We came here for lunch to celebrate a special occasion. The waitress was really nice and accommodated our request to change from a booth to a table. The food wasn't the best, but it was pretty decent. The steak was juicy and had lots of flavor to them. However, one down side of it was that there were too many fatty parts of the steak that was muscles and tissues. Too much fat that it was chewy and couldn't swallow. The sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes were really delicious. It was creamy and buttery. The sweet potatoes came with cinnamon and butter, which gave it a nice sweet taste. We took the leftover fatty parts of the steak home to feed a sick coyote so they were probably really happy that they got to eat since they haven't eaten most likely for a while. read more

We didn't even stay long enough to take pictures, which says a lot. We came in hoping to enjoy a nice lunch with my mother-in-law. We were greeted warmly, and at first everything seemed to be going well. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill once the food arrived. We ordered a steak sandwich, but when it came out, the entire plate was cold. My husband had specifically requested his meat to be well done, yet it arrived medium rare, with juices soaking into the bread. The sandwich itself looked more like a Philly cheesesteak than what we expected from the menu description. I took one bite and that was enough. It was not good. Came here for my birthday celebration! I love coming here as it's not to expensive for their prime rib and I love their mash potato. I almost always have a little bit of leftover, definitely doesn't taste as good when reheated lol My mom doesn't eat beef and so she got the lobster plate which she really enjoyed, it tasted really fresh. It's my first time at an Outback because my friend really wanted the blooming Onion. There was a promo for that last month so we stopped by. The place wasn't really packed and we got a table pretty quick. We got the blooming Onion and I did the 9 oz steak with the side of coconut shrimp and sweet potatoes. The blooming Onion was pretty, however, it was too salty. I didn't like the drip it came in, I found it w little spicy, I think I was looking for a dip that would balance out the salty onion. It was perfectly fried but I wished it was less salty. The steak was decent, and juicy. I'm glad it want dry. And I liked how my sides came out pretty delicious as well. The coconut shrimp paired well with the sauce which felt more like an apple sauce. The baked sweet potato was good but next time I'll ask for less butter , and the rice was just fine, no issues there. We also got the butter cake , which to my disappointment wasn't warm. I wished they told me before we ordered. The cake was more of a pound cake with a side of ice cream. I would not get this again. I might come back here if I feel like there's something I would try. Recently had dinner at the Daly City location, ordered a medium cooked 12 oz Prime Rib and instead, received a bland well done meat. While some parts were cooked medium, didn't realized the rest was well done until I ate nearly half of the prime rib and no point in asking for a new one as I wasn't only full but didn't want to bring any leftovers home. Overall, those cooking the steak should learn how to put some seasoning to give some flavor before cooking and a thermometer if their don't know the difference between cooking a medium and well done steak/prime rib. read more

Our server was attentive and kind. Food Bloomin' Onion: Delicious! Although, the batter did fall off the onion pretty easily. Prime Rib: Tasty and a good portion size. It comes with two sides -- I highly recommend the sweet potato. The sugar and cream on it is like crack; I couldn't stop eating it LOL. I also enjoyed the house salad with honey mustard. Everyone in our group ordered the prime rib, and we all agreed it was solid. The only reason I wouldn't give it a full 5 stars is that my partner ordered medium rare and I ordered medium, but both cuts looked exactly the same in terms of doneness. So I ordered and When I got the steak with fries they were stiff and the fries were also cold it was like chipping wood to get a decent bite of the fries. Bad flavor little soggy and I also tried their browny which had hair in it and it Was kinda disappointing and not even good to eat. Came in at 5:28pm & was quoted a 20/25 minute wait time and we got seated at 5:55pm. Bread was brought out immediately and shortly after our waitress came to greet us. I believe her name was Tara ( we forgot to ask her name but asked a gentleman at the front host desk and he said that should be her name ) . She was a little busy but always made time to come check on us with a smile which we appreciated a lot. We both ordered the same thing with different sides but the medium steak came out to perfection, compliments to the cook! I ordered pickup last week, the Alice Springs Chicken and a Wedge Salad. Chicken piece was small but tasty. The Wedge Salad was extremely disappointing. There was not one piece of bacon to be found and just a few miniscule Bleu cheese crumbles. See picture attached. Two friends and I had lunch at the Outback last week. I had a $50 gift card to go toward our meals. One friend and I ordered the luncheon special burger. It did not come with cheese. We both asked for the burgers to be medium/well. They both came very rare! I asked for no onions, mine came with chopped onions on a very soggy bun! My other friend asked for broccoli with her entree. The broccoli was so unappetizing that she asked for the manager. He offered to replace the vegetable but we were ready to leave the restaurant at that time. We ate lunch at noon and the service was very slow and basically non existent. The waiter never came by to check on us or ask if he could be of service. The bill came to $56.00. Sadly, the three of us decided that we would never eat there again! I looked at the online menu online and decided it was a time to check out their non-beef offerings. Why did we wait for so long? As these locations are few and far between, we decided to visit Daly City. We happened to be in the City for a museum visit so we needed a late lunch. Like other Outback locations, the restaurant looks like a rustic log cabin, decorated with maps of Australia and photos of Australian animals like kangaroos and emus. Our server Orion was charming and welcoming and happy to share his recommendations for chicken and seafood. My daughter opted for the special shrimp and scallop past while I went for the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies. We were both blown away. Our food was delicious, definitely better than a similar American chain. We shared a New York cheesecake as our dessert and didn't need to eat dinner later that evening.
