Everything was incredible at this location. Went in tonight around 8pm and the host was superb. My server was extremely delightful. Hands down the best service I've had in Oklahoma. I'm used to the superb service from my home city Las Vegas and my server topped them all. Unfortunately I do not remember her name but that's entirely on me since I'm terrible with names. However I plan on going back before my last day here and hope she's available. The food was great. Perfect medium rare steak and hot hot hot lobster tail. Not cold like most other locations I've been to. Lettuce in caesar salad was on its last few days and made the texture unpleasant. It is so easy to get full here. Bread! Blooming onion! Salad, steak, and a baked potato! The food is impressively not expensive because it comes with sides and the bread is free. (And so good. I can't stop.) My waitress was wonderfully attentive, even as she had multiple huge parties to tend to. The tables are really close together, but in all not too bad because even at the peak time we went, it was busy but not loud. Our wait for a table for two was only about 10 minutes on a Friday night, which is impressive. Two of us got out for 40 + tip for an appetizer, two steaks, and four sides. Bloomin' Onion is to die for however, it is much smaller than I remember it back in the early 2000's. The Outback burger is above par but nothing spectacular. The decor is not really "Aussie" and reminds me of all the other Oklahoma chains (Chili's, Cheddars, etc.) which makes the style pretty boring. Decided to give it another try and was impressed our bartender and server Natalie provided awesome service and made the dining experience overall to be one of the best I have had in quite some time. The food was great had the prime rib and chopped salad both were perfect. Visited with the manger Brandon about the change from the last time I ate there and he was attentive and I noticed that he is on the floor checking on guests and providing service to the guest. I dined in at this location on1/18/21. The server Kate was nice and took my drink order a few minutes after seating and refilled without me having to ask. The filet was done perfect medium rare and was entirely tender. The biggest surprise was that the mac and cheese actually had melted cheese in it rather than swimming in processed cheese sauce. In Norman OK on business, walked to the Outback Steakhouse for my evening meal. I sit at the bar and order. Don't know if it was just me, but there was a smell... like a garbage disposal gone bad... I ignored and ordered. Very nice bartender, no issues with service. I get my 12oz ribeyewith mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese in record time. Things went downhill from there... The ribeye was good, no issues there, but wasn't particularly good. The mashed potatoes were not. Cold, and pasty.... remember the paste from elementary school we weren't supposed to eat? Yup. Tasted good, but seemed to have been plated for a lunch customer then served to the next guy (at 5pm). The other fail was the mac and cheese, cold, flavorless Mac and (I think) cheese. Not a great experience. Service was fine and fast, food quality was poor. Solid 2 stars. Nearly forgot to mention... the knife presented with my meal was not washed.. had lots of what appeared to be dried mashed potatoes on it (paste?). read more

My family used to frequent Outback Steakhouse, but a series of poor experiences on our last visits at multiple locations around the OKC metro, we took a break from the chain. Sunday night, we took a chance and were very pleased with the experience. While the service wasn't flawless, one meal needed attention, and we had a communication breakdown during ordering, this 4-star rating is due to the dedication of the staff (including GM) to correct our orders and bolster our overall experience. as Norman has a lot of steakhouses this one is in the middle as far as price=value goes not a bad thing but a lot of competition, i like the good old greasy blooming onion which we got as well as a couple of steaks which were good but not overly tender service was good so a solid choice but there are better steaks in norman read more

This Outback location used to be my Family's "fun, cheap, quick" steakhouse place. But it had gone way downhill. Food is still OK, but the waitstaff are absolutely retarded. The service just continues to get worse. I now have had 3 meals (including my own birthday meal and a meal with my mother who I only get to see once a year) ruined by the wait staff. I enjoy eating at Outback restaurants in general. This one in particular is usually really good. I have never had a complaint about the food...just the service. For the most part though, this is a good place to eat in Norman. They are occasionally crowded at normal peak times, but I've never had to wait more than 30 minutes. Quite possibly the worst restaurant experience of my life. Waitress disappeared after taking our drink order and never returned. 15 min later another waitress stopped by after we had called her over, to inform us that our sever was "very sick and had to go home. Still without drinks, she walked off. We sat for another 8 minuets until the general manager, Tyler walked by and asked how we were doing (still without drinks) and realized we had still not been helped. Instead of taking our order himself, he had another waitress come by. Order was wrong, steak cooked incorrectly, and drinks stayed empty. With 6 years of serving experience, I know all well this is completely unacceptable. Our liquor was comped, but that will not save our experience. We came here recently & were not happy at all. We order well done steaks without seasoning & they came out with seasoning on it. So we asked to have them without the seasoning as we can't take the seasoning. They take them back & they come out not well done so we ask nicely to have them well done. Well after having to send them back 4 times with no explanation we ask what happened. The manager on duty took blame for the last 2 times it was sent back & then blamed us for not telling them exactly what we wanted & then gave us a $10 gift card to compensate. The waitress was very nice but we are deeply dissatisfied with the food & management. Really 2.5 stars. Outback used to be a 3-4 star but continues to not excite everytime I visit. I got the lobster and filet and my wife got the filet. Both ordered the same way. Funny when they arrived totally different. One thick and juicy and the other flat and dry. We sometimes come here when we don't feel like driving up to Texas Roadhouse and it's just okay. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's just eh. The service is always good but the tables are often dirty and the food is sometimes only lukewarm. Fiance and I always order rare steaks and mine inevitably always comes out overdone. Maybe it's cause I order smaller steaks? I dunno but it shouldn't be hard to make a smaller steak rare. Last time it was med-rare at best and was really tough and gamey. And I realize this next issue isn't Outback's fault, but last time we went, the restaurant was near-empty and we got seated right next to a table full of loud, drinking "bros" and a single mom who's kindergarten-aged son ran absolutely WILD the entire time. Throwing food, shouting, having tantrums, running all over the place, etc. Even if the food had been really good our meal would have been ruined either way. Managers should say something to people like this who let their feral children ruin the dining experience for everyone else.
