I tried to be patient and enjoy my dining out experience here but honestly, I have no plans to return. I put in a request for two people, bar or dining room. We waited 20 minutes for a table and were placed in a too tight spot in the center tables near the aisle. We felt like we had to suck it in every time someone walked by. We had children screaming in all directions. We were ignored for almost 20 minutes before being greeted by our server. I would've utilize the little machine that sits on the table, but the battery was dead and it didn't function. After placing our order it took a very long time for us to even get a cuppa soup. And bread wasn't delivered until we asked for it. Even when we were ready to pay, it took forever to pay for our meal and pretty much we felt invisible. What's more, we came in during busy dinner time and Ariel cleaned a table for us immediately after a group left so we could sit. I took my fiancé out on a date here and had a absolutely horrible experience for starters they sat us in a booth where people had just left and there was still tons of food and dishes on the table. Then after about 10 minutes of me bugging them they finally cleaned it just to turn around and serve us cold food. Also took them no exaggeration 15 minutes just for a refill of coke. I generally have a positive dining experience with Outback Steakhouse even though I do not frequent there. However, this was one of my worst experience at Outback. Our waitress was friendly. She was prompt and helpful. The complimentary bread and butter was oh-so-good! The appetizers of a fried bloomed onion and cheese fries were delicious. We all get our meals. The potato soup was orgasmic. In fact, I loved it so much that I was determined to make my own soup. I have been making my own for the past 5 years. It is always a treat! My meal was an 8-ounce sirloin. It was horribly bland! The worst part was that everyone else's meals (there were 4 of us) were just as disappointing. I think we simultaneously lost our appetites. THE most pathetic service I have experienced in a long time. Took 20 minutes to get drinks and over an hour to get food. Denny's makes a better steak that is cheaper! The food quality has fallen off big time. We watched 3 other parries get up and leave, and others waited too be seated just leave. Good food, needs more staff. When your order does get taken they were friendly and swamped, but a good attitude. Took quite awhile to get to order anything and a good time to get the food. I got the ribs my companion got the prime rib melt. The food was delicious when it finally got there and by then we were ravenous, and the beer was cold so... Probably go back some day. read more

I love to take my boss here. It's close to the office, and there are things on the menu we both like. The atmosphere is great. Service is good. Food is good, not great. But, the blue cheese wedge salad!!! Get it, eat it! It has a great blue cheese, and the perfect compliment of a sweet balsamic drizzle. I decided to take my husband on a date tonight since it is out 17 year wedding anniversary! Haven't been to Outback in forever. To start it was a 30 minute wait. We were fine with that. But while we were waiting outside we found a needle and spoon in there waiting area. 6:35. Sat by by 7. We didn't get water till about 7:15. Didn't get to order then cause he wasn't ready to take our order. Cool. We finally order. And wait. And wait. And wait. It's our anniversary dinner and we are watching tables of 4 and 5 come in order, eat and leave. Mind you we order freaking chicken stripsand alice spring chicken. Not a hard order. By 8:30 I'm just tired. Sick of watching other people eat and just want to go home. By 8:40 I just want to leave so he drops our check says nothing to us and our food boxed up and doesn't return. No Manager. No I'm sorry no nothing. So here I am at home boxed food, cold, on what should be a special evening feeling like I got robbed. This location sucks. No longer on my list of places I like. 50 dollars later and cold and the food is to peppery to eat anyways. Honey mustard chicken shouldn't make your mouth burn. If I could give zero stars, I would. I normally dine in here but this time I chose to order to go, my kids were all sick and I was as well, so I ordered and my mom picked it up for us. The woman on the phone, "Hannah", repeated my order back to me exactly so I didn't worry about anything being incorrect. My mom got the food to us in South Salem and every single item on the $60 worth of food was either made incorrectly or missing items or both. I called the restaurant to rectify this since my kids weren't going to eat well done quesadillas without the special honey mustard and the blooming onion was sent without bloom sauce and was only halfway battered. The "medium rare" steak was well done also and the salad I ordered had been slathered in blue cheese dressing which was supposed to be balsamic on the side by the order. I had also given my dine rewards number because this was a qualified visit and we go to outback often. The restaurant asked me to come back in to fix the order, so I took it all back to Keizer whilst hacking up half my lung along the way. Here was their fix: the female manager with glasses brought out some bloom sauce and special honey mustard (3 containers maybe 1/4 full each) and said they had fixed the Dine Rewards issue and that was all they could do. Basically I had to just stop elsewhere to pick up dinner my family would eat and dispute the charge on my card. Oh and the Dine Rewards never showed up. Rotten service and food. This is my third visit to the Keizer, OR location. I won't come back again. All three times, service was slow, and by slow I mean almost non-existent. A dinner salad took 37 minutes, during happy hour! No one ever came back to check on us. Ended up flagging down someone who appeared to be in management, she was able to locate our missing salads, then went to hunt down our chicken strips. She smelt of cigarettes so bad, I had to hold my breath when she spoke. Past two experiences were similar in service. To many other places to go for a drink and food, with better service. read more

Normally my experience has been good. I traveled here to meet family for lunch from Eugene. My wife and I ordered Chicken on the Barbie for 10.99. Chicken was way over seasoned. I also added a cup of soup for 3.99. Seriously it must have been 1/2 a cup. Miss the outback grillers they were the best. We will find a new place to meet and spend our money from now on. I had a hard time trying to find something that I actually wanted to eat. Once we did get out food, we immediatly noticed that our mashed potatoes were barely warm and there was a hair in them. Isn't Outback advertised as a steakhouse? My mom, husband and I came here today for a late lunch around 2:00 pm. The menu showed four "choices" of steak - a sirloin, a filet, a combo of sirloin and shrimp, and a chopped steak....so really only two choices if you want to get technical. My husband, who was in the mood for prime rib or ribeye, was not happy and neither was I as service was lacking at the hostess station. We will likely choose to spend our money at Rudy's for future steak cravings. read more

Really good service from the start by a young gentleman named Tovi. He was able to get direct answers from the kitchen manager concerning my shellfish allergy (so glad I can eat here without having to order salad). The blooming onion was good and wasn't huge sticks or over-breaded. I ordered the 8oz center cut sirloin medium rare with the Smokey bacon bourbon sauce, mashed potatoes, and Mac n' cheese. The steak was perfect! My boyfriend ordered the 6oz filet mignon medium with mushrooms, Aussie fries, and a Cesar salad. The steak came rare and the fries were nothing to scream about. My two best friends were having a horrible day so we decided to head over to outback since we have not been to this location since it has been open. I was a little nervous given some of the reviews posted on this site. When we arrived the hostess greeted us with a beautiful smile and whisked us off to our table. Our server came around the corner like a super hero to take our drink order. Whoosh... We ordered our food and she brought us out hot fresh bread and our drinks. Our blooming onion was crispy, hot and delicious. Our food came out perfect and our server was so incredible. The whole meal was terrific and our server kept our drinks refilled and fresh.I will definitely be going back to see the Outback! read more

Took my two boys down neither of the have been there we all ordered the porterhouse steaks. My youngest who is never satisfied completely with his meal no matter where we go. I asked to get more sauce took them four minutes then my steak was even colder. I asked for more butter. They gave me a teaspoon. They offered garlic butter, but he did not tell me it was $1.99. Where do I start...honestly, it would be easier to tell you what is good about this location and that would be that they are not open 24 hours! I've given it a go twice since they opened and both times they have failed in service and most importantly in quality of food each time. I'm not sure what the disconnect is or how a franchise location could fail across the board like this, but clearly they are confused with how to operate a restaurant at any level. My kids choose location since we where shopping at Keizer station . Waitstaff seemed like they didn't want to deal with customers,steak was so tough that I couldn't chew it. I can't even give this one star! A group of nine of us went last night to celebrate a birthday and anniversary. We had made reservations for 6:00. At 5:55 were all there and seated. First of all, you make reservations so you have good seating. We were put on the patio, in 90+ weather. It was hot, the music was loud and you couldn't hear each other in conversation. Thirty minutes later, our waitress finally brought us something to drink. The appetizers came and the Bloomin Onion was over cooked part way and the bottom wasn't cooked at all. The Cheesy Fries were so cold the cheese was firm. We were never served any bread at all. After 1.5 hours our waitress came to the table and said 'oh you did get your salads' and I asked if she could find out where our food was. I said we have been here 1.5 hours and this is getting ridiculous. She came back and said they are finishing it up now should only be about 10 minutes. When it finally arrived everything was cold and over cooked. As a server, I would have been embarrassed to bring that food to the table! The dishes with steak, the steak was so over cooked it looked like leather (and tasted horrible). The manager came to the table to bring one dish that wasn't served with the rest and apologized. I said you know, I don't want to complain, but everything on my plate is over cooked and cold. I said there is no way this just came off the grill, it has been sitting under the lights for a while. We started talking about the service and the food and one person in our party said "I still haven't been served my dinner". They totally forgot her order. While the manager was very apologetic and wrote off some of the bill and gave us vouchers to come back. We would have been more impressed if he had kept the vouchers and wrote off the whole dinner....since by then we had been there for 2 hours!!! And I guarantee you that we will never use the vouchers, we will not be going back. He did state that this restaurant is staffed with more employees than any other Outback Restaurant and there is no excuse for bad service or food. And he is right! My husband and I had lunch here yesterday. I ordered an Outback salad which cost $15.99. It was horrible. There several pieces of brown pieces of lettuce and it looked like a very cheap salad mix, not what it looked like in the menu. The "blue cheese vinaigrette" didn't look like a vinaigrette I've ever seen. It was thick and pasty and placed in a little bowl on the side and the blue cheese part of it was in big clumps on top of the salad. The steak was very chewy. My husbands chicken was dry and the vegetable side was a bunch of plain brocoli. The wait for the food was pretty long. Not worth the money.
