My family hosted a big anniversary party for my parents and the staff did amazing to run everything smoothly. They were very efficient. We had a group of 56 people and we had most of the dining room upstairs. The waiters took everyone's order very fast but it was all a set menu. We had the select cut along with salad, mashed potatoes, creamed corn and spinach, and their famous popovers. Everything tasted so good! I love their spicy horseradish and creamy horseradish too. We made a reservation for four at 5:30pm. When we arrived there were only a couple tables occupied. It was early in a Thursday night. The food was good. I did enjoy my prime rib. I liked how they gave you the light sauce and the horseradish on the side. It lets you add as little or as much as you like. I have to say I did enjoy my sister's dry aged steak a bit better. The service is very good but sadly the meat lacked flavor. It was juicy but just didn't have that rich flavor you expect at these prices. I've been coming here for holiday parties for years, and I've always considered Broadway Prime a solid rival to House of Prime Rib in San Francisco. This will be my last visit. Had dinner on 8/23/2026. Place opens at 5pm. My group and I were there first. We sat at the bar briefly then was brought to our table which they placed us way in the back in a tight squeeze. Mind you we were the first table there. We asked to move and they did that just fine. Why would they squeeze us in an area that was tight when we were the first group there of six. Plenty open tables. Number two complaint, the water taste like old pipes. Number three complaint we kept having to ask for more horseradish. They give you a tiny tablespoon of it each time. and we were a party of six people. Number four, I asked for Medium prime rib and got well done. Plus it was tough, so the quality seemed a bit low and flavor was lacking big time. Number Five we had to ask for yorkshire pudding. The last time I was there they never even gave it to me and I forgot about it until I left. The last time my husband was there, it was an overall hot mess as well. Pushing them in a tight squeeze and making them wait so long for their dinner. Will be my very last visit to this place. Bread sucked. We have great bread here. Why buy crap bread. Made reservations here to celebrate a birthday on a Saturday and they had plenty of spots available! Just note you do need to call in to do so. When I say that you will leave stuffed, trust me. They start you off with some of the warmest, fresh bread with butter (we also requested refills). Next up, a pretty big serving of a refreshing salad. My husband and I decided to dine here for Valentine's Day weekend and although we didn't have any reservations, they were able to seat us within 10 minutes. The food is always solid. The salad is fresh and delicious. I love their garlic mash potatoes and creamed spinach. My family usually get the baked potato with the works. We also always get the prime rib in the largest size, English style so it's already cut up for us. We also ask for a side of horseradish to accompany the meal. It also seems like the servers are more favorable and friendly to people that they know or see often. The menu doesn't have the size of the cut so you don't know how much meat you are getting. The quality of the prime rib was mehhhh. Not at all tender. I had to spot out a few pieces because it just wouldn't break down enough for me to swallow after chewing for quite some time. My SIL brought a cake and they refrigerated it for us and served it at the end. 2 of girls shared a children's cut and my eldest had her own children's cut. Worth it for my eldest but not so much for my other 2. They weren't very interested in the prime rib but they did enjoy the mashed potatoes. I had the select cut with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. It was good and I still had some to bring home. I'm not a big fan of creamed spinach on a normal day but it was delicious here. Mashed potatoes are a family favorite and can never have too much of it. The beet salad was good. A bit heavy on the dressing but still finished my plate. Everyone enjoyed themselves. We just left this place and I'm honestly very disappointed. My wife ordered the prime rib English cut, and I ordered the same. I clearly remember asking for English cut, but when my plate came out, it wasn't. I asked if they could fix it, and they told me they couldn't because it was already cut and served. This would never have happened at House of Prime Rib, and I'm surprised they didn't try harder to take care of the customer. The Broadway Cut came with the meat cut CLEANLY off the bone, I felt a level of detail went into this. It's been 12 years since my last visit and I was surprised that this restaurant doesn't feel as nice as before. It's dated, the bathrooms are not clean, and just this experience all around wasn't as nice as before. The food is still good, but the restaurant should really do better. The floors are filthy and given it's holiday season, it would have been nice to dress up the dining room a little bit to make it feel cozy. We made reservations for a big group to celebrate a friend's birthday and Broadway Prime was able to accommodate us. We were seated very quickly and the server brought out bread soon after. He was very attentive and patient with our large party. The prime rib on the other hand is a different story. I asked for medium well for my cut but as you might see, I did not receive medium well. My friends that ordered medium rare ended up more like rare. The cuts were extremely chewy for most of us and took us forever to eat. The salad was pretty good because we were starving waiting for the food. I do understand that the restaurant was busy and we had a large party but it took 45 minutes for the salad come out and we were trying not to snack too much on the bread soon we can enjoy the prime rib. read more

This is a dup of House of Prime Rib, and honestly they shouldn't be charging the same price as House of Prime Rib - from the bread, to the sides, to the baked potatoes, to the horseradish and the quality of the meat, ALL BELOW AVERAGE AND FAR BELOW HOUSE OF PRIME RIB! Ok, let's start with the bread, it wasn't warm when brought to the table. I ordered baked potato with sour cream and chives (please refer to the photo) it's quite embarrassing, you can count how many pieces of chives that was sprinkled on. Yes, I requested more chives. Only one option of horseradish instead of 3 compared to the HPR. Ok now the meat, we ordered the largest cut, but it definitely looks more like a medium size at HPR, and it is definitely not USDA Prime, more like USDA choice. And if you refer to the photo, I ordered medium rare, it looked like they took the rare piece of meat and microwaved it because the color looked odd. Oh and you don't need a reservation here even on Mother's Day All around it was a poor experience even for a normal Prime Rib dinner without a comparison to House of Prime Rib. This came out to be $87 per person without drinks or dessert plus tax and tip. Any other places would have been better!!! If you can't get a reservation at House of Prime Rib, this should not be an alternative. Go to Harris instead, they are amazing and not that hard in reservations. Broadway Prime can hit the spot if you're looking for a prime rib fix! It's no HOPR, but it can do the job if you're not too picky. Prime Rib - They have three different cuts. I usually get the Peninsula Cut which is the smallest, and it's already a good portion size! Broadway Cut is the largest and is usually bone-in. Salad - They don't toss it in front of you like HOPR and I wish the greens were more chilled, but still solid. Potatoes - I always opt for the traditional mashed potatoes and they were solid! I tried my husband's garlic mashed potatoes and they were good too. It doesn't come with gravy though FYI. The baked potato was average - the waiter didn't ask about toppings so be sure to specify what you want on it when ordering. Vegetables - Get the half and half! English Popovers - These came piping hot! I usually don't love them, but appreciate how they made them fresh. read more
