We went by to eat dinner. We waited until after the usual Saturday night rush and went in at 8:15. We were surprised to find about six groups waiting. We were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait. As I walked to the restroom , I counted 10 tables on the one side of the restaurant as well as three additional in the bar. We declined to join the waitlist on principle. There were no fewer than 5 hostesses at the front, yet table after table empty. This wasn't the first time this has happened here. If you have a 3.5 rating, maybe it's time to get a manager in the restaurant to improve the service. We won't be going back. Unfortunately it isn't good anymore. read more

I have been to outback before, but this was the best ever. I ordered sirloin and coconut shrimp which was delicious ( medium), the sweet potato was excellent and the dreamed broccoli was the best. The shrimp was fantastic and the sweet coconut dip sauces was great with just the right amount of spicy heat. Our waiter was Jordan , he was very on top of things and yet didn't make a pest of himself. He is very informative and took the time to answer any questions we may of had. Workers all wear their masks and you are required to wear yours until you are seated. Tables are sanitized as soon as they are emptied and all is made to be fresh again. Been a long time since we've been to an Outback and pretty sure we won't ever be back. Very much chain food. Service was basic and slow. Food was typical chain quality. They serve bread before you order which was dry. Husband ordered a burger that was supposed to have spicy pickles but it literally was a cucumber with no spice whatsoever. Salad lettuce was not fresh and salad was way over dressed. They charge a bit more for what they deliver compared to restaurants of much better quality. read more

Outback Steak House. Catching up on reviews I should have posted a while back. Outback is an old favorite of mine. A few months ago we visited Outback. On my past visits I have ordered the surf and turf. The steak and shrimp are always amazing and one of my favorites. Another favorite of mine is the salmon which is always excellent as well. The Steak at Outback is always tender, flavorful, and cooked perfection as is the shrimp. For dessert, we all had cake with coffee and it was refreshing and filling. No complaints, just a nice meal The servers are very attentive and alwsys make sure you have an enjoyable experience. What I appreciate most is the manager always comes by to esnure that you are happy with everything. Overall our dinning experience at Outback Steakhouse is always excellent. REVISED AND FINAL REVIEW OF ESTABLISHMENT AFTER 2ND VISIT, ON 3/1/24: Please use this as our ultimate guide on this restaurant: We returned with high hopes & expectations of great food and expedient courteous service. THOSE HOPES WERE DASHED THE INSTANT WE ASKED FOR SOMETHING TO DRINK! We had questions about the refill price on a non-alcoholic beverage: 10 minutes later we got the answer and later yet to get the drink. In the meantime , folks who were seated after us in adjoining tables not more than 6 feet from us in multiple directions were served their opening beverages, bread, and had their orders taken and brought to the kitchen to be prepared and fulfilled. My wife kept running notes on this fiasco from the moment we entered. By the time we got our initial drinks both essentially carbonated beverages. Those aforementioned adjoining guests not only had completed their appetizers and dirty dishes taken away but had been served their entrees and were being asked by wait staff if all was to their liking! THIS BEFORE WE GOT OUR SODAS OR APPETIZERS! At this point according to my wife's timekeeping we had been there over 43 minutes!! When FINALLY our food was brought to our table two of the aforementioned parties had finished, paid for their meals and tipped staff AND LONG SINCE DEPARTED! After 51 minutes had passed as I was getting up from the table to leave (oh how I wish I had taken the picture) my wife's entree was brought to the table and my French onion the cheese atop my soup was CHARRED!! THE ENTIRE CHEESY TOP WAS CHARRED DARK BROWN TO BLACK WITH THE OCCASIONAL PINHOLE OF WHITE! I DO NOT WOULD NOT AND DARE NOT MAKE THIS UP! Bottom lines: we stayed 20 minutes longer so my wife could eat the sandwich she ordered. She was famished! HOWSOMEVER: WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN OR MENTION ITS NAME EXCEPT IN USE AS AN EXPRESSION OF THE MOST ETERNALLY DAMNABLE CURSE WORDS, the type that get you sent you know where one way, no return. Some of their staff seem like nice people, but not nice enough to overcome on each of 2 separate visits: 46 miles driven & over 1hr 10 min drive time r/t; service that begs a new metaphor for slowly; no longer is it "with iceberg like speed " it is now "with fossil like speed"; orders "FUBAR" on every item in every way, no matter how trivial; the picture that will never leave my head "charcoal like cheese" atop my French onion soup crock. Have been going to Outback Steakhouse in Glendale Az on Bell Road off and on for several years. Tonight (Jan 19,2023) we ordered steak and ribs. Steak was ordered medium well. Came blackened (burnt). Asked waiter to send back he did it reluctantly. Ribs were ok but blackened on the ends. When we received the second steak it came not blackened but medium rare. Just took the steak home to recook. Disappointed...this is a steakhouse and the cook should know how to cook a steak or be trained how to cook a steak. Hopefully they will have another cook soon ....will give them another chance probably. Gave them a three because the broccoli and potato was good. Waiter was fair. Okay, almost worst experience EVER at an Outback. First, their limited menu is VERY limited. Many of our favorite items were not included on it. Not the location's fault. What IS the location's fault is that a) my food was not ready when it was promised b) they were slow to acknowledge me c) steak was way over done and cold d) soup was missing the bacon e) no silverware was included when I specifically asked for it. All of the food was extremely cold. So, so, SO disappointed. What a cruddy quarantine birthday it was for my kiddo, who only wanted his favorites from outback and got the shaft instead. We eat here about once or twice a month and it's always a 3 or 4 star experience. Consistency goes a long way with me, and that being said, there are some things that are consistent: - I've always been greeted immediately. Sometimes they even open the door for me, which is a nice touch. - I always have a friendly waiter or waitress. Seriously, you'd be shocked at how rare that can be. - The blooming onion is always the same, and very tasty. The things that aren't: - My go-to every time is a 9 oz center cut sirloin. Sometimes, it's delicious and cooked just right. And others...it's more rare than medium or there is a giant line of fat in the middle of the steak that renders most of it inedible. - what happened to the bread?? It used to be warm and with a slight crunch on the outside. These past 9 months, it feels like they took it out of the fridge 5 minutes ago. I've been coming here sporadically over the years and overall had good service. I think it's safe to say that with my most recent visit with my in-laws, coming here is now going to be a tradition for us as we have been coming here for dinner during their visit every year for awhile now. We've never had issues with our food thankfully. Sometimes the fries can be really salty like my recent visit but was still edible. I wish the Bloomin Onion wasn't always so salty either. It is still a favorite among my family. Service can range from mediocre to really good. If really good service was consistent, I would've rated higher. I like Outback, I really do, but this evening had the prime rib, the Outback way, as they call it. Terrible, very disapointing. The salty spices were so thick that even scraping at the surface as one would burned toast did not help, the salty spice permeated the meat full thickness. I ordered my meat medium rare, it was served very well done to that of hockey puck, and coated so thick with their recommended salty spice, the flavor of the meat was completely masked. Wow...that just happened. I can't rate the food because we never got that far. We walked in and were headed to the bar but were stopped by the door guard (hostess). We were told by said door guard that we would have to wait to which I replied, "but there is only 1 person sitting at the bar." Horrible experience. We have not been to Outback in over 8 years. Went there because I wanted steak and it was close by. My wife asked what the fish was and they said halibut. She ordered the sweet potato and they asked If she wanted the brown sugar and cinnamon on it. She said that she did not want it. She also ordered the clam chowder. When she got her meal the fish looked odd and she asked what it was and they said oh it's mahi-mahi. It was a white fish that did not even look close to the photo on the menu and it was definitely not halibut. It did not even look like mahi-mahi to me. Then she took a bite of her sweet potato and almost spit it out because it had brown sugar and cinnamon on it. Waiter came by and asked what was going on and she said well this isn't what I ordered. They brought her another sweet potato that had apparently been microwave and was so hot it burned her mouth. Then she took a bite of the clam chowder and it was so spicy with some type of pepper that had a after-burn that was horrible. When the waiter brought the check she asked for half off her meal as she could only eat half. He never apologized and just took the check back then came out and said I took 15 dollars off. Oh she also ordered the blooming onion which we never got. Now to my prime rib. It was the most bland flavorless piece of meat I ever had. I was so disappointed. I ordered a old fashioned that was supposed to be made with makers mark. Well it was the most watered down drink so much that I couldn't really tell it had any bourbon in it. I've eaten here several times over the last six months and the food is inconsistent! I paid a premium prize for the strawberry salad with pecans and I could count three crumbled up partial half of a pecan and the entire salad. The steak cheese dip was so salty we begin to sweat after three bites and not from the heat! A friend and I decided to go on the spur of the moment to this particular outback. There was a 40-minute wait so we decided to eat at the bar the place was really packed so we understood it was going to take some time however once we sat at the bar it took about 10 to 15 minutes just to get her are soft drinks as we don't drink then once our order was taken we had to ask for silverware the bartender was nice but he was really busy so I understand why he couldn't get to us right away the place is clean but not as clean as the ones up there in Scottsdale I had the ribs and my friend had the ribeye the ribs were good they were very tender however in the middle they were a bit dry for my taste overall the staff was nice but like I said they were very very busy once a business kind of slowed down they were still really busy so if you going to go to this particular out back you might have a little bit of a weight the food is good not but the service is a little slow and I understand because of the covid anyways that's all I have and will probably not go back to this particular one as the one in Scottsdale is closer to my location but overall I would recommend this place read more
