    Outback ribeye
    Ves S.

Stopped by for ribeye steak and blooming onions. It's been a few years so wanted to try it out again! Same favorites are still there. You can order appetizers and drinks from the tableside tablet but be careful you may accidentally pay for games (server was able to remove). Blooming onion was a little salty. Steak was a little salty on the crust but the au jus and horseradish helped. It does get quite busy! We came at the tail end of happy hour and was seated immediately; once we finished our meal there was a line out the door! Staff was pleasant and helpful.

I ordered a new york steak with loaded mashed potatoes and seasoned rice. Every thing on my plate was cooked to perfection. The sear on my steak and the seasoning was point medium on the inside and juicy. Chef Ramsay would approve. Waiters would check in often including the manager. Will definitely continue coming here.

Came in for a quick drink around 10pm. Bartender poured a strong skinny b*ch. In and out in 20 mins.

I came for the lunch special. It was pretty small. The piece of chicken was kind of dry. Lot's of mashed potatoes. The service was fine. It wasn't necissarily the value for the price once the small portion is seen. The Martini was well made. I sat a the bar and there were two televisions playing sports.

this potatsoup alone is woth the visit . next time no bacon cheese 4 me. it doesn't need it but good tho

Their potato soup alone is a reason to keep going back. Although I wish they would give you more potatoes in the soup because a bowl is $10 should not just be all liquid. They have a good lunch special for 15 bucks you get a very tiny piece of steak taste delicious though and a side and of course they're warm bread. I don't mind the portion of the steak because I have to cut back on my food sizes. So it's perfect for me but for other people I would assume they would be disappointed in that size. Again the food is good though and I'm not complaining.

    Caesar salad with salmon

Celebrated my sister's birthday lunch and had the best experience! From the customer service to the delicious variety of dishes, we couldn't have chosen a better place. Although Outback if a franchise, I'd chose here over any of the overpriced privately owned restaurants in LA county. We ordered the Aussie cheese fries, wings, Caesar salad and steak with a side of mashed potatoes. We cleared every plate and had definitely got our money's worth. Thanks again for making my sister's birthday so special!

We came to Outback because we didn't feel like driving anywhere and we'd been shopping nearby. I haven't been to an Outback in years and I must say I wasn't missing much. After looking at the menu I realized nothing stood out to me. I just could not find anything that sounded appealing. I ended up going with the Aussie fries minus the bacon and I ordered the blooming onion because, I mean, you have to when you go to Outback. The hubs and our oldest got the 5oz sirloin lunch specials...one with the sweet potato and added Caesar salad and one with the loaded baked potato. Our youngest went with the outback burger lunch special with the loaded baked potato. I was not impressed with the Aussie fries as they were bland and the ranch given tasted like Hidden Valley. They would've been way better if they'd made the ranch homemade. The blooming onion was delicious but I didn't care for the sauce that came with it. I asked for ranch but that didn't taste any better so I ate it plain. Everyone else enjoyed their food. The hubs devoured his sweet potato saying it was the best thing he ordered. He especially loved the cinnamon on it. He let me taste his salad and it was fresh and crisp and the dressing was delicious. Our waitress was nice and attentive making sure our drinks stayed full. Outback is a basic franchise restaurant. It's nothing fancy and usually you go when you know exactly what to expect...basic. If that's for you, then you'll be happy.

They do have parking behind the building which seems to fill pretty quickly if they're busy, but it's easy to find parking around the neighborhood. I am not usually in the tavern scene so I was surprised that we had to order and pay at the bar, but it wasn't a big issue. My friend and I split the kale caesar salad and the macaroni and cheese. For the table, I ordered the waffle fries after being informed by the kind waitress that that was the better choice over the pretzel (which she also said was amazing). Since the place was filling up for the final, the kitchen was a bit slow, but we barely noticed with how attentive the staff were in getting us drinks and refills. When it came to food, we were pleasantly surprised with this place and is honestly the reason I'm writing this review. The first things we got were the Beef Tallow Waffle Fries, Caesar Salad, and mac and cheese. Obviously the fries were much better, however the salad was also divine but just swimming in dressing. Back to the fries, we all were mindblown with how tavern fries could be this good and had so many flavors. Even the skinny queens in our group kept snacking on them which tells you how good these were. Mac and cheese came and it was standard and creamy but not necessarily something I'd return for. The surprising thing on top of the fries that majority of us loved was the Vegan Tomato Scampi with shrimp. It was fire and had me questioning if it was even Vegan. Would definitely return here if I find my way back to SoCal from the Bay. Great unassuming place with great food and vibes. Their bathroom as well is super clean and nice! Love this place!

We had reservations but it was completely packed on a Monday night. This place must be minting money. The whole restaurant has an old school feel to it. The garlic cheese bread half order was enough for 4 people to each have a slice with a couple of pieces left over. We jokingly compared it to Sizzler cheese bread. The grilled artichoke had a nice smokey flavor. The Prime Rib with mash potatoes was pretty good too. All in all, it was a good meal and I'm glad we got to experience the iconic restaurant. Not sure I would come back given all of the other great dining options in L.A. I didn't like that there was very little free parking available and valet was $10. The pastrami was great and not overly salty. It had a great zing from the crunchy pickles and mustard. The Philly was nice and gooey. This is top notch, grade A food and service! You're definitely going to feel it in your pockets but…read moreit's totally worth it. So here's a quick back story! Yah boy had been grinding all week at work and I felt like I needed to treat myself, so I ordered the boys Taco Bell from postmates, got them situated at the house and then I stepped out to grab me a steak. I had no clue where I was going, so I pulled over on the side of the street to see which steak place was open until 10pm because it was already like 8:40pm. Blvd closes at 10p on the weekends, so I shot to Sherman Oaks! I found parking across the street but they do offer valet but there was no need since metered street parking was free at that time. As I walked up, security opened the door for me, the hostess asked how many and took me to my table. The place was very nice with a huge bar in the middle. There was great music playing, which was 90's hip hop and some r&b. Apparently, the owner has a few famous hip hop artists investors and is a hip hop head himself. He also owns Taisho sushi restaurant across the street along with Anderson Paak (that's the word around town). Anyway, the place was very nice and classy! Definitely a grown folks vibe with hip millennials dressed nice at the bar and reciting the lyrics to the music and a few grooving to it as well. My waiter was great! He helped me decide on my order and I decided to go with a 6oz petite filet, the sautéed shrimp and the smashed broccoli. Everything was top notch! That steak was everything I could ask for and the bread and sauce together with the shrimp was that chef's kiss! I'm not going to lie, this place was so good that I told my wife about it and we went back two days later. With her we tried the meatballs, which were fire! We also got the wedge salad, which was good but the pancake croutons or whatever were a little weird and I got the same steak but with blue cheese crust and broccoli. We also got a few drinks (Peach Julep & Watermelon Margareta) and the butter cake with fresh strawberries and ice cream. All of which were amazing! We went all out! Our bill was crazy but it was well worth it just to get out and have a date night. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking to have a date night. Normally out of our budget, but worth every penny as everything from the food, to the ambiance, and most of all service, was absolutely perfect. Such a positive and friendly demeanor from their entire team. Sometimes you get nervous at places like these where the staff might be uppity or snobby. Thank you all so much, and will certainly return for another special occasion.
