Here's the play by play: App: "The Kookaburra Wings" These were cooked to perfection and were excellently seasoned. Our preferred choice is the medium seasoning. Entrees: "Chimichurri Filet" and "New York Strip" I love a good Chimichurri. The herby and zesty flavor always makes me come back for more. This was a tasty sauce and went very well with my perfectly cooked medium steak. It also My husbands strip was cooked his preferred mid rare as well. Both steaks come with 2 sides and there is a good variety. My filet came with blooming onion petals as well so I could experience one of their signature items. Definitely generous portions. Dessert: "Chocolate Thunder From Down Under" For a chocoholic like me this is always craves my sweet tooth. A soft brownie topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream is so decadent it's always worth it to get every time. Service/Ambiance: We were able to get in right away and our food arrived quickly. Meh. A giant, corporate, chain, conglomerate-esque of a restaurant. Akin to The 99, & etc. Went here the last two years for Easter with my bride, her parents and sister/brother-in-law. They all have exceptionally bland and pale palates so this is right up their alley... except my bride - we're foodies. Both times I had a soup and salad. It's the Ozone at Boston Logan Airport Terminal; everything is seemingly microwaved. The older folks liked it, and it was only a couple of hours on Easter. Company = good. Food = mediocrity at its finest. Service was good, nothing bad or stellar. Ambiance... meh, it is what it is. Caveat emptor. read more

Craving protein after a long day with no lunch, while in the area, I decided on The Outback as (usually) a safe bet. I definitely was wrong about the safe bet! The restaurant was near empty at 6:30 pm. Not a good sign. I asked to sit in the bar area, and sat in one of the booths. Fortunately, I ordered a grilled chicken and sirloin combo, as without the chicken, there would not have been anything edible! The tossed was very, very sad. Much of the lettuce was old and orange, the cucumbers were shaved super thin, and it was clear that this "salad" was made a long time earlier, as the cucumbers had lost all moisture. The few grape tomatoes bore the signs (dry, with wrinkled skin) that they should have been tossed out. I ate about 20% of the salad and declared it hopeless. The entree arrived with a very small portion of grilled chicken breast. Nothing special, but it vastly surpassed the steak, most of which was inedible. I tried every "approach" to the sirloin, but it didn't matter--each time the gristle made the steak as chewy as old chewing gum. In fact, the sautéed mushrooms effectively became my $38 dinner entree, along with 4 bites of bland chicken breast. The glass of pinot noir was also underwhelming. The lack of patrons was an obvious indication that this is NOT A GOOD RESTAURANT, and the service (my waiter essentially would throw the food(?) onto the table and then scuttle off. I am guessing he was accustomed to frequent complaints and this was his attempt to avoid my disappointment) and repulsive food gave all the warning signs of a location far into its death throes. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. While their current 3.5-star rating feels accurate overall, they're doing everything right. Outback is prawly my fav among "The Big 3" (Texas Roadhouse, Longhorn, Outback). The menu is the most biggest and diverse. Let's get into some deets: Mind you, these Big 3 are all "anti-high-end steakhouses" and they are just that. No supreme service, dapper staff or clientele or prime-cut meats. You get what you get and you are often at the whim of many peccadillos, to put it lightly. This evening I ordered a Blue Moon beer and my One ordered Prime Rib and we both ordered the new Jaws Cocktail with toy shark. But we come to discover that they ain't got none. None of them -all three items out of stock. Also, the waitress delivered the bread board to our booth, but no bread was on it -oops! You get what you get -or don't get... She did notice this peccadillo and rectified it. The bread is baked in-house and is very good. Now for the positive: The waitress was wicked nice and the food was very good (for what it is). I got The Special which was a six-ounce Sirloin with a 16-ounce beer and Aussie Fries (seasoned with some sort of down-under spice) for 13.99 dollars (a.k.a., 14 dollars). The steak was teenie AF but was actually very yum-O and tender too. My One got the Filet and the Baked and Brocklee. All well made and tasty too and she got the Coconut Shrimp which was (were?) good. The coup de gras was the Pina Koala (a play on words) and the Bloomin' Onion which is junk-food heaven. The Pina had an edible logo design in the drink which was fun and festive AF and "only" 7 bucks. The BO is to die for and HIGHLY recommended. So here we are in the Stoughton MA for a night looking for food. When I don't have a customer dinner I usually order pizza delivery to my hotel room. But in. This area there is very limited that come to this hotel. So after searching I chose to go to Outback for I have not been to one in a while. I showed up at 4:45pm and the hostess was not at the front to see where I would like to sit. She did show up fairly quickly. That was the fastest service I received. I sat at the bar for it was only myself and for the most part service is fast at the bar. Boy was I wrong about that here. I sat there for 15 minutes before anyone came to me. Once they did they asked what I would like to drink and after telling them I would have a coke the gentleman walked away. Five minutes later still no drink. It took a person that just came on to get me my drink. She just came on when I was sat. She asked me if I would like bread and took my order see photos. No one checked on me to see if everything was good till I was done. The food was OK but not like what I have had at other of this brands locations. But the service I would say they need training on customer service. I am a professional sales person and customer service is everything. But from what I could see the staff was more interested in talking with each other than taking care of customers. This seems to be a trend in several establishments post COVID. Had a great dinner and experience tonight at Outback Steakhouse (Randolph, MA)! Service was wonderful throughout the meal thanks to Joyce, our server, who is truly the model of perfect service! She was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. She expertly answered our questions about the menu. My son and I both ordered the bone-in ribeye dinner with 2 sides, in my case baked potato and seasonal veggies (sautéed broccoli). The steak was juicy, delicious, and large! I ate half and brought the rest home. It was well-seasoned and cooked exactly as I ordered. I changed my mind about how I wanted it cooked a few minutes after I ordered and Joyce ran to change the order before it was cooked. I really appreciated that extra effort. The ambiance in the restaurant was nice and warm, and there was no wait. When I come back to town, we will come back and ask for Joyce to serve us. Thank you! read more

Staff was very kind, however they could heavily work on quality control. It seems to me that they have borderline incompetent chefs or issues communicating in the back. I ordered an 8oz fillet-mignon medium rare. From the moment I cut into it; it was bleeding and was basically still MOOING while on MY plate. My steak was literally beet red inside. I cannot make this up. My poor waitress then had to get it cooked more. I kid you not, it was warm, but it was literally the exact same as it was before. Whew! The love/ hate relationship with this location. I love outback food but this location had been lacking but last night I went & it was a much better experience! We sat at the bar because the dining room seemed very busy, and there was only one person at the bar. Jojo made our visit a million times better than the last few times I have been here in the past month. My food was hot & correct. The only con was they were out of the 3 cheese steak dip & the broccoli seemed old. Jojo made sure to get me another baked potato as a replacement. The ribs were amazing!! Like, I didn't expect them to be that good. The manager Ricky explained the process of cooking them to me, and wow! Jojo recommended that I try the ribs with tobacco sauce (just a little) & I was hesitant but with extra bbq sauce and the tobasco, man listen!!!!! I had spoked to Ricky previously when I had a bad experience and he made sure to rectify the situation. So I wanted to thank him in person last night as well. He's definitely working on making that outback 5 stars. I asked for my wings to be well done, and they cooked them thangs to a crisp lol. My family came in on Wednesday night, we were a party of 13....yes, I'm 1000% completely aware that it's a large party and not all restaurants are staffed mid week to accommodate a large party. When we arrived the host had to ask her manager, she came back and said they could seat us in 30 minutes - we waited 25 minutes and they the host said they couldn't take us . It's more upsetting that they said they could, we waited and then they couldn't ‍ If we didn't have kids it would have been a "whatever " but with kids 30 minutes is a long time, time we could have gone and waited somewhere else that could have sat us. read more

So the food was blah, my steak was over cooked twice but the service from Nahel and Joe made it not as bad. We visited this spot a few times and the basic food is always ok for a close to home meal. There was a bit of a wait to be seated, that was fine... What was not fine was the extremely LONG wait for our food. We put in our order, 30+ mins goes by and we did not even get our apps. We love the outback probably go 2 times a month. The sirloin is always cooked to perfection and if it's not they will fix it or offer you something to make up for it. We always get the bushman shrooms. Only thing is food comes out very fast which is good but we tell our server to wait a few minutes after we get our appetizer to put in food. I ordered a pick up order and although the curbside pick up is kind of confusing; my order was on time. I ordered over $50 worth of food and everything was good, except their well renowned Onion Blossom. Hence the reason for a 3 star rating. It was burnt and extremely salty. I couldn't eat it all. I actually ate about 15% of it because I couldn't take how salty and burnt it was. I was looking forward to this the most out of all things I ordered as I always order this when I come here. This was my first time at the Outback and it was a good experience. It was weird dining in with COVID19 but the place looked well maintained and sanitized. They closed off some tables to provide the footage for social distancing. All staff wore masks and I saw them disinfect tables. To start, they gave us pumpernickel bread whichw as warm and delicious with the butter. I ordered the ribeye steak medium rare with a side of Mac and cheese and a Caesar salad. My boyfriend ordered the chicken breast and ribs. When the steak came out it was more pink and red than I am used to for medium rare and the server took it back for them to throw it back on grill. It came out perfect after and was delicious. They also gave me another Mac and cheese which I didn't ask for but was nice of them! My boyfriend liked his ribs and chicken. I tried the chicken which was a tad dry but had good flavors. The Caesar salad was good too. Even though we were full, we opted for the warmed brownie dessert which was topped with ice cream. It was a nice end to our meal but I wasn't a fan of the shavings. It had a weird taste that I am not used to. Overall, I liked my meal and would be back.
