Decided to come to Outback Steakhouse after a long day at work Wednesday night. My friends and I got seated in a less crowded section and were shocked to find out that it was this empty because the waiter greeting us was a sweet young man! Turns out, he's a new waiter after being a runner for a while, and he's done a great job! He gave us a warm welcome, I felt right at home at this local Outback!!! The food was as good as you can expect with a chain restaurant, I have no complaints. When you come here, ask to be sat with Isaiah, I promise you will not be disappointed. I saw him give the same superb service to the rest of his section, which quickly filled up. His smile and his attitude will brighten your day as it did mine. Went on a Wednesday. The place was not super busy. They attended people that got there after us first. We didn't have a dedicated waitress. They kept switching from people that were free I'm guessing. It was only me and another person eating. Literally everyone that got there after us were served first. Finally when we got the food it was cold. The service here is terrible. I do respect the manager tried to help us out and gave us vouchers. I love OSH it's always been in my top 10 Best restaurant's till this day. The service is always on point the server's are always very polite and professional. The young boys at the reception area didn't like that I wanted to be seated off by myself.I E covid they were going to seat me right away.but told me I'd have to wait for 10 to 15 min. No complaint about the food but the available drinks are questionable. Celebrated our son in law birthday on 10/16/2023. Got seated quickly and asked what to drink. My wife ordered coffee only to be told coffee machine was broken and no coffee available. She order hot tea and was told no hot water was available as it came out of the same machine. She ordered ice tea with lemon and regular sugar (she cannot take sugar supplements). When the ice tea was brought she there told no regular sugar was available. This was at 6 pm on a football Monday! My wife lost her desire to be at Outback and wanted to leave, but because it was a birthday celebration she stayed. She ended up having water and eating part of the appetizers. What should have been a beautiful evening ended up very cold. We don't blame the waitress - she is only the messenger - but why can't Outback plan better. Being a football Monday what to do with individuals at the bar who had too much to drink and want coffee! Why can't Outback go to the local grocery store or Smart & Final to get sugar or is the cost too much for them. I mean "come on there must be a back up plan" or PLEASE inform guests at the entrance so options can be made. Honestly if we knew this before seating we would have declined to be seated and went to another location or a competitor. This whole situation left a bad taste for Outback and chances are other options will be made in the future. read more

First I want to say that I am a Outback Steakhouse customer and a very loyal one at that Secondly the service was impeccable, the ambiance was great . But my faith in their quality control has been driven to the ground .We had a plate that had their famous outback seared shrimp , I popped it in my mouth expecting that gratification of tasty grilled shrimp to my surprise it was the foulest , smelliest vile tasting shrimp I literally choked and had to swallow as to not spit it out on my family. Somebody is not watching if the seafood is still fresh smelling at least .My daughter took a bite at another shrimp at the same time luckily she was able to spit it out . Just felt nauseous afterwards , I tried to eat the rest of my meal to cover the foul taste in my mouth but was not able to mask it . The server was gracious and apologetic she brought the manager which offered not to bill us for the plate and give us a discount. But I replied that the whole moment was ruined and that possibly we were going to have two cases of food poisoning. The manager did comeback apologetic and only billed us for drinks. Again it's something that the server has no control over but the cooks must have gotten a nose full of that foul smelling decaying shrimp when cooking it. I asked the manager to get a whiff of the handkerchief where my daughter spit the shrimp out , she didn't. Again I love the outback restaurant it's a special place, but there must be some type of quality control or someone watching what is being served. I'm still nauseous and will probably need to see a doctor. read more

Came here on a Thursday night @ 6:45. There was a short wait (5-10 mins). I expected that since it's the Happy Hour dinner rush crowd. We were seated in the bar area. All was cool until the young "man" with hair highlights, in the booth next to us began "talking". 100+ decibels is a bit much especially when it's accompanied with a flamboyant lisp. But whatever. Our server Isiah came to the rescue. I never once complained. Isiah is savvy enough to recognize "situations". He is a very astute young man. He was incredibly attentive and personable. He told us that he is studying film production. The meal and service were excellent. This Outback knows how to cook beef exactly the way it was ordered. After 15 years of coming here they are the most consistent steakhouse in the area. Kudos to Isiah for his professionalism. A big thank you to the kitchen staff. I have been to this location a bunch of times and it has been very good, until the last few times we've been there. Now the last few times haven't been good at all, the food isn't great, the service is VERY slow, and most of the staff are snappy and rude. We last went on a Saturday, and surprisingly it wasn't too packed. We got inside and had to wait a few minutes which was fine. Once we got to our table we ordered our drinks and got the blooming onion appetizer, which came out fairly quick. Then, the food. There was 8 of us, so we were expecting some food to take a little longer. We ordered our food and I got the Outback center-cut sirloin cooked medium well, with Aussie fries and baked potato soup. It took about 10 minutes to get my baked potato soup, which was very good, but we had ordered more soups and some salads that didn't come in. It was about 15 minutes later that we had said something about the soups, and the lady (I didn't get her name), got a little snappy and tried to rush us on telling her what we were missing. Then they finally got the soups and salads and had to wait another 20 minutes for 1/4 of our food. My steak turned out well done and dry instead of medium well. We talked to the manager (Brook) and told her that the service was really slow and the food wasn't even right. She said that she would see what she could to to make it up for us, but our check came out full with no discounts or anything. I know there was a lot of us to handle, be even the time before us they took forever and there was only four of us, and the place was empty. I've gone here twice, once 6 months ago and one recently, and both times I've had some of the craziest stomach pain and issues within 3 hours max of finishing eating here. And its crazy because I've ordered wildly different things here yet its always the same result -- crazy stomach pain. Had a Sunday date night with hubby. Didn't have to wait at all (it was 4pm). Hostess was nice and gave us a warm welcome. Did not appreciate the dirty floors one bit. I used to work in the food industry and it embarrassed me when I had to seat our guests at a table that had all kinds of crap underneath. Our server, Ashley, was cheery, bubbly and full of energy. She took our order and delivered our drinks in a timely fashion (waters, strawberry lemonade and a beer for hubby). Our wedge salad came shortly after. For dinner, we ordered the kings land pasta and Sheila steak medallions. Both were cooked to perfection and came out just in time. Overall, our food was delicious. The only thing that really made my dining experience less than perfect was the cleanliness of the facility. The dining area had rubbish all over the floor. I didn't get to use the rest room but if they looked like the dining area, I'm glad I didn't. Could definitely improve in that sense. Wish the staff had more initiative and pride in their workplace. No one is above doing the simple things like sweeping. There were 2 people greeting. I felt that anyone could have taken the time to sweep up and if it were the manager, use that time to greet the guests, see how everyone was doing. I can only speak for myself, but when I see people keeping their work area clean, it gives me more confidence that they care about where they work. Mind you, there were lots of empty tables and booths on this Monday evening. I had just asked how much longer and was told as soon as a table was free. My wife and I dined at the Outback Restaurant in Norwalk on Presidents Day. We were there less than 5 minutes when we were seated. We weren't sure of what to order, but while we were deciding, our waitress, Bree, brought us some nice, warm bread and butter. She was very helpful in suggesting what to order. After we ordered our meals, she noticed that we had finished our bread and brought us another! She refilled our drinks without being asked. All this and other things made our dining experience a very pleasant one. Also, when the bill came, she asked if we were AARP members, so we can qualify for the 10% discount. That's what I call service with a smile . We'll definitely be returning there, thanks to having employees, like Bree! We ordered PAID food for curbside pickup at 515pm on 2/14/2021, we went to PICK UP @ 645 & waited for about 30 mins in a line that didn't move, we asked employee & they said to wait 30 another mins, we ended up at Bruces tacos, thankfully & picked up a few tacos, we drove back to Outbacks and waited for another 45 mins. At this time its 745pm, food was not even being prepared. And we ended up leaving after a female employee was being RUDE AF!! Almost 30 minutes, I was going to ask for the manager and compliant in front of a few customers but decided to leave and never come back again. Came on a Sunday afternoon, food was horrible. Our steaks we ordered medium well. I thought they gave us beef jerky it was so dry. I had broccoli for a side and it was so soft I couldn't even use the fork to pick it up, I had to scoop it up. Didn't say anything because I didn't know what they would do to have sent the food back. I had dinner with friends on a Wednesday night. We came because one of them heard this place has a plate of steak, fries and beer for $10. We didn't believe it but then we saw it on the menu and it said for certain hours only. We were sad and was going to order something else but then our server said it was am all day special. We all got the same thing, how could you not? We did add a for extra but who cares with that deal, keep the sides coming. We got to enjoy a onion bloom for free that night too since the Dodgers won the game before (another promo offer). I also ordered a drink from the bar and oh man it was good. It was a good dinner. I received such great service tonight that I felt compelled to leave a review. Our waiter Isaiah and the manager Becca were so great that it made our dinner that much more enjoyable. They were constantly checking in and when I let the manager know that the kids did not like the steakhouse Mac and cheese (not for kids), she immediately said she would take it off our bill (without me asking).
