I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant today and the food was decent, but the customer service is what made my visit memorable. As soon I walked in I was greeted by the loveliest young woman (I believe her name was Kyra) with such a beautiful smile on her face! Other hostesses at other locations were so broad and boring, but this one had such an amazing personality. I was seated almost immediately and my order came out swiftly. We came for Sunday dinner and we're immediately greeted by a host that began to have a booth prepared for us. Our waitress took our drink order and returned to take our food ordered and brought us warm bread and butter. I ordered the Queensland chicken shrimp pasta, which was so good and full of flavors. The chicken and shrimp was grilled to perfection and the pasta was delicious. My wife ordered the ribeye and coconut shrimp, she really enjoyed the dish and said the streak was cooked to perfection. The steak was good size, but was very tough and chewy. The service was good and otherwise everything else was fine. I'm hoping that perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing. However, since this is supposed to be a steakhouse, I was somewhat disappointed. The food was cooked to perfect with a perfect Medium steak and baked lobster Mac & cheese. We asked for the manager special (not on the menu) and we were pleased with the generous portions that left us full the rest of the day. I asked for the burger cooked to a medium temperature, and it was a perfect hot, pink cook. It is so hard to find anyplace that can do this these days. Kudos to the staff! The Outback in our area of northern California closed a while ago, so I was glad to see that in southern California they are still operating. We started with what is probably the worst thing for any diet, the the Bloomin' Onion, a delicious, oily, giant onion, and fried to perfection. While it is not a healthy choice, it is yummy and everyone in our group enjoyed it and we ordered even more of them! I had a delicious steak, cooked exactly as I ordered (medium rare). We got the blooming onion appetizer which is HUGE for two people to share, one cocktail drink, one non alcoholic drink, the sirloin with coconut shrimp, loaded potato, French onion soup, and a side cesear salad, as well as the free bread. Between the two of us, it was more food than we were able to eat and we took home leftovers which were still amazing the next day. Our total pre-tip was around $61. I'm not sure why this place has such negative reviews, we experienced great service and not a long wait when we arrived on a Friday at dinner time. The free bread is much appreciated in this economy!
