After getting blindsided by a sad little episode over at In-N-Out, I found myself doing what any reasonable grown man would do... retreating to Outback Steakhouse - Kaiser Station like it was a sanctuary for the wounded and the hungry. Now I didn't walk in there with high hopes. No sir. I walked in like a man who just got stood up by his own cheeseburger. Expectations were low... borderline underground. But then bam. Steak comes out like it's got something to prove. Cooked just right, like somebody in that kitchen actually gives a damn. Seafood? Sitting there warm and proper, not acting like it just woke up from a nap. And those fries hot. Not "kinda warm if you believe hard enough" I'm talking honest-to-God hot. Service? Smooth. The kind of smooth where you don't even notice it at first. Next thing you know, your drink's full, your table's clean, and your mood's done a complete 180. And the place itself clean, sharp, even the bathrooms looked like they had a little pride in themselves. That's how you know you're somewhere decent. Ain't nobody faking clean bathrooms. Walking out, I had that rare feeling... like maybe the universe owed me one and finally paid up. Outback didn't just fix dinner it restored a little faith in the whole going-out-to-eat operation. And that, my friend, is what I call a comeback story with steak.

Wait wasn't long, service was off for sure. Table was super dirty and the 2nd cleaning didn't do much so took the towel and did it our self. Not a lot of personality tonight hoping they have a better day tomorrow.

Compared to when we came in a few days ago, it was a complete 180° . Some this took a little longer but our wonderful waitress had a lot of tables she was working on. Our blooming onion was forgotten but when we told her we wanted our appetizer first she took our food back and we got our blooming onion we had ordered and they removed it from our ticket. Then REMADE new plates fir our main course. Our food was brought fresh. Everything tasted great, lately places seem to over salt the steaks. I forgot to ask for no salt but they did awesome. We were very happy with the service. We will be back soon.

We reserved on Tock, and it was mostly full on a Friday night. Drinks: lots of local beers are available, but I went with the Pineapple Express: she warned it was spicy, and it indeed was (in a really good way). All of the food is done family style: - Clams Galicia: with tomato, chorizo, bacon broth. This broth as amazing. I literally drank it with a spoon - Pan con tomate: slightly different from classic preparation - more flavorful and heavier on the toppings - Salmorejo: tomato and bread puree, Serrano, jammy egg - like a creamy gazpacho - Grilled asparagus: with whipped ricotta and a cured egg yolk - Squid ink pasta: with hazelnuts, caramelized onions, peppers, and a runny egg yolk, a bit spicy. This dish was my favorite - Honey brined pork chop with a basque piperade sauce The servers were all great about checking in. I would definitely recommend the squid ink pasta and the clams if you're in town!

This time, we were greeted by friendly staff as soon as we walked in. This is not unusual. We were seated immediately and our server approached promptly. Her name was Laramie, (super cool name), and she was friendly, happy, and very efficient. I had the smoked cheddar burger. This was the first time I had ordered it. It was so darned good!! It's a double patty burger with cheese, bacon, and all of the fixin's. It comes with a side of one's choice. I had the Jo-Jo's along with it. They were awesome too! They are wedged potatoes with a flavorful coating and then fried. Oh my goodness!!! So good! The restaurant is very clean, open spaces and decorated nicely. It's one of those places where you want to look around to see the fun things hanging on the walls. Nice but not overdone. Prices are good, right in there with many other restaurants and completely worth it for quality of their food and for the quantity that you get. I'm a big eater but I still had to take some home with me. I highly recommend stopping in for a great breakfast, lunch or dinner. You won't be disappointed!

My chicken fried steak was solid and easily enough for two meals. Unfortunately, my husband was pretty disappointed with his brisket. I was greeted by a very friendly server named Logan, he showed me to a booth, and let me settle in. After a few moments he came back with some fresh rolls and took my drink order, I opted for a glass of the house Pinot Noir. They have a nice varied menu and also offer some Chef specials. I decided on the Parmesan Crusted Halibut as my entree and a Ceaser salad to start. The salad arrived quickly and looked very good, I was informed that they had just made fresh croutons. After finishing my salad, which was very good the croutons were light and crispy, my dinner arrived. The overall presentation was excellent, the potatoes had a nice flavor and went well with the fish and asparagus. The halibut was cooked just right and the crust was perfect. Overall the meal was exceptionally delicious. I will make an effort to to come back and try more of the menu. I was informed that Saturday evening is a good time to stop in as they have live music. Highly recommended for a nice dinner with spouse, friends or work associates.
