Came to Outback Pompano Beach, shortly after it's grand opening. My husband ordered the ribeye with asparagus, steak was 80% fat and very little meat. The asparagus was soggy and overcooked. I ordered the Alice spring chicken with blue cheese and pecan chopped salad. The chicken was covered in cheese and bacon over thin over cooked chicken filet and the salad was drowning in dressing. Perhaps they were working out the kinks in new restaurant. We were invited to a family birthday dinner another night, table ordered the blooming onion appetizer which was just a greasy pile of onions. Chicken and shrimp pasta dish was mediocre, the shrimp was definitely not fresh. Twisted ribs were breaded and fried and doused with some mystery sauce, the 6oz steak looked like a finger stick. Another member in our group ordered filet mignon-medium and it came out well done, inedible. Strawberry cucumber lemonade had a slice of red onion, we're assuming left over dirty glass. Overall would NOT recommend dining here! Negative star rating if that was an option. read more

Food was amazing. Service was even better. Waitresses Moni Cheri impeccable definitely on point. My biggest pet peeve, ice tea never ran low, never had to ask for a refill. Didn't have to ask for sugar when tea was brought to table!!!! No empty dishes left on table, taken away almost immediately. Proper wait between meal courses. This restaurant is new, not sure why old Outback reviews are on here. Place was crowded for dinner. 5:30 was good time to get a table. Bar was full. Servers were very nice. Nice, yet sloppy. Drinks came out different times. Salad had no dressing, when I mentioned it to server, she said it was inside. Ha. Now that's funny. She brought me the dressing after I showed her it was missing. The blooming onion was over fried. Almost like it was re-fried. Bread with butter was stale. Steak was a cheap sirloin, no wonder they give such great steak knives to cut that. It was tough. Food came out luke warm. You had to eat quickly as it went cold fast. Hubby enjoyed the ribs. I enjoyed the baked potato the best. Now that was good! Bonefish and Carrabas are part of this restaurant group. The Carrabas in Pompano cooks/sells better steaks. Hot food and very good drinks. Managers should try a meal there to know the quality and delivery they should do in this Outback. The servers are much better also. A few looked pretty new here. I will stick to Carrabas. This review is based on sitting at the bar the night before Easter. My friend and I arrived around 5:30 and there was no one else at the bar. The bartender didn't put our food in right. My friend's entree came out first, everything else in random order. I mentioned something to the food runner. They said something to the bartender like, "Again, you didn't key things in properly..." The bartender gave us the stink eye and things went even more downhill after that. As a few others came and sat at the bar I realized the issue seemed to be, we aren't "regulars". We ordered after dinner drinks and most of our dirty dishes remained in front of us until we left. Considering they work for tips it's in their best interest to provide decent service. There were more behaviors that need addressing, but it seems I'd waste my time listing them. Just a shame. read more

Every time I have been to this Outback, we have had a good experience. Once in a while, we don't like something, & they fix it immediately. We've been there at least once , sometimes twice a week since they opened(yes we live close) I don't know what all the whining is about with these other reviews. We were seated near the bar. Very nice service with a relatively full restaurant. The food was really good. The steak and salad was nicely done. Crispy salad and some perfectly cooked steak. Food is very good. Had the sweetest server. Buy i had a bad experience with all the managers, who gather around the bar. A server asked management a question, the managers response was " are you a idiot" These are young servers, working hard. My server got sat 2 tables of 6, 2 tables of 4 and a table of 2, back to back. I owned a restaurant for many years and I am pretty sure that verbally insulting employees is not professional. I am more sure that parents don't send their kids to be talked to like that, especially by a manager. I will get the managers name next time I go in. Corporate will be notified. Over all the food was not good. The bacon on the burger was nearly raw. My cat loves bacon and she would not eat it. The french fries were nearly raw and underdone. I had to put them in the oven to finish cooking them and crip them up. My husband was very disappointed. The french onion soup was very thin and watery, the bread they sent with it was hard and the cheese stuck to the foil so I had to throw it away. Made that experience very unpleasant. My steak was suppose to be medium rare, it was medium and only 4 ounces not the 6 ounces I paid for. Overall, I would not order from you again because the experience was very bad. I will be posting this online, Yelp and Facebook. You need to really step up your game with the fact that what is going on today because good food is going to be your lively hood for quite a while. My boyfriend and I loved Outback it's a special place to us. When they were at the old location it was horrible between the service and the food. I always ordered the steak and it was always over seasoned to the point where you would scrap off a whole pile of it. My boyfriend always got the burger and it was always over cooked(he would order it rare) and the fries would be soggy. Fast forward when they moved locations to the new building we thought it would be different....WRONG! Don't get me wrong the new building is beautiful but the service and food is the same. As I'm sure we all know, Outback is one of the largest of all steakhouse chains seemingly with locations all over the place. Though not a fan of chain anything, I've dined at a lot of them and generally found them to be pretty good. Unfortunately this particular Outback is not one of the better. Though seemingly clean, neat, and well organized I seem to have consistently and always had less than desirable experiences here. They pride themselves on meats done as ordered, even have a nice like colored chart describing exactly what is meant by rare, medium rare, medium, medium well done and so forth. I've been here on three different occasions, on each ordering their ribeye done rare, and on each occasion it has been served somewhere between medium (no red center to it) to medium well done. Though on each occasion my waiter or waitress has inquired about my steak, which I have cut into, shown them and they have offered to take it back, I've declined. Nice of them to ask and offer, but unless the food is inedible I'm not inclined to send anything back. Matter of fact, I'm more inclined to just pay up, consider it a lesson learned, and leave. Also on my visits here I've noted them seem to somehow shifted around as to who your waiter or waitress is and who actually serves, which has twice resulted in the problem of my salad order not being delivered prior to my entrée, which has meant that I've ended up on both occasions having my Caesar side salad after my main course, sort of a being a substitute for what would have been my dessert. Hence in comparing this Outback, not with other competitive steak houses but with other Outback restaurants, Two Stars. read more

Granted it's a holiday but service was crazy slow. My wife ordered a drink that we waited 25 mins for and we had to cancel. Luckily we only ordered an appitizer when we noticed the problem. We had to go to another table to get a silverwarea and napkins.The place was pretty much empty and there was no excuse. Went last week. Was able to 'call ahead' with request for 7 people, at 6. Able to walk in the door, and right to our waiting table, Detrick was our unflappable server. With 3 young kids in tow, he was very accommodatin. went because my husband has been craving a blooming onion, for 2 years, no exaggeration! This is a very poorly run Outback location, seriously where is the management? I have been to this spot several times and usually sit at the bar where I had the chance to observe most of the staff either watching the TVs at the bar or socializing among themselves with out any care for waiting customers. Other than the blond bubbly girl bartender who is very attentive, everyone one else in the staff couldn't have been more unprofessional, she kept asking for someone to help her clear the bucket of dirty dishes that were accumulating and everyone just ignored her and either kept on watching TV or walked away, including a guy that appeared to be a manager. This went on for about the entire hour I was there, I was so frustrated so for her! She was the only one tending to customers, clearing plates dirty glasses, and everyone else completely ignored her request for help. The slacking also takes place in the kitchen because our appetizers took a very long time to come out. I have also been to dinner with my family one night, it was 5 of us and again service was very slow and unresponsive, several of our orders came out wrong and it was just an overall bad experience. Excellent dining experience!!! Restaurant was clean and bright and ambiance was exactly what you would hope for at an outback restaurant. Not a very busy Tuesday night but the entire staff was very attentive and the food, service and experience were spot on! Our server Jason P. was excellent, Jason hit all the marks from his greeting, light conversation, up selling offering appetizers and drinks, informing us about Dine Rewards, order talking and followed up during the meal and he even managed to get us to order a desert to go. He was on task and did a great job. Had a rather nice Mother's Day dinner with wife and kids at this location off Federal Hey. We arrived around 4pm and no wait for party of four, but it was building quickly. Wife and I decided on the Outback Special Sirloin, medium, with house salads, and potatoes. The salads took way too long and wife had to ask for them to make sure they didn't arrive with meals. Waitress forgot the extra dressing, and made quick order to provide after comment. Wife enjoyed the Peach Bellini Mothers Day drink with salad course. The steaks were served as requested however my larger cut appeared no different that wife's. When we got receipt the waitress made error and ordered smaller steak for both. The steaks were delicious and seasoned well. Wife's potato was not served as requested, she decided to keep it, even after waitress noticed it, versus replacement. The kids both chose cheeseburgers and each wanted special potatoes. We were charged 1.25 extra on each and both items came as requested. Not exactly sure a sprinkle of shredded cheese and bacon was worth the markup, but hey whatcha going to do for your kids. It's those little things that were missed and add up quickly to a less than stellar meal. You wonder if server is new or just short minded. I went in recently with my boyfriend & I was a little iffy about it since in the past I had an "alright" experience. I'm not sure if they changed management or just hired better staff but wow every single person we encountered was great. The hostess was able to seat us immediately. Nothing like not having to wait to be seated when your hungry. Am I right?? Our server was on top of everything. We both ordered steaks that came out exactly how we asked. Very flavorful. They have nice steaks especially for the prices they offer. We ordered dessert (the cookie skillet) and it came very quickly and it was nice and hot. It was melting in my mouth, yummy!
