From the moment we walked into Outback Steakhouse in Kissimmee, the experience started on a positive note. We were greeted immediately, and the wonderful woman at the front even opened the door for us. Her warm smile and welcoming attitude made us feel valued from the start. Once we sat at the bar, our bartender, Steve, was outstanding. He was polite, friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure every guest had a great experience. Not only was he taking care of the bar, but he was also serving tables, taking orders, and checking on guests throughout the restaurant. Despite how busy he was, he never missed a beat. Our meal was very good overall. The only thing I wasn't particularly fond of was the salad, as it seemed like it had been prepped earlier and stored in the refrigerator in the serving bowl before being brought out. It wasn't bad, but it lacked that fresh-made feel. The highlight of the visit was definitely the drinks. Steve knows exactly what he's doing behind the bar, and every drink was made perfectly. His professionalism, work ethic, and customer service truly stood out. Outback is fortunate to have an employee like Steve. Corporate should recognize his hard work, use him as an example for training others, and seriously consider him for a promotion. Employees like him are the reason customers return. read more

After the gym I was invited for dinner as this outback is across from the Crunch fitness on Osceola parkway near the loop. We were seated immediately and provided complimentary appetizers to start. I ordered the ribeye and coconut shrimp entree with side salad and baked sweet potato and it was good but the ribeye was a bit too salty . The ambiance was nice and it seemed pretty steady for a Friday night. Our server Richard was kind but lacked in a few area that made the evening a bit of a mess as he forgot sides, added items and then didn't know how to get it off the bill so the manager had to come to the rescue. Came here for dinner with our family and even though the restaurant was not busy, it took a while for the hostess to seat us. We ordered and the food came out in a timely manner. My French onion soup was soooo salty and had pieces of garlic in it, I ran through two glasses of water. The steak I ordered was undercooked, definitely not medium - it was so pink and chewy. I got horribly sick when I got home and was in the bathroom practically the whole night. My family didn't get sick but we didn't share food, so I'm not sure which one did it. Haven't visited an outback in a while. Went for an early dinner on a Sunday. It was pretty empty at the time so they sat us fairly quick. Our waiter was nice although we did ask for a few things and never got it (ordered a drink and never got it, asked for the salad to come with the meal and it came out right away, asked for bbq sauce never got it). As for food they have a 3 course meal deal which was a good value. Ordered the potato soup to start and that was flavorful and creamy. As my entree I had the sirloin with mashed potatoes and it was perfectly cooked! For dessert I had the classic cheesecake with raspberry sauce and it's a perfect touch to end the meal. read more

Outback is probably my favorite non fancy steakhouse. This time I had the 3 course meal, with house salad to start, sirloin with baked potato and cheesecake to finish. The steak was just right and juicy as always, never had a problem with the food here, however our server forgot to bring me my alcoholic drink and also asked for bbq sauce and never brought it. Our experience was good, it had been a while since we've gone honestly, but we saw they had a special of 1489 for a three course meal. I ordered the blooming onion burger. It comes with two sides and dessert. My husband had the chopped steak, which was more like a burger, patty and mushrooms with sweet potato. And a dessert. Had a very good experience here. We were able to get seated without a reservation and the service was fast and the food did not take long. Had the rib ribeye steak and although it wasn't Wagyu a prime quality need it was actually really good. The way they cooked. This is our usual Outback spot but the last few times we've been there, the food was super salty and the customer service was lacking. Obviously, service is based on luck and the individual you get. Usually service is good when we don't get a particular person, she's just not a good server. Nothing against her. She's just not good. Like I said, food is usually good and cooked well but overly salty even when we ask for light seasoning. I'd have to say, I appreciate when the managers comes and around and acknowledge the guys, it's a simple yet great touch to the experience. Today I decided to give this outback location another try & boy do I regret it. I ordered through DoorDash and ordered the steakhouse Mac & cheese, which was literally dry mac. I also had called 5 minutes after placing my order to ask for honey butter-- which Matthew assured me he would add, but didn't. When I received the food I called outback to let the manager know. Matthew answered and told me he was transferring me but hung up on me. I then called again and a young lady answered. I asked to speak to the manager & James was very polite and understanding. This was some of the worst food I have ever attempted to eat. Started off with baked potato soup, which maybe they boiled some potatoes in the water, took the potatoes out to make mashed potatoes for somebody else and then served the water up as soup after adding some onions, bacon and cheese. I asked the server to take it back and change it out for a salad because my friend salad looked really good. he had thousand island dressing and he said his was very good. I asked for ranch dressing and I literally almost threw up when I put it in my mouth. I don't know if the ranch dressing had gone bad or if they put some other kind of dressing in it that had fish in it. (If I come down with food poisoning I'll know the culprit). I don't eat fish, but it tasted fishy. Then came the hamburger. The hamburger , which was very very thin, had so much grizzle in it that I couldn't eat it. I ate a quarter of it picked out about five pieces of grizzle and called it a day. I decided to try the fries. The fries were barely warm. They were very leathery and kind of hollow. I think they were yesterday's fries that were warmed up. My friend said his fries were the same way neither one of us could eat the fries. I ended up giving my food back to the server and just asking him to take my meal off the bill. Or if he wanted to he could charge me for half the meal since I ate a quarter of the burger. He said no, and he still brought me the piece of cheesecake that came with the meal, which I thought was very nice of him. The cheesecake was OK. It wasn't really cold, but it was OK. The best thing about the meal was the special sauce that came with the outback burger. Of course all you can really taste was that sauce. The burger was so thin. You definitely couldn't taste the burger itself other than the feel of the pieces of gristle in your mouth. The best thing about the dining experience was the employees . The hostess, the server and the food Runner were all very nice and very accommodating. Note - the hostess said she'd send the manager over and (s)he did not come over. So a big fat ZERO for the management. Unfortunately, the service is not enough to bring us back. My friend and I both agreed this place was off of our future list. For reference we went at lunchtime around maybe 2 o'clock in the afternoon. And we got the lunch special. He was like $14 for a soup or a salad, a hamburger, french fries and piece of cheesecake. Which would've been a decent deal if the food was edible. The restaurant was clean. My friend really liked the atmosphere. Note: I see the contact us post by the business owner but how many times have they posted this? Now that I look on Yelp almost every other review is a 1 star. I posted to the hunters creek rants and raves page and several people said they got food poisoning at this location. *sort by date latest first if you want a recent sampling of reviews. The food is consistent for an Outback Steakhouse and overall, this was an overall positive experience. Our server was friendly and professional and the ambiance is again, what you would expect from an Outback Steakhouse. Outback Steakhouse has been around since the 1980's and the name came about after the popularity of "Crocodile Dundee." Outback Steakhouse is a good enough choice if you are looking for a mid-level steakhouse experience. If you find yourself in the area, this is a good enough overall experience. The Bloomin' Onion was star of the night and that's what gives this Outback 2 stars. Everything else was a total sh*t show. Our server was horrible just like the food. Majority of the time he was no where to be found. The poor bus boy was doing all the work, exchanging dishes that weren't ours, getting us refills. My friend ordered a Steak House Mac + Cheese which he didn't get until our meals were finished. The manager said she would take it off the bill. Sure enough come time for the check it's still on there. I ordered an 8oz sirloin medium which horrible. Very rubbery just didn't taste good at all. Over all from management to employees in this location dropped the ball. We live near this location and this is a regular occurrence. Recently stopped in like an hour before closing, just a small 15 minute wait time to be seated! I will say service was a bit slow, but I was understanding because it seemed to be understaffed. I do get to enjoy some of the newer menu options like the blueberry lavender lemonade (with alcohol), which was super refreshing and pretty good tbh! For my entree, I did the sirloin and bloomin fried shrimp, both options are pretty safe bets at outback, I asked for medium rare, and the steak was indeed cooked as such. The shrimp were a little on the saltier side for me, I'm not a fan of breading, but they were still good! Can't forget, the complimentary loaf, which is always the best!! Solid 4 stars! I was hesitant to dine at Outback Steakhouse because my previous experience (at a different Florida location) was bad enough to keep me away for over 8yrs lol. But to my pleasant surprise, my husband and I had a great evening! Our server Jessica was very nice, and overall had good service :). Both my husband and I enjoyed our food. All was cooked well and very flavorful. The fried ribs appetizer was our favorite. The crispy edges of the ribs were addicting! However, all the food was a bit too salty in my opinion-- not inedible, but get lots of water ready lol! We also weren't a fan of the "thunder and lighting" dessert. It was basically thrown in the bowl, mostly melted, and just way too sweet, unbalanced-- a hot mess, quite literally lol. And food was a bit overpriced... Regardless though, there were more pros then cons, so we would definitely visit again :). read more

Went for a birthday lunch and bit off more than we could chew....literally. We stopped by yesterday for lunch and got in at around noon, and the place was empty. We stood at an empty host stand for a few minutes before someone came over and greeted us, then took us to our table. We were told that we pretty much have our choice of tables but they wanted to seat us in a 2 top booth in the corner...which we accepted but it was a little weird to be sat in the smallest booth in the corner of the restaurant with no one else in there. There's server sections though so, no arguments from us, and it was plenty of space. Shortly after we were seated, someone brought bread out, but they weren't our server. Then the same person who sat us came over and said, "I guess I'll be taking care of you," in what seemed like a disappointing tone. I'm not sure if he pulled the short straw on getting the next table, but he certainly didn't seem to want to have us in his rotation. He told us his name was Hector and took our order. Our menus didn't have any of the ongoing specials or inserts, so I had to ask if they had the loaded bloomin' onion like the emails had sent out. He confirmed they did, and we ordered it. We were just in for aunch/snack for my birthday, so that was all we were getting during this experience. Hector brought us our drinks, and we patiently waited for our app. Our app was delivered by another member of the team who asked if we needed anything and confirmed we were set! There was no table touch after receiving our app to confirm we had what we needed or that it was even tasting okay. There was one person who came by to ask how we were, and it was the host on her way to the bathroom. I'm not sure why, but she did ‍ We were enjoying our bloomin onion until we ate the top layer of cheese fries to find a stack of plastic ramekins in the center of our meal. Hector, at this point, was tied up with another table and hadn't been back since he delivered drinks, so we asked the employee who brought our food if having plastic ramekins in the center was normal. He confirmed it wasn't, but that was about the end of the conversation. So, when Hector finally came over to confirm we were done with our meal, we asked him the same question, and he said he wasn't sure if it was normal. Maybe a metal ramekin was supposed to be there, but they are short on them, so they used plastic... We asked if it was cooked or heated to melt the fries with them in there because we were concerned about the plastic melting or being in the actual food... again, not sure. Regardless of whether they should have been there or not, he decided it wasn't important to figure out the answer or inform a manager and brought us our check. Guess they don't care much about OSHA there. I'm also blown away by the fact no one felt it necessary to get a manager involved - even to get a question answered with some certainty. It doesn't seem like a Bloomin' Brands sticking point, but maybe they encourage their servers to solve more customer issues now. When it came time to pay, I had my card at the end of the table, and he brought over a handheld credit card machine. He plopped it down and said I do everything myself and walked away." Now, I've seen these at other locations before, but I've never had a server. Just plop it down for me to do the work myself. I've always had them take my card, run it. And have me input a tip and finish the transaction while being tableside. Maybe that has changed - I don't know. Luckily, I'm savvy with technology and figured the process out myself because I certainly wasn't given any instructions. It definitely wasn't the birthday experience we planned. We decided against any celebratory dessert because of the lack of concern about foreign objects being in our food and just paid and left and went on with our day. Most experiences won't deter me from going back to a place again, but that that we felt like we weren't welcomed guests was really off-putting. A solid experience. This location was within driving distance to the area we were shopping in, so we swung through for lunch. We were seated right away and our server was over shortly thereafter. They have QR menus to help keep high-rate contact items down, which was nice. The tables were clean and it felt like they were doing a good job with sanitizing between customers. I opted for the caesar salad with some shrimp. The little had chicken tenders with fries. The salad was good - dressing was a little heavy, so I'd probably ask for it on the side next go. We had a wonderful experience at this location when we were in the Orlando area. Our service was great, the food was great, and we didn't notice but the manager had offered us a free desert because the food hadn't come out yet in the time frame they liked to get it to the guests. It was a very kind and lovely offer. The kids were super excited about. We thought that was really cool because we weren't too concerned or bothered by the time, but went the extra mile! The kids had ribs and a sirloin. All tasted good except our daughters steak was supposed to be medium and it was well done. She ended up not eating most of it because of that. My husband had a Cobb Salad, and I had the filet with shrimp (newer flavoring) and a sweet potato. I don't know what it is about Outback house salads, but I love them! Such simple items, but always so delicious. For our dessert, we had the Salted Caramel Cookie Skillet. O-M-G! I am not a huge sweets eater, but that was amazing! I had an AWFUL experience with Aidan R., our waiter. My girlfriend and I had dinner at this Kissimmee location on August 03, 2024. Aidan R. was extremely rude, giving me an attitude after I requested a refill for my water. He barely acknowledged us at the table, making it seem that he was being bothered that he had to serve us. Aidan interrupted me and my girlfriend multiple times, and we both felt uncomfortable having dinner and lost our appetite. Every time he spoke, he was being incredibly aggressive, scaring the both of us. He threw me my card and receipt, as well as our take out boxes, and left as quickly as he could. Aidan made us wait for an extremely long time, checking up on other tables multiple times before us. We felt discriminated against by Aidan R. for not being Spanish/Latino, as well as being young. I am 20 years old. My girlfriend is 19. We are both young-looking people. We both have jobs and have enough money to dine in and tip our waiter. Aidan clearly did not share the same idea. He treated us like kids, berating us and speaking in a patronizing manner, with very little respect for his guests. I am sure that families or anyone that decides to dine here with children will be faced with the same treatment and "quality" of service. Both of us were shocked that the owner of this business, Jenny D. Inoa, would allow staff like Aidan to treat their customers like they are subhuman. I have had better service and friendlier, welcoming interactions eating at fast food restaurants like McDonald's compared to this Outback. If you dine at this Outback Kissimmee location, be prepared to be treated like garbage. It is safe to say that we wholeheartedly DO NOT recommend ANYONE with a sense of self-respect from going to this Kissimmee location.
