As I know mistakes happen, but it is known that when u are doing Uber orders to double check the bag to make sure the full order is in it . I was at the outback steakhouse on Bell Road and I ordered the steak that was on sale. Are you understood that it was a nine dollar upgrade for the larger steak no problem my potato soup was warm was not hot. I ordered my medium rare and I got it well done. I told the waitress that I did not want another one made my wife was already sitting there, eating hers and I didn't want to have to have her watching me eat also to me that is very wrong. I asked the manager waited 20 minutes. Finally I stopped him myself. I explained the situation to him and I told him I did not want the meal and he said I'll get it for you at no cost I said that'll be fine. After being seated, we had to wait 20 minutes before we got greeted. Our server mumbled half the time he spoke to us, didn't even hear his name. The guy didn't seem at all interested in doing his job. took 10 minutes just to get a drink order, and to add to that, I ordered a drink from the bar and it took him another 10 minutes to bring it out to the table just for it to not taste how it's supposed to taste. I said I did not like it after taking one sip and to replace it with another alcoholic drink, and he said that he was still going to charge me for both because that's what the manager told him. My wife and I went in yesterday , Monday night around 6pm. The hostess told us there are no seats available and said that there was a short wait 10-15 min. My family and I decided to try outback steakhouse take out. We ordered two Wednesday steak specials and below is a picture of the size of the steak. Now I realize this was a special and to say the least it was quite special. I've never been so disappointed in my life. The steak itself was cooked as I wanted it but when it arrives within 5 minutes of being picked up the steak was ice cold. Needless to say I had to microwave it to warm it which then made it well done. As you can see by the picture it was no bigger than my fork. I was able to cut the steak into 3 pieces and that was all I got. We had ordered 2 of these dinners and the second dinner was equally as small. The chicken fingers that my daughter ordered by far provided more food. I was glad I had ordered a side salad and baked potato. The blossom onion was tasty but soggy and cold. Not to mention that the sauce on the side got all over everything in the bag because the top of the container had popped off. We have eaten at this location before and have been very satisfied. Needless to say I will not be ordering take out ever again from this restaurant. Nor will I be ordering the Wednesday night special. The girl that greeted us was delightful! Our waitress was great as well. They are offing a Yelp check-in special that was advertised not a tent flyer on the table. I checked-in, presented it to our waitress, she was unaware of it or how to handle it, but she went and asked and was able to take care of it right away. The absolute best service I have gotten at a restuarant in years! Our waiter was so welcoming, knowledgeable, attentive and detail orientated. I watched him kneel down in front of each table during the night to give each customer such detailed information and suggestions on their options while making us all feel so at home and welcome. He did not seem rushed or stressed at all! Had our refills on the table before we were 1/2 way done with the first ones. I planned on just getting a tiny steak for dinner but after listening to his very authentic opinions on the bigger steaks I ended up ordering the prime rib roasted style and the best I have ever tasted next to my moms famous primerib from the cattle we raise on our ranch. Server was training someone. Both lacked genuine warmness and did not check in very often. The bartender was spot on with help though. Been years since I've been to an outback but we won't be back. Chicken and shrimp was marginal at best. Chicken was bland where the sprinkle seasoning wasn't. Shrimp was freezer burnt and dry. Noodles were overcooked. Big steak special was also iffy. Steak was cooked correctly but seasoning was heavy and made things spicy. The "sautéed" mushrooms tasted boiled and lacked flavor. The free bread was dry. We didn't finish our food and the lack of service despite the fact that the dining room was only about 20% filled made it not worth the effort to ask for other food. UPDATE- The ownership has reached out and made sure they understand my specific issues and have pledged to take the feedback to their team during their team meetings. Surprise, Arizona is a nice place. Named appropriately and with that in mind, let me express my Surprise at how Outback continues to fail me. Yes, I know it is Outback that Australian based cuisine created by a New Yorker that is quite consistent when eaten, but it is the service that bugs the living...well you get the point. First off, they have those damn iPad menus, thus creating an even stronger customer experience as long as I want to pay an additional $1.99 for unlimited play for trivia games that actually had a Test Question asking what band John Paul George and Ringo were in. I instantly felt that my order taker (i.e. device) is now an additional source of profit. I don't understand why certain restaurants hire, then rehire the same vacuous, clueless un-attentive employees as much as the food that they serve. Yes, our server was pleasant and got the order right but there was little follow up until I had problems with payment method and with red light flashing (very pleasant choice) our server stood over me while iPad flashes brightly in front of both of us the suggested tip. Furthermore, we finally got our drinks. I noticed I had no spoon or straw to stir the iced tea sweetener. Hostess finally gets my attention after waiting for a server to be seen and I request silverware to which she tells me that it will be arriving with my meal. By this time with nothing to stir or sip, I am in the "Why doesn't she just go and get me what I requested instead of alerting me to Outback's policy on preventing steak knife thievery?" I was displeased, but not upset. It took a while, but I got my cutlery. Food was good. It's Outback. Once you hurdle over Avoidance Mountain, you are in the land where people speak funny and their toilets flush the other way down the bowl. Consistent food, inconsistent service. OK, it was Valentines Day but we thought we could get in after a reasonable wait. Someone had given us a gift card and we tried to use it. My wife went on Outback's website. She tried to contact the restaurant but was instructed to register on the site's wait list. It indicated the wait was 90 minutes at the closest restaurant so she added our name . The site said she would get a text 10 minutes. We arrived after about 80 minutes and received the disappointing news. The hostess asked for our name and was unable to find it. We told her what happened and she asked if we contacted the restaurant directly. When she learned we used the web site she informed us that it was not working and she can't see anything posted on it including names on wait list.. To make matters worse, if possible, she went on to tell us the wait time was probably between 90 minutes to 2 hours. Kaz is the best server I have honestly ever had. We went out last night to celebrate my moms birthday and the food was amazing but the service was better. Kaz quickly took our drink orders, quickly took our food orders, checked in continuously, and provided the best service I have experienced. I go to dining establishments frequently and have for years for work outings, family dinners, and personal dining and I can honestly say that I have never had a server as absolutely wonderful as Kaz. Favorite steakhouse. Their Walk about Wed steak special is a real value. Our server, Nicky, was fantastic, very friendly and attentive. Steak was cooked to perfection, baked potato fluffy and hot. My husband and I decided to entertain my son for dinner. Before we entered the business, I noticed the outside clean, doors clean, entrance clean. We were greeted by friendly smiles as we sat waiting for our table. Waiting for our waitress to get the order started, Kira S, came to the table with a nice Outback smile. She took the order and the drinks were perfect. We had ordered salads and Kira S informed us that there was no more Romain lettuce and if just plain lettuce would be okay for the Caesar salad, we thanked Kira S for letting us know and told her it would be fine. The Bone ribeye prefect, and Blooming Burger my son enjoyed, perfect, Caesar Salad, Prime Rib, with the bread that Kira S brought to the table was hot and delicious w/ butter.
