On a scheduled group outing with those with special needs, we had called in our reservations for 6pm on Saturday, March 14. But because of the area we needed was occupied by a large party that decided to stay for 2 and a half hours, they weren't able to seat us. We did wait until after 7:15pm, but because we were on a time frame where we had to be down the road at 8pm. The manager on duty, a front of the house manager, apologized and offered to make up some appetizers to hold us over until we could return later, after our event. This Outstanding Manager went above and beyound to ensure our non-displeasure... We went on to our event and returned for a big dinner based solely upon this manager taking a bad situation and making it as good as possible. The food was awesome. Terrible meal, I could go down the street to Trio and spend the same for an amazing experience. The quality of Outback Steakhouse has seriously declined through the years. I am picky but usually if my meal is unsatisfactory I will take it home, put it in the fridge, and let it rot. This was too bad to pay for, My ribeye was thin and leather like. I ordered medium rare and received a charred steak. The server didn't come back by for 15 minutes so my husband ate his salmon, which was ok, while I sat there hungry and mad. Okay, the service was good. The steaks were pretty tasty. My real complaint here was that my salad was drowning in dressing...order it on the side. Shrimp were also over-cooked, but that's pretty normal for most chain restaurants, I should have known better than to order them. Stick with a steak and you should be reasonably pleased. read more

As far as standard chain steak houses go this one is pretty good. Outback is my favorite of the group and a solid 3 star joint. I gave it a 4 star because this location has very good service, they have always been very tentative with a positive attitude. The food is always what I expect, consistent. I would rather go to a place that is always average than one that is excellent one day and awful the next. My favorite menu item is the wedge salad, pretty simple, yet very good. With all the great independent places in the city this chain is never my first choice but I can say I have never regretted a vist. read more

Went to try Outback for the first time because I've recently had to change to a gluten free diet. I found out online they have a great gluten free menu! I visited this location after the lunch rush to be sure not to bother anyone with my gluten free requirements. They weren't very busy and were not very crowded for a Saturday. I ordered a new york strip with a salad and a sweet potato. My steak was cooked perfect, salad was exceptional, and my sweet potato was great! I was very pleased with their new grass fed offerings too. I would give this place a shot! I will be back! read more

Overall, it was just an average experience. I went with my husband and everything we got was lackluster. I ordered the classic tenderloin chopped steak and it wasn't what I expected. I should've asked for a bun with my burger patty. We likely will not be back, as the service was slow, food was average, and our server was clearly trying to rush us out of the restaurant by trying to bring the check multiple times before we were ready. We had to wait for almost a hour to get to our table and almost 30 minutes to order. once we ordered it seemed like our waitress totally forgot about us. she has been very rude to all of my family and forgot a lot of our food. my older sister has a gluten allergy and she made it very clear to the waitress but when she got her salad there were croutons in it so we had to send it back. once my mother's boyfriend finished his drink she filled up mine wit mostly ice then walked away. he had to walk to the bar to get a refill. my family will never come back here. read more

My mom just finished chemotherapy and this is the first time she's had steak in almost a year - and the waitress, Rachel, made the experience even better than expected! Not only was she phenomenal and super sensitive to my mom's changing tastebuds, but she didn't even bat an eye when we accidentally spilled margaritas and ketchup on the table. She was incredible and made my mom, who has been very hesitant about going in public, feel welcome and comfortable which was a gift in and of itself. And then she even asked the restaurant to buy my mom's steak since (Rachel's words) "it was a party" and they wanted to help us celebrate. It was such a kind gesture and overall wonderful experience. I never write Yelp reviews but the service today was so terrible that I felt I had to. I have come to this restaurant a few times before and have had great service but today that wasn't the case. Our server, i believe her name was Zoey, had a terrible attitude the entire time. She was rude and impatient. She rolled her eyes and would walk away from the table before we were finish talking to her. We ordered a few appetizers and they took forever to come out (granted she may not have had control of that, she never came back to check on us). She was clearly having a bad day and she took it out on us. Despite how rude she was, the manager was great and very helpful and the food was good. As we were leaving we heard her talking rudely about us to coworkers. She would have ruined our dinner if it wasn't for the manager. Hopefully, the she has a better day next time. read more

I have been to this outback several times and unfortunately the food has slowly gone down hill. I think tonight it hit rock bottom. I ordered the Outback Special to go and needed it to be medium. Apparently bleeding counts at medium enough. The first piece was too heavily seasoned and chewy, it red poured from the poor thing. Unfortunately, I live in an apartment and don't have a grill, so I couldn't just fix it myself. The restaurant is detached and uninterested. Spend the extra few dollars to treat yourself somewhere else like Texas Roadhouse or longhorn where the quality of both food AND service will be better! read more

If our server paid as much attention to our table as she did to her friends at the next table, she would have been given more than the 15% we left. I haven't been to an Outback in years. Unfortunately it may be many more years before I ever will again. The service was very good. The blooming Onion served hot and very tasty. I ordered the medallions cooked medium rare ( just pink with a hint of red). What I got was stew meat on a stick! Nope. They were tough and not worth the $18.95 for a, suppose to be, tender delicate cut of beef. The steamed veggies were microwaved to mush. The Garlic potatoes were very good, just on the brink of over salted. The steamed asparagus was huge, which means they're old, the last cut of the growing season. They are tough and woody. Outback seems to be about portion size over quality. Overall experience was disappointing. The two stars are for the excellent server I had. She was patient and attentive, despite being a busy night. I was really conflicted about giving this business such a bad rating because I have been to this particular location several times before with my family and have enjoyed my past experiences. However, today was very different. I decided to try Outback for lunch today; I ordered and paid online (very smooth layout, no tech issues). My email confirmation said my food would be ready at 12:39 but I did not get it until 12:55 (my office is 5 minutes away). I probably could have excused the timing issue had the server been more pleasant with me but he was very rude. After I signed my receipt slip, the server snatched the book away and walked off. I said "Thank you" after I was handed my bag but the server did not say anything back and again, just walked off. Once I got back to my office, my food was of course cool. I did not heat it up because my steak was medium well at best, NOT medium as requested so I did not want to risk it being even more tough than it was. I was also missing silverware. I did not catch my server's name (most likely because he did not care to give it) but my receipt says Check: 27, Table: 997, Date: 8/23/17, Time: 12:09 PM if that helps management at all. I do recommend this location for DINE IN service but it's safe to say I'm done with curbside lunch here. read more

It was an all around excellent experience tonight. Saturday night walked in and got seated (at a booth in the bar area) right away. (It was late, so while the parking lot was full, the diners were eating or leaving.) While Outback would not have been my first choice (or probably any choice I made) it was very good. I ordered grilled salmon with a house salad and the grilled veggies (which is what the salmon comes with). The BF ordered prime rib, steamed lobster tail, baked potato and Caesar salad. My salad was okay (I really love their croutons), but the veggies and salmon were really good. So often when you go out the veggies are never cooked enough or have all the flavor cooked out of them. These veggies were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. I ordered the salmon cooked well, because I hate it when it comes out raw in the middle. The salmon came out cooked perfectly, yet still moist. It was very good. The BF said his Caesar was "meh," but said the lobster tail was the best he'd ever had and the prime rib was perfect (and rare, the way he likes it). Horrible experience. Walked in sat down at the bar, the stools were so rickety they felt like they were going to fall apart. Told the bartender we came in for the last day of their steak and endless shrimp. She told me they ran out. I said ok and asked for a tall Miller lite. She walks back over and says "we're out of Miller lite." Asked to see the manager. He comes over and I said you guys already have two strikes. Somehow you're out of shrimp. He says yeah we ran out. I said so you're telling me if I ordered shrimp pasta or shrimp on the barbie, you can't make it? He says no, that's different. "We ran out of unlimited shrimp." WTF? I said that sounds like a bait & switch. Then I said what about the Miller lite? He says we're out of draft, we do have bottles. I said why didn't your bartender say that? He just shrugged. I said you've given me nothing but excuses. You have one more chance to make this right, you know like your ad says, "no rules, just right." He just mumbles something about getting me fed. Went prime time on Friday night. This man was measuring the ceiling above our table while we and people near us were eating. He even went in the womens restroom with a woman in there. The service is horrifying - stay far away. I asked our waitress if they had a drink - one which I suspected could be seasonal. They told me "Yes, we do have it"...proceeds to bring me a completely different drink. After waiting for 15 minutes for my partner's drink, and 3 attempts at getting the waitress's attention, she finally said "No, you asked for this one"...the manager stopped by and explained that the drink I asked for was seasonal and they didn't have it. He then gave me my menu back to pick something new (which is reasonable), so I had decided on a new drink when the waitress stopped by to say "They're making your drink over". She then dropped off our meals and asked if she could get us anything else. When I asked her if I could get the drink she said they were making me, she said "Oh, you were supposed to decide on something new and they'd make it.".....No one had asked me what I wanted, and it wasn't until I pointed out that she'd not asked me what I wanted that I got a "Oh....yeah...what do you want" - I never got a drink. No one was asked about refills, dessert, nothing and the manager never arrived to check if my drink issue was resolved. When our check arrived, the "Feedback" part was folded over and hidden. The owner of the restaurant proceeded to call after my feedback, explained he expected better and wanted to send me gift cards to ask me to give them a chance to try again. Never received anything in the mail either. I guess at least the food was hot. The service was terrible and the waitress and manager didn't give much of a care about anyone's service or experience. We've been eating at this Outback location two/three times a month since we moved here. Something has changed here since Christmas and not for the best. It used to be a great restaurant but tonight's meal was 2 1/2 hours of hell. Last time we were here the food and service was sucked too, tonight was the 2nd chance. There's always a wait at Outback especially on a Friday night and we expect that so we register ahead on line. Tonight we did that but they said the computer went down and we had to wait 30 minutes, no problem until it turned into 1:10 minute wait. Table was dirty when we were seated. The service was horrible once seated it took 10 min to get some drinks, never did get the bread she said she would be right back with. Then another 10 minutes wait till we could order then another 40 minutes until the food arrived at the table. But the chicken and the baked potato was not cooked sick barley cooked half raw chicken. While we were waiting for our food the people next to us got so mad that they got u and left. Their fish was raw and they sent it back to the kitchen then when they brought it back it was charred and hard like a brick. Not worth the wait avoid this place read more

Every year, my amazing 91 year old grandfather takes us all to Outback for dinner. Service has always been decent. Last year the server did point out that the busser got so much of a percentage of her tip, which was tacky, but other than that...it's been fine. This year, the service wasn't bad as far as basic service standards, but I have a gluten allergy and it was not taken very seriously...let me tell you why. I looked online to make sure what to order and what to avoid. I know the normal stuff, but a lot of "rubs" and "spice mixes", "sauces" and "dressings" have gluten. The website says to order everything without seasoning (the veggies) and get the steak fire-grilled (which does not have seasoning). So, I told her from the beginning that I couldn't have gluten. It was just like,uh huh, okay...she didn't seem too concerned. Now, I'm a server, and have been for many years, like since this young lady was in diapers probably. I understand how important it is to be vigilant about allergies as a server AND as someone who has an allergy. And yes, my allergy is real, I'm not doing it for a trend (who in their right mind would willfully pass up Outback's bread??!!). Allergies are no joke. My ahi-tuna app came out as ordered (no sauces). But, for dinner, I ordered the filet (Medium, flame-grilled no seasoning) and lobster tail. My cousin next to me also ordered the filet and LT (Medium rare, seasoned). I got her steak and she got mine when the plates came out (we had different side dishes). So, I took two big ol' bites of her steak, and she took a bite of mine. She thought hers was just overcooked (because it was actually medium well, almost well). And after the second bite, I was like...this is seasoned. So we quickly figured out ours were switched and switched them. I told the server, and she was just like, Sorry about that. So, now, I'm here at home with horrible stomach pains, and had to eat an overcooked steak (I ordered med and it was almost well). Why didn't I say anything? Well...my grandpa is so proud to take us all out to Outback every Christmas. I did not want to make a big deal out of it. Although it is for me, because now I'm having stomach pains. Just sick of restaurants and servers not taking allergies very seriously. The dinners get plated by the cooks, so the cooks put the wrong steaks on the plates. The expo (which is actually usually a manager) preps the plates to go to the tables, so the expo also missed the mix up. And the server looks at the ticket to serve the food, so the server also missed it. So, that's at least 3 people who could have saved me the next few days of pain I will be in by simply reading a check and double checking the accuracy. It's very upsetting. I give it 2 stars because I love my family very much and the company was wonderful. Not that the food was bad, but that is just unacceptable, and the way the server was just like, oh, sorry about that. Not as sorry as me. :( read more

Dining here now, hubby had the 6 oz filet w mushroom sauce, salad and broccoli. Said was very good and tender. It should be for $24. I ordered the Sesame salad w added grilled chicken. Because of allergy to sesame, I requested no sesame seeds and no sesame dressing, opting for ranch on the side. My salad is advertised as mixed greens w bell pepper and cilantro and slivered almonds. My salad was good, grilled chicken was fine, decent amount of chicken but I was appalled that when salad was served there were 2, TWO pieces about 2 inches long of red bell pepper, and 2 sprigs of cilantro. That's it. The rest of the salad minus a few dark green pieces of green lettuce is bagged salad mix, little bits of carrots, bits of purple cabbage and iceberg lettuce. The majority of the salad is iceberg lettuce. I.e. not worth $13.00 We continue to try and find a good salad somewhere but that appears to be impossible in Cincinnati. read more

We have been going to this Outback for 20 years, the bread was hard, the blooming onion was not breaded all the way and not hot. The frys were plenty but over done. The burger seemed smaller than the last time we ate there. the burger was well done the way I like it, but smaller.Our server was Great(Katelyn R) ,very ,very good server. We had a $25 gift card ,bill was 60.00, plus $5 coupon, still cost me $42.00. I don't send food back, it has to be super bad for us to do that. Although the restaurant was only 1/3 full we stood at the front for several minutes while 4 employees stood there having a running conversation. We finally interrupted their conversation and asked if anyone was going to seat us. They explained that there was an issue that they were dealing with . We then said that they could have at least acknowledge our presence ( we felt invisible). Finally one of the employees offered to seat us but stood there trying to figure out where to seat us although there was plenty of available seating. I usually really enjoy Outback Steakhouse for a low price good quality steak but this outback needs some serious help. The past 3 visits they have cooked my steak almost well done and I ordered it medium rare. This visit they were not extremely busy we only waited 7-10 minutes for a table but it took the kitchen over 45 minutes to over cook my steak and they left my wife's chicken Cobb salad in the window for so long the cheese had congealed. We sent the food back and it was supposedly re-cooked by the manager the steak came back and it was almost medium rare but it was closer to medium and the fried chicken salad was good for the most part except for the chicken had been reused and that is just disgusting. We will still go to outback just never this location again and that stinks because that means we will not go to outback very often as this location is only 5 minutes from our house and the other locations are 25+ minutes away.
