About a month ago I went in and I wanted to order a to go order and a young gentleman was very very helpful I wish I knew his name he is tall caucasian , don't remember his name but he was so helpful. Lowest quality of shrimp I've ever seen in my life at a Steakhouse (well, a fast food steakhouse anyway.) Food plated by a short staffed kitchen. I'm a convert. I was never impressed with Outback. At my first visit, a few decades ago, we had a few drinks and a blooming onion, which had raw flour and uncooked batter at the base. I never tried that since, as tantalizing as it seems. I've been there 4-5x since then. Until now, nothing ever stood out as exceptional. My friend Abraham and I go to the movies every 3 weeks. Today he wanted to go to Outback afterwards. I'm a good sport, he could said KFC or Pollo Loco and I would gladly go along with him. Have you tried the clam chowder? OMG. It's seriously good. Made with finely diced celery and broccoli of all things, with finely shredded carrot; the soup is not heavy on the cream as done at too many restaurants. This lovely light chowder has healthy, fresh vegetables and is well balanced. The small diced clam was a little on the light side, but I'm not complaining. It's served with traditional oyster crackers. The grilled chicken sandwich with blooming onion was served on brioche with a house sauce. I could fathom horseradish in the sauce. The pickles were thin cut, sparse and delicious. The tomato was freshly cut and fully patent. The iceberg was limp and fell out of the sandwich as I ate it. Sadly, they forgot the onion which arrived when I was on the last 1/10th. The onions were a little on the salty side which tasted fabulously good and was pipping hot. We enjoyed them. Abraham had steak tips and shrimp over fettuccine Alfredo. He ate it all up and said it was great. As always their dark bread was warm and good. The best part, was we were comped for the missing onions by getting our iced tea gratis. AND we got %10 off the entire meal because Abraham is a hero as evidenced by his USMC hat. I thought the first time just happened and that I wasn't going to have something like this again but it did, it happened again. Welcome Back! A year or so I gave this location a low rating. Craving the wings I thought I'd give it another try. The table smelled funny like an old rag may have been used. I went to wipe it myself and a young man up front named Isaiah offered to re-clean it. It worked. He also helped with another customer service item. He was awesome and so was the food. We had the honey glazed pork chops and they was amazing! Our server Michelle was super sweet and kept the warm bread flowing!
