My husband and I drove from loganville we had something to do in Conyers stopped in here and were completely discriminated against from the very beginning because we are white I can't believe it we had been in before and we're not treated this way. walked up to the hostess station there was an African American young lady and another young lady non-caucasian. Ask for name and said that there would be a wait so I said okay but then looked around the place was not busy at all there were 15-20 empty seats in the entire restaurant. So we sit down and wait at their little waiting area and we wait for 20-25 minutes and I'm watching and they just let us sit there and so we just kept waiting. the people that were sitting next to us in the waiting area actually heard the hostess say our name she did not even say the name where we could even hear her and did not even bother to try she knew who we were she was the only one she was the one that took our name. Anyway then she takes us to a seat Booth open Booth right beside the bar. We sit down and no one even acknowledges us after that so we sit there we keep waiting and waiting and finally I told my husband I said you know I said we need to go this place is racist and we're being discriminated against. This is only my second experience with this chain restaurant so I don't have a favorite dish. My choice was between the salmon or the barrier seafood meal , consisting of lobster tails, shrimp from the grill and lump crab cakes. I chose the latter. While my main course was delicious and well seasoned, my sides (mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus) were both dry and lacked seasoning all together. I know that my asparagus was grill, but I didn't expect to receive charred, let's be honest burnt and dry stalks. The mashed potatoes were like drying cement. I was bought a new plate of mashed that looked better but didn't taste better so I took it as a loss. I also wasn't a fan of the two apps I tried. The macaroni bites were dry, and they weren't very tasty. While the volcano shrimp were tasty, they were also fried a little too long. My cocktail was really good and I like that it was only $7, but had a good amount of alcohol in it. Had the service been a little better at the bar I would have opted for another. My waiter was friendly and expedient, but the kitchen was slow. I don't think I'll return to this location, but if you go I suggest the lobster tails and crab cakes. read more

Tonight I just wanted to cheat on my diet a little bit with some good food and it turned out to be absolute Trash!!! My brother and I sat down to order. Server, Brandi P., was very nice and accommodating. However, my brother's steak came out so overcooked he couldn't even saw it with the knife as she stood and watched. My Alice Springs Chicken came out half the size it normally is. Called the manager. They fixed my brother's steak and explained that sometimes the chicken comes split and cut butterfly. Sometimes it comes as a lobe but he claimed it was the same size. No it wasn't but whatever. They'd already cut the number of wings claiming they do them by weight now which could result in you only getting 4-5 wings. So I had already stopped eating there for a long time, especially after getting food poisoning some years back. Anyway, I sent my Brussel sprouts back because they were flavorful but hard. The server explained it was their first day with new appliances. They were probably figuring things out. So I ordered asparagus instead. It came out very good and flavorful until I spotted a hair. Not just one hair but 3 - 4 small curls of hair! Called the manager again. He takes the food off but had the nerve to still charge for the drink which should've been complimentary with all the issues. Plus it took forever to get our food. To add insult to injury before we could even leave a small roach crawls across the table. At that point I was done and ready to get as far away from this restaurant as possible. They really need new management, a deep cleaning, and probably new cooks and workers. I've given this location one too many times. I'll never eat here again! read more

The food here is extremely inconsistent. My husband and I have dined here for several years and we never know what we are going to get. Tonight we ordered our usual pasta and wings; neither of the items were prepared with attention to detail. It's Outback Steakhouse, so of course the food is great. The service is decent as far as getting food to the table in a reasonable amount of time. My ribeye steak was seasoned just right, but again it's Outback, so the food is going to be great. What makes this place, better than most is that the staff and servers are exceptional. Our waiter was John, who was filling double shoes as a waiter, as well as tending the bar. Very personable and professional. I had what I considered to be a very minor issue, so I got to meet the manager, Rachel, that was on duty there that day. Rachel and for that matter, John, went over and beyond to accomodate me and remedy my minor issue. Hats off to Outback corporation for having two such great employees at this location. read more

Our wait staff went our of her way to ensure that our bread was fresh, beverages replenished and food to our satisfaction. My husband had the filet mignon. He is very picky about his steak. Wife and I stopped here on the way home from Atlanta to Augusta for lunch. Was told we had a 15 min wait but we decided to sit at the bar. Bar tender seem to be very busy when finally she came to give us menus and drink order after about 10 min. After we got two drafts we ordered our food. Sitting there I noticed every liquor bottle in the bar had no tops or pour spouts. The bottles were exposed with nothing on them. First thing I thought of was fruit flies. Above the bar there was a tile missing exposing the ceiling. Apparently the place was under renovation. Usually I'm don't complain but when there seems to be a health problem and I couldn't hold back. I told my wife let's eat first then I will tell the manager. Well my wife steak was cold and ask if they could heat it up . The assistant manager came to apologize for the cold steak and that's when I informed her about the liquor bottles being exposed to open air. She informed me that taking care of my wife's steak was more important. Before we left she did put spouts on all the bottles. My wife also said the women's bathroom was very filthy and the toilets had no stalls and were exposed. When she went back the women's bathroom it was locked so she used the men's . Sign on door said either bathroom can be used by anyone. Women's bathroom was filthier than men's. We eat at Outback in Augusta a lot and it's one of our favorite restaurants but this Outback is terrible. We won't be back. read more

Here is my experience with this restaurant. I was about to check out of the nearby hotel and wanted to get a meal for the road, so I placed a to-go order about 30 minutes in advance. I was told my order would be ready in 25 minutes, and I was there on time to pick it up at the curbside pickup. I waited in my car for about 8 minutes for someone to come out, then went inside, where I had to actually go to the other side of the restaurant to find somebody to help me. When I told the girl I was there to pick up my order, she looked on the machine and said it had not even been made yet, that she was sorry but the person who ran the take out area was late to work. Obviously, I left without my meal. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if someone working the take out area is late, maybe someone from another part of the restaurant should check and see if an order had been placed every once in awhile. In what universe can an entire area of a business just cease to function because an employee calls in or isn't there? This is the third bad experience I have had in a ROW with Outback, and I will never be going back. read more

At our table of 6 our waitress was pleasant and very efficient, refilling drinks without asking, etc. Blooming Onion along with 5 of our steak, shrimp and chicken meals were tasty, would have given a 4-star. The sixth meal was the lobster. One was okay, the other had a bad, dead ocean smell, inedible. Manager did comp the second lobster but this should have never made it to anyone's table. Very disappointed with my restaurant experience today. I was only offered 1 refill for my sweet tea during the 45 mins we were eating and the steak was over salted when I asked for light on the salt. The worst was the raw mash potatoes mixed in. The were not editable. My date and I were almost finished with the rest of the meal before we saw a staffer to complain, and we didn't want to wait for a replacement. Not to mention, if you could mix up raw potatoes with the cooked ones, there's no telling what else you could mess up in the kitchen. I rated this place a 2 only because the take out staff is extremely friendly. Now on to the food. I would say I order here on a regular basis because of convenience some days are better than others but tonite was horrendous. The food quality was just ok but I ordered lamb chops with a potato...the cut of the chops were at best subpar. Lamb chops are to be double cut, I got my order and they had 2 bones but the meat was cut at a angle so that the meat part was single cut. I understand cut backs and trying to increase ur profit margin but at the expense of putting out a very poor product is very unacceptable. I will rethink ordering from here on takeout for the simple reason...serving sizes are very poorly made. And bake potato overdone.....unless they improve significantly their servings, I cannot in good conscience recommend ordering takeout from this establishment. read more

The all you can eat shrimp special, had shrimp so small and tasteless that I'm pretty sure that they came from a salad shrimp bag at the supermarket. The Scampi was tasteless no flavor at all swimming in some sort of oil concoction. The fried shrimp was worse, it was these tiny shrimp coated with a very thick batter. It tasted like battered grease, no shrimp taste! The sirloin, which is always inconsistent, was in an upswing and was very tender and flavorful. Hanging out with family -for some of us this was our first visit to the Conyers Outback- our server was on point; most of our entrees were good; however, the smashed - mashed potatoes had 'way too many' peelings and very few actual potatoes & the steamed veggies could not be cut with a knife and fork. Overall, we were not impressed--even the family members who visit this location regularly were disappointed with their steaks (steaks, including porterhouse steaks, were overooked) were a little disappointed. We used to visit Outback quite often but haven't eaten there for about 10 years. Lately, I had been craving a Bloomin' Onion. The greeter was VERY friendly & welcoming, our server was attentive and professional. We were even given a complementary Bloomin' Onion, which was delicious. We were beginning to wonder why we hadn't patronized this restaurant for so long. Then our food arrived. Tough french fries with no flavor and tacos that were just plain awful.
