It's really frustrating the drastic quality difference between Palm Harbor's Outback and Westchase. We ordered a blooming onion and had to send it back and forgo it all together because of the terrible quality just look at the picture. It couldn't be pulled apart and it had hardly any batter on it. Then we ordered our steaks medium well and they came out clearly medium rare. I was exhausted of complaining so didn't waste my breath and I won't waste my money here again either. Such a shame because I really love Outback. Our server was decent not the best but not the worst. The ambience like any Outback was fine and the restaurant was clean. read more

So we went on April 23rd for dinner, and was seated, and a waitress came over by the name Rocky. She was very friendly, happy, and very informative. We ordered drinks, and then she brought us our bread and water. I ordered the steak and Lobster tail that was amazing. My wife ordered the ribs, which she said was amazing. And our waitress Rocky was amazing. So we had a great night. Rocky was so bubbly and very informative, that the next time we go back, we are going to ask for her. Well, I said that I would not go back to this restaurant, but my son was hungry and we were closeby. He had a better cut of steak at Chili's in Oldsmar. I wanted a salad so I ordered the Sydney salad with grilled chicken and dressing on the side. The menu description "Fresh mixed greens, arugula, cucumbers, tomatoes, bacon, pepitas, Blue Cheese crumbles, balsamic glaze, choice of dressing and topped with grilled chicken." ALL ICEBERG lettuce with chunks of its core too, no balsamic glaze, and soaked with the dressing once I tossed it, even though I didn't put any dressing on it, and was given a cup of dressing on the side. just picked up a baby back rib dinner, and it was fantastic. My meal was ready by the time I arrived at Outback.

Once again we dined at this Outback, and were happy with the service (quick), our server (Drew was wonderful), and the food (so good). I had the grilled chicken with potato soup & broccoli. Husband had the sirloin, bloomin' fried shrimp, mashed potatoes and a salad. We both had the bread. Everything was good, hot (salad was cold and crisp!), and filling. We had no room for dessert. We even brought home leftovers Tuesday night to enjoy Wednesday! We are thankful for this Outback, which has not disappointed in the years it's been here. In fact, during CoVid, they were open and did a fantastic job with carry out! We visited at least once a week and sometimes twice. We will keep coming back! read more

Food was ok. My steak was miserable but not something the restaurant could have predicted. It was a ball of meat so the temperature was not correct. It was filled with tough stringy bits that made it difficult to cut. I was fighting for my life! The baked potato was great! Our server was adequately attentive and Jessie the manager was lovely. Outback Steakhouse, Palm Harbor, FL Fourth visit in a row my steak was undercooked, each time CONFIRMED by the manager on duty. I have for my entire life ALWAYS ordered my steak medium-well. My steak I received was bloody-rare, there was a pool of blood on my plate. The last time, about a month ago, that I visited Outback the same thing happened and it took almost 25 minutes for the kitchen to re-make my steak and I did not have time for that this visit. When I said something to my server, J**C, his response was "I didn't cook your steak!" Nice. A manager stopped by the table and I told her what happened and she did take the price of the steak off my bill, but I still left about half my steak on my plate and I left without a satisfying meal. When J**C brought my bill I asked if he could please bring me a paper traditional check instead of the digital pad that many restaurants are unfortunately switching too nowadays. I don't like touching that screen that 50 other people have touched that day, AND I DON'T LIKE HAVING THE SERVER STANDING THERE STARING AT ME WHILE I INPUT THE TIP AMOUNT!!! This is a horrible way to squeeze more guilt-tip money out of your loyal customers! J**C said with attitude "Well, SINCE YOU SAID PLEASE!" and walked away towards the kitchen. As I was leaving I said one last thing to the manager who was standing at the hostess podium and your hostess (who somehow knew all about my situation) said "Well, it seems like we can't ever satisfy you- why do you keep coming back?!" ??? Copying my Google review... Today was probably the last time I come to an Outback. We used to come here a lot over the years for Prime Rib but the last half a dozen times we've gone to any location we've been disappointed. Tonight we specially came early enough for prime rib since that is the only thing we want to order here but found out they only do it on the weekends now. Our server encouraged us to share our feelings because they are also very disappointed. We reluctantly ordered three different steak meals all medium rare and only one was decent, most were over cooked. Food was SO good. We got the Ribeye with loaded baked potatoes, fries, and a loaded baked potato soup. Everything tasted amazing. My only complaint is the fries. They had good seasoning and looked like they'd taste amazing but when I got home and opened the box, the fries were smushed under the steak so they got all soggy. If the fries were packaged separately this would've been a perfect meal. But other than that, great food and take out cashier was very nice :) read more

Haven't been here in years because the service and food went downhill. They are having a special. Sirloin plus lobster tail plus two sides for $19.99. we decided to give it a try again. We came with our neighbors and they got that also plus a grilled salmon. I must say for the price everything was great. Server was very friendly and nice. Her friend and his mustang convertible was parked across the handicapped ramp and she laughed when we couldn't get our 97 year old to her car in 95 degree heat. So disappointed. I had my heart set on a a nice ribeye med rare.This comes to the table. It was obviously well done.There is no way you can cook something this thin medium rare. The server said they are all like this now. First time I have ever seen a ribeye this thin. It looked like a cube steak. I sent it back and ordered a 6oz filet. They stopped serving prime rib during the week so they could make more during the weekend. Except we get there Friday night at 7 and they're already out of prime rib.. so basically you can't get it during the week or the weekend now and they should just take it off the menu. Oye. It's been a bit since we've been to an Outback, but this will be the last time. 4 out of 4 meals were bad. That's tough to accomplish. Over-seasoned steak can be forgiven, but when did the quality get so bad? None of us could chew through our steaks. Filet, ribeye, or New York strip. Mixed and seasonal veggies were decent, but the mushrooms were like rubber. We were starving going in and ended up having to spit out tendons because we couldn't get through a bite. They are known for their flavorful steaks served in their restaurants (and notoriously long wait times), but I rolled the dice and tries them for delivery - and was thrilled with what I received! My steak was flavorful, cooked to perfection, delivered at the right temperature, and cooked to my requested "medium." Served at my front door - what more can you ask for? The photos don't do it justice. I ordered steamed broccoli and a Caesar salad for my sides. The broccoli was OK, but no flavor. The salad was simple but good. They included a small loaf of bread with my order which was just as yummy as I remember from dining in! Last night we took our cousin to celebrate her birthday. Traditionally we've had good service and hot food. But this time we were there for 1.5 hours. Slow service and cold food--the worse combo in the restaurant business. We didn't want to send the food back for fear of taking longer to make it right. There were 6 of us in the party so not too big. After our meal, we had to get the manager to close our tabs because it took almost 15 minutes "waiting" for our "waiter." I totally would've understood if they were short-staffed. At least tell us. The manager did give us $10 gift cards--but who'd want to go back to that?
