange membrane. Needless to say I was disgusted so the waiter offered to send it back and replace with a new steak. The mac and cheese tasted like parsley. They were immediately able to seat our large party of 12 and our server immediately came to take our drink orders. The drinks were delicious and so was the food. I ordered the ribeye and grilled shrimp with mashed potatoes and a salad as my sides. I ordered my steak medium and it was cooked perfectly. Went Christmas Eve around 4pm. Open free parking since it's in "The Hanger" plaza in Burbank which is huge. Very nice and cozy inside. Bathroom was very smelly and dirty. Our waitress was so so kind, got drinks and food out fast within 20minutes. Bloomin onion: very crispy and good but sauce was alright, preferred ranch. Everything was great for the food and the price. Rib and steak combo, only 4 piece rib with a 6oz steak, very small portion but that's okay because of the sides. The baked potato was pretty dry.
