    Salmon Quinoa Corm

So really wanted to eat something else but because we were staying there decided to give it a try. It was pretty empty, though I didn't let that detour me. Our server was nice, but my first drink from the bar came out with a black 6in strand of hair in it, that I was shocked arrived at the table. It was long and dark black I saw it as it was being placed on the table. Our server picked it back up as I immediately let him know and he examined it and said he didn't see anything. My husband was floored and took a fork a picked the hair up like a noodle, then he goes ah I see. This was disappointing. Mistakes happen, but don't act like you can't see what's wrong here. I usually eat Salmon everywhere, but I opted for the fried chicken sandwich which was really good. I had to have them make another one I feel like the chicken was undercooked the first time, maybe rushed it out to me. Which didn't seem necessary since they weren't busy. However, once received cooked thoroughly it was very good. My husband's salmon had a really strong fish odor, which I thought was unusual (again I literally eat salmon everywhere). I might eat here again just for the chicken sandwich but only if I was staying there and was too exhausted to go anywhere else. Wouldn't recommend.

    Southwest Chicken Salad ($15 salad + $8 chicken = $23)

We're staying here at the DoubleTree inn and decided to get some dinner after arriving from the airport. We came at about 7pm and they were still open, not busy( there were only about 2 other tables there when we arrived). Service was good and pretty fast. We were in and out and under 1 hour (just my other half and I). I got the southwest Salad with chicken and wow the chicken was so good! I really enjoyed my salad (about $15 + chicken $8 so $23~ for my salad). My boyfriend had gotten the chicken sandwhich and that was super good too! Fries were delicious. We both enjoyed our meal after a super long day. Didn't get to try the wine or alcohol, but maybe later in our trip.

They recently changed the menu I ordered the short rib and chicken penne pasta for pickup. Short rib was so tender and pasta was so creamy, everything was delicious!!

Loved the food here . Usually order take out if it's open usually it's too late when I arrive . I love this Double Tree Property' because of the food . We had a rotini pasta with pancetta , wings and fish and chips . Let me say we were delighted with ever bite . We all enjoyed our dishes very much . Our server and bartender were both amazing and very attentive . The ambiance was very chill and low key but they do have a bar incase anyone wants to hang out there . Can't wait to eat here again .

    Chicken cobb salad

I was a little skeptical about trying this place out since my past experiences with restaurants in chain hotels have been a hit and miss. With that being said, I was pleasantly surprised this place was pretty good. The decor of the restaurant was nice, your typical hotel grill vibe. The food was good, I had the avocado toast which had a great twist to it. Lucky for me it, had two of my favorites mixed in one! Avocado toast with the ingredients of caprese on top. The only thing I would change is it definitely needed more avocado. You can never have too much avocado! I also had the chicken cobb salad, the grilled chicken had just the right amount of seasoning. The prices were pretty standard for a hotel restaurant, the parking within steps of the entrance.

    "Clam Chowder" ?!?

Came by for a complimentary breakfast buffet while staying at the Doubletree Norwalk. The experience was horrendous! The hostess was condescending when informing the Asian tour guests "We need ticket before eat!" ?!? She also did a good job of segregating the Asian vs. Hispanic guests in the dining room. She came by our table asking where we were from?!? The jokers running the circus were ghetto at best. There was a fly hanging out inside the ham for the omelet station. I tried to inform the "cook" and he assumed that I wanted a ham omelet ?!? My over-easy egg looked like s*it. ...this was the "cook" second attempt as he threw his first attempt in the trash when I wasn't looking. ...check out the "Clam Chowder"...looks like Oatmeal to me...

Four star goes to food and service. The place was pretty empty when we're there. My burger was tasty, even fries were good. This is not the best looking Double Tree I've been, though good food I had.

Good hotel food but it took forever to get it. We were the only ones in the restaurant so I'm not sure what the issue was. I'd give em another try.

After eating here several times I had to leave a review. The breakfast buffet is good, custom made omlets along with pre made French toast, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and potatoes with peppers and onions. There is also fresh fruit and cerial options Along with all you can drink juces. The dining options are good although the limits of the menu may put some off. There is a nice bar and during the week the happy hour specials are awesome, $3 margaritas and drafts, 1/2 price appetizers and friendly staff make for a great visit!

Good spot for groups. Service was very friendly including our server and the hosts. I was impressed that when they brought all of our food out, there were multiple servers and they knew which dish belonged to whom in our party of 5. They have a wide variety of menu options. I ordered the lamb burger because it's not something you normally see on a restaurant menu. It was delicious! Everyone in our group really enjoyed their food. Looking forward to going back!

The Raised by Wolves cocktail is a tried and true cocktail. If you like a bit of spice, order this one! I also tried the ube cocktail this time. I was hesitant when I saw it come out as a candy blue looming drink. But it tastes creamier than it looks. And not as sweet as it looks. It's decently balanced. Looks like melted snow cone. The last time we came here, what made me take a star away was just the over all price and service. Cocktails are $18 and that is really steep for an every day kind of cocktail. If I'm paying $18, I'd like it to be a special occasion but this isn't exactly that. It's elevated but not that much. And service from Daniel was good. He checked in on us just the right amount of time. But mannnn that personality is a flat line. Hostess was cheerful. Ambiance is pleasant. I just can't really justify the cost here for what it is. It's a love hate here. Maybe I need a second job to support my wants.

Everything was really good. The food was solid, and the pricing felt fair for today's world--not cheap, but not outrageous either. Honestly, since it's inside a hotel, my expectations weren't sky-high, but the food pleasantly surprised me. I'd definitely come back, especially to try their brunch. The reason it's four stars instead of five comes down to the atmosphere and staffing. The restaurant sits right in the hotel lobby with no walls, so you hear everything--hotel guests coming and going, music playing in the lobby, the TV from the bar, and general foot traffic. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxed dinner, this might feel a little overstimulating. Also, our waiter (who was great, by the way) seemed to be doing the job of about three people. He was taking orders, bringing drinks and food, running payments, and even delivering room service. The poor guy was working like he owed the hotel money. On a Friday night, they could definitely use more staff. That said, the food was good, the service was kind, and I'd still come back--next time probably for brunch.

With so many appetizers, I went with a Caesar salad and two soft tacos (shrimp and fish). The Caesar salad was good and healthy sized, so I could share with others. It was a typical, but good, Caesar which didn't have anything fancy about it (no anchovies, egg yolk, etc), but nothing was really lacking either. Both soft/street tacos were good, respectable in size and very tasty. Other people in our party got burgers, goat cheese salad, chicken sandwiches, and everyone seemed very happy with their meals. Service was friendly and casual. Our server was the one who really recommenced the Frachos, which was a great call. I've been to Eurekas before and always been satisfied. Just a couple of weeks ago, my friends and I were considering our options for where to have brunch to celebrate one of our friend's retirement. Toast was one of the names I dropped in the metaphorical hat, and it won the vote of a few. My friends were surprised that I had named a spot I hadn't yet tried since I'm usually the "foodie" of the group. However, another girl in the group who had been here before vouched for it. I'm glad I finally got to try this place this past weekend, and I cannot wait to return! There were so many things on their menu that I wanted to try. A couple of the ladies ordered green chilaquiles, the friend we were celebrating ordered the Spanish Omelet, another woman I'd met that day had the bacon and eggs, another one ordered the Biscuits and grave with a side of bacon that looked perfectly crispy. I wish I had taken pictures of the plates as it all looked so lovely! I didn't even take a picture of my own food haha. I had my eyes on an omelet, one of the Benedicts or the Chicken n Waffle. In the end, the chicken and waffle won. It comes served with a little container of maple syrup with bacon pieces. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The waffle was delicious, though I did request for some extra syrup on the side. To drink, a few ladies ordered mimosas, one ordered an iced caramel coffee, and I ordered the Carajillo. I fell in love with this drink last summer in Mexico and do not often see it on the menu. I love the subtle citrus notes the Licor 43 adds to this espresso drink. It is very similar to an espresso martini, and theirs comes topped with a toasted marshmallow. I honestly wanted to try almost every item in their Tipsy Barista section of their drinks. I'll just have to come back that many more times :) Plenty of parking in the mall lot. It does get pretty packed during peak hours. Fortunately I had called ahead to put our group of 6 down. We went in on Saturday around 11:30. It slowed down a bit while we were eating, but started to get busy again after 1. Otherwise, we might have been forced to honor their 90-minute rule. All in all, a great experience from everyone in our group. No complaints on the wait, service or food. That certainly deserves a toast. Great job, Toast!
