My parents and I stopped in on March 12, 2020, for lunch. The restaurant was not very busy as the threat of COVID-19 loomed in the air. We were seated at a booth in the bar area. The server was initially pleasant and represented the company in a professional manner. We each ordered the same thing - three 6oz center-cut sirloins, medium-well, chicken tortilla soup, mashed potatoes, and beverages. The drinks and soup arrived and was good. After a barely acceptable time of 25-30 minutes the entrees arrived, and the food runner was gone. As we cut into the meat, all three steaks were cooked at medium-rare to medium temperature. My dad's was full of gristle and mine appeared similar. We began to look around for the waitress but didn't see her anywhere. Several employees were congregated around a corner booth across the restaurant and a few were seated in the booth. The bartender had also sat down at a booth with another employee and appeared to be eating her lunch. We began to eat the mashed potatoes until we finally saw our waitress emerge from the corner booth. She walked over and said in a short, rude tone, "what's wrong with 'em?" We politely asked if the steaks could be cooked a little longer and reminded her that we ordered them as medium-well. She took all three plates back and my elderly mother kindly said: "thank you ma'am." The waitress hollered a short "you're welcome" across the bar area and before she turned the corner to enter the kitchen, she began to shake her head in a back/forth motion, as one would do to insinuate displeasure or frustration. I looked at my parents who did not see the waitress's gesture and asked if they wanted to go somewhere else. After I explained what I had witnessed, my mother mentioned that maybe she was just frustrated with the kitchen staff. We agreed that if the waitress or manager would return with a professional attitude then we would stay for the meal, especially given that my 72-year-old father is diabetic and needed to eat. Literally at least another 20 minutes passed, and the waitress finally came back over to the table and said it would be a few minutes longer as the kitchen was finishing up with our mashed potatoes. I asked her how much the soup and drinks cost and she shrugged her shoulders and made a facial expression that communicated to us that she didn't care about the soup/drinks, didn't know the cost, and didn't have any interest in ensuring our satisfaction as customers. After this display of unprofessional behavior, I instructed the waitress to cancel our order and that we would be leaving to go dine someplace else. She walked off and towards the kitchen as we got up and began to make an exit. As I slowly walked to the exit, I was expecting the manager to come out and talk to us, but as I reached the door, I overheard the waitress yell "they're walking out now, just cancel their order!" As a manager myself, I found the waitress's behavior and attitude at this location to be completely unacceptable and rare within the Bloomin' Brands Corporation. My parents and my wife and I are all reward members to the Bloomin' Brands restaurants and aside from this experience have had nothing but excellent service and food from the restaurants. We will not let this one bad experience (waitress) sway us from dining at our other favorite locations - we will just refrain from returning to this Outback location in Conyers. read more

Stopped at this location going back home from being in Atlanta for an event. Myself and my mom only ordered wedge salads and my husband ordered a steak and we got our salads and after almost 45 min he still had not received his food. The waitress was nice and kept apologizing but we at this point told her to just put it to go. Manager def needs to better organize his kitchen staff to expedite food better as it was not even busy in there. read more

My family dined at the Conyers, GA location of Outback Steakhouse on 02/05/2023. Customer service is almost non-existent. It ltook 15 minutes to order drinks (water) and another 30 minutes to place our order. Then, we had to ask for our silverware and she only brought 4/5 sets that we needed. We were sick and tired of this covid crap and being treated like prisoners by our President and Governor !!! Sooo we said lets have a date night and cruise over to Outback since we just received a friendly email offering 10% off to me for being Military... So we said heck yeah and rode over and as soon as we drove up to the parking spot a beautiful young lady came out and took our order and she was very professional... My girl and I both ordered our usual a Filet, Baked Potato and Caesar Salad and bread... We waited our usual time and out it came... We sat in our truck and ate since it was date night lol... OMG the Steak was out of this world the seasoning was PERFECT !!! I ordered it Med and it came out exactly Med... Potatoes were perfect also... Couldn't have asked for better... This is the best spot in Conyers for a great meal and great drinks. This particular Outback has set the bar so high that I don't even too much visit other restaurants, including other Outbacks. The customer service is SUPERB; from the hosts, servers, bartenders, cooks, to the managers. Right now, my favorite is the Toowoomba Salmon and Shrimp! So sad. This used to be one of the absolute best steaks and one of the better restaurants in the area. No longer. I am sure with Covid and all of the staffing problems that have been happening, they are trying. Went on a Tuesday evening with another couple - they and I ordered filets medium rare. The steaks were overcooked and we sent them back. It took 10-15 minutes to have them returned - the manager brought them. We could see these were cooked even more. Because of this and the time lapse, we sadly said no thank you. The manager seemed hostile about this and in no way apologetic. As she walked away, I asked our kind, overworked waitress "Was THAT the manager?" I am amazed that someone so lacking in customer service can be in this position in such a well established chain. Just ordered some wings from this location which I've done for years. Let me start off by saying that they've changed the wing count..They no longer have the 10 piece wings. It's now only 8 pieces for the same price as the 10 piece used to be which is $12.83. Well my wings came out with feathers all over them so I sent them back to get a fresh batch. I waited for an additional 20 mins after waiting for 20 for my first order of wings. The second set came out all wrong. I asked for a refund. I spoke with the manager she was nice and asked me if I wanted another batch and I told her no thanks I would just prefer to get a refund. I wish that I would have taken pictures of both sets of wings but I was in a hurry for an appointment. I don't frequent this location often. I usually get amazing service at the Covington location so I thought I would try the Conyers location. Our servers name was Tuqwanna. Everything started out great. She asked us what we wanted to drink. We ordered the $5.99 Margaritas. When she bought us the drinks, she seemed confused because they came in shakers and 2 different flavors. She poured our drinks and left. 10 minutes later, she came back and said, I'm sorry I gave you the wrong drinks. She said I need the drinks back or I will have to charge you. Really!? You messed up the order and you took our drinks back?! Then after that we waited another 20 minutes for our appetizer. Finally got that. Then we waited another 30 minutes for our dinner. My husbands shrimp were cold, and so were my Brussel sprouts. I waited another 10 minutes for bread, never came. But the new customers beside us immediately got bread. The entire experience was horrible, and I will never return to the Conyers location again! Taking the drinks back was so petty and unprofessional. read more

We had an outstanding visit with this Outback Steakhouse! We arrived as they were opening. The staff was well prepared and we were seated quickly. My wife and I ordered the unlimited soup and salad and the steak quesadilla combo and we couldn't have been more happy. We chose the baked potato soup and the chopped salad. The soup was very well seasoned! The salad is what you want from a salad, refreshing, well dressed, and filling. Even more impressive than the food was our server, Latoya. Every restaurant needs a server like Latoya! She was friendly, quick, and accommodating. She offered refills regularly, handled a miscalculation on our bill, and even offered to give us refills to go. I'm really upset with this Outback. For the second time in 3 weeks they got my order wrong by leaving things out that come with my meal. They did again tonight. I sent my husband to go pick up our to go order and my entree is missing the mushroom and shrimp sauce that comes with the tilapia. It ruined our dinner. If I was dining at the restaurant I'm sure they wouldn't forgot the sauce that comes with the fish. They literally have me a piece of dry grilled fish. I refused to eat it and will return it on my lunch break tomorrow. I wish they would get a more competent employee to run the "to go" orders. The worst steak I've ever had. The service was good...the waitress was attentive and nice...price is so so, but terrible with the tough ribeye I got. I ordered the steak medium and got it well, my wife ordered a sirloin well, and it came medium...guess the got them mixed up. So, here's the thing.... I know when I go to Outback, there isn't going to be a whole hell of a lot for me to eat, usually I end up with a baked sweet potato and a salad with extra croutons. My father loves the "Bloomin Onion" but generally I find it a greasy, salty mess. They do however have a rather awesome selection of beer. Whats memorable about this location is the genuinely funny waitstaff, I had an entire conversation about the benefits of California's medical marijuana laws with my waiter one evening. Is it sad that after that he never forgot me or my family and has always provided us with pretty solid customer service after that? We planned a surprise party for a friend. This was the only restaurant who would accommodate us. The manager, Channing was so friendly and so helpful. The servers were amazing! Our food was delicious. It took a little longer as we had over 25 people but we had appetizers and bread. I cannot say enough good things about this experience. We will visit more often. Nice and crispy decent size, flavor was average but with the slaw together it was a great bite. Salad was cold, crisp, fresh. Bread was hot and butter soft enough to spread without tearing the bread. Empty plates removed promptly and waitress was attentive. Steak was hot and bursting with flavor, asked for medium and got medium well. Baked potato was piping hot. Ordered online and received notice my order would be ready between 5:33-5:38 pm. Drove up from Covington and purposely arrived five minutes after latest time to ensure order would be ready. Order brought to car at 6:10. While waiting observed chaos from a young man obviously doing his very best but in way over his head, I even mentioned to my passenger that the server seemed flustered. Saw them (he and a female who joined him) bring the wrong orders to the wrong vehicles, walk past vehicles without checking with the drivers and actually having one customer sending an order back because it wasn't theirs. To top it off the Server got my name then forgot it (came back after 15/20 minutes and asked if I was someone else) then allowed my food to sit for who knows how long because he didn't look at the full name on the ticket. I made the mistake of giving him my last name instead of first (the first name was largest on the ticket although it contained my full name). He tried so hard until I gave him a 15% tip anyway. I had paid for the meal online but prefer to wait until arrival to give a cash tip (based on service). The entire Take Out organization seemed "disorganized". Had a 5 star experience here at Outback! My family and I came for dinner tonight and although they were packed still had an awesome experience from our waitress Leanne. I ordered crab cakes and they weren't the best they immediately took it back and allowed me place another order. The manager, Cassandra came out to apologize and let me know she would comp my crab cakes and new meal order. Tonight I just wanted to cheat on my diet a little bit with some good food and it turned out to be absolute Trash!!! My brother and I sat down to order. Server, Brandi P., was very nice and accommodating. However, my brother's steak came out so overcooked he couldn't even saw it with the knife as she stood and watched. My Alice Springs Chicken came out half the size it normally is. Called the manager. They fixed my brother's steak and explained that sometimes the chicken comes split and cut butterfly. Sometimes it comes as a lobe but he claimed it was the same size. No it wasn't but whatever. They'd already cut the number of wings claiming they do them by weight now which could result in you only getting 4-5 wings. So I had already stopped eating there for a long time, especially after getting food poisoning some years back. Anyway, I sent my Brussel sprouts back because they were flavorful but hard. The server explained it was their first day with new appliances. They were probably figuring things out. So I ordered asparagus instead. It came out very good and flavorful until I spotted a hair. Not just one hair but 3 - 4 small curls of hair! Called the manager again. He takes the food off but had the nerve to still charge for the drink which should've been complimentary with all the issues. Plus it took forever to get our food. To add insult to injury before we could even leave a small roach crawls across the table. At that point I was done and ready to get as far away from this restaurant as possible. They really need new management, a deep cleaning, and probably new cooks and workers. I've given this location one too many times. I'll never eat here again! read more
