    Beef Teriyaki and BBQ Pork
    Giselle M.

Been coming here for years. I love this little hole in the wall place. The food tastes really good. Especially their pork sizzling plate and beef sizzling plate. Their Philadelphia roll is big too and always tastes fresh. Their service is nice and friendly and they make sure you're okay. Definitely recommend coming here! They're located across the street from Denny's and have plenty of parking

Fast service large menu to choose from homey feeling. Pretty frequent by workers on their lunch nearby. They have water stations and free parking lot. They are also on classpass so you can easily book the food here when you are not using the credits for wellness. Great if you are sick can't make the schedules or traveling use your classpass credits here. I like the bibimbap ask for the grilled vegetables and extra sauce

I am completely in love with their BBQ chicken (medium spicy). Service is always good & fast (not too fast, imho too fast is NOT a good sign!) It's a little dumpy but the food I order is awesome & make sure everyone gets their own cups! Cute managers sign about it on drinks machine! And it's a bit pricey but worth it. Lots of parking. Kamsa hamneda!!

My husband comes here regularly and highly recommends the BBQ chicken. We started with the tempura appetizer and it was so good. It's crunchy and I loved the veggies they used; sweet potato, string bean, onion (which my hubby hogged) and broccoli. The BBQ chicken is so delicious. It's juicy and so full of flavor. It comes with rice. The place is small and clean but there is always someone leaving so there's availability to enjoy one's meal at the restaurant. The service is great and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Tried this place out with my family since my brother in law kept on bragging about it. This small mom and pop shop is delicious and the service is great. We ordered a variety of plates and all of them were tasteful. We definitely will be returning soon. Thank you for the great service!

Terrible and rude service from the Asian lady in the front, teriyaki tasted like sink water. I should stand outside and pay people NOT to go in.

First time here after passing by it for years, glad we finally stopped! This is such a cute family run spot that makes LA what LA is all about. Great prices, great food, and great service. Will be making it one of our routine stops.

My last 2 visits were better. Deserves a star increase. I had the beef bulgogi first then the pork. Came out sizzling hot, and smelled wonderful.

Upon entering the establishment, the ambience of the place embraces you as a guest. Small, but nicely decorates and with good music playing. It's a very comfortable environment for enjoying this stellar barbecue and sides. Smaller menu, but it's really all you need, especially when you do the one thing you do really well. Mashed potatoes are authentic handmade mashed potatoes with the taste of home. BBQ was perfect and tender and TASTY. Reminder 1: this is quality food, not fast food, so be prepared to wait a little bit, especially if you have a larger order. Reminder 2: BBQ it's not a cheap food to make, so you will not find any dollar menus here, but if you compare to Manny, the other barbecue restaurants in their location, you will find this is an extremely good value.

Ribs Plate Combo with mac and cheese and cornbread for my sides. The ribs were almost falling off the bone but still with a bit of chew on it, which I appreciated because I don't like mushy meat. The sauce was tangy and sticky and not too vinegary. Good stuff, but couldn't finish so it came home with me. The big surprise was the cornbread. Most BBQ places concentrate on the meat and leave the sides as afterthoughts so that means cornbreads tend to be disappointingly dry. Not this one. This cornbread was moist and flavorful. The mac and cheese was just okay. Should have gone with the beans. My dining companion and I also got to sample some sliders and they were pretty damn good. Wish those had been on the menu. Service was good although, most people were taking their food to go. The atmosphere inside was warm for a cool day and almost too warm as my companion had to shed her jacket before we started eating so she wouldn't overheat. Not sure I'd be able eat inside on a hot summer day. They do cater and parking is street and a miniscule parking in the back. I believe it's only credit/debit only, but check first. Pricing is reasonable, but remember, it is beef you're paying for so definitely a splurge day. Happy eating!!!

However, I am compelled to rate this establishment one star due to a particularly unpleasant experience with a female deli employee whose first name begins with the letter "J." Despite my frequent visits, the overall customer service in the deli and meats department has declined. The season butchers have been replaced with individuals lacking the necessary experience and customer courtesy that were previously present. Over the past three months, I have encountered the same issues with this particular employee. It is important to note that the fee charged for slicing a Tri Tip into a carton container is not the primary concern. The issue lies in the employee's behavior and attitude, specifically their unwillingness to properly wrap the sliced meat. This has occurred on multiple occasions, most recently at the checkout counter when the cashier pull the foil-wrapped package from the plastic bag causing the juices of the meat to spill all over the counter. This has happened to me every time this employee has served me. The Tri Tip sliced meat is dry and devoid of juices due to this careless employee's failure to wrap the meat carefully. It is imperative that this situation be addressed. Management should provide this employee, "J," with proper training on how to wrap sliced food correctly. Additionally, it is crucial the ambiance that all employees, including the deli and butcher employees, maintain a pleasant and friendly demeanor. A salutation is always appreciated. Despite these concerns, the BBQ remains outstanding as always.

I'll go one by one as I really didn't skimp on any of it..... First off, the brisket was so tender I couldn't even get it on to my plate originally. I had to keep stabbing at it with a fork and it just kept falling into pieces it was magical. The flavor was amazing with the perfect combination of that smokey and fire grilled taste. Didn't even need to use any sauce, but don't sleep on their BBQ sauce it had the perfect flavor of not too acidic and not too sugary. It's hard to stop eating it. I had to follow it up with the brisket quesadillas because.... well because they were staring at me and I had to show them who was boss.... Again, insane flavor combo and pleasantly addicting. Next move I had to throw down on a couple of hot wings to make sure my taste buds were still jumping and ready for the upcoming situation. Just for reference purposes, nice little kick with a bit of smokey flavor. Could've eaten 20 in one sitting but was continuing on my path of BBQ destruction. We now veered over to the baby back ribs .... I think I ate 10 before I realized what was going on. Yet again, the flavor was perfect and the meat was cooked to perfection. It didn't need any sauce, but I was a big fan of loading up on the BBQ sauce for these bad boys..... Next I shifted my fat eyed focus over to the tri-tip. It had that perfect pink center looking like a medium rare meaty super model. I went a different route here and dipped it into this horseradish sauce concoction that I never seen or heard of in my life. I don't know what was in that sauce, but it was phenomenal. I could have literally eaten this stuff by itself, but everyone was looking so I didn't want to make it weird. The tri-tip itself didn't even need any sauce and was super juicy, but that sauce just elevated the taste to another level. Now we decided to go a different location on the farm pay tribute to some smoked chicken. I had to dabble with both the BBQ sauce and the horseradish sauce as my dipping/smothering choices for this tasty bird. Couldn't even tell you how great it was without the sauce, since my mind was already fading trying to fight off my meat sweat coma. Lastly for our protein portion of the evening, I had to top it off with some of that pulled pork. Now this was extremely flavorful and some of the best I've had in quite some time. I did however enjoy lathering it up with that BBQ sauce like some of his fellow plate mates I already devoured. I will give a shout out to the sides, even though I only had a brief taste of each as I was going hard on the proteins. High fives to the potato salad, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, street corn, corn bread, tator tots and collard greens. I may have possibly missed one or 2, but after gorging on disgusting amounts of food, you tend to forget things. Had to make sure to sneak some of those greens in there so my heart didn't give out.... I however did not indulge in the chips and salsa that were there since I didn't want to come off as a pig..... So instead (as I forgot to mention previously), I took the queso and poured it over some pulled pork because that's what needed to happen at that moment.... Boom! For the grand finale, we had this banana pudding dessert that literally put me over the top. If I could openly cuss on this platform, I genuinely would.... It was absolutely orgasmic. That's right, you read that correctly. I don't know what they put in that thing, but to call it amazing would be an understatement. Pretty sure I blacked out at some point while finishing my bowl of dessert. As you can read, I was not a fan of any of the food in any way shape or form.(Sarcasm ...) I look forward to going back, but I will need to wait until I awake from this painful food coma I've been fighting off since the ending of the World Cup match watching USA beat the breaks off of Bosnia with one man down. Much love on the food and I happily dedicate this extra fat fold on my stomach and the 8lb weight gain to AJ's BBQ.
