I saw an ad on TV, 4 steak in 3 or 4 shrimp. I checked out the Randolph Outback. Sort advertised, there went to the Outback. They never heard of it. They says, that's we don't offer that special. I give it 2 stars for the food, only because the waitress was not there to work. We were there last night, 3 of us. Julia the waitress took our order. We started with my daughter and I getting salads and Hubby got soup. The salads came, but not the soup. About 15 minutes later, we had to ask another waitress for the soup. I don't understand why she wasn't around, there were only 5 tables with customers, the place was dead, and she only had 2 tables, us and the couple behind us. Our dinners came 15 minutes later by a bus girl that apologized several times for the waitress, after we complained a bit to her. Needless to say, complaining did nothing. Julia never came back to the table until I called the other waitress over again and asked her what was up with our waitress being invisible, and the lady sitting behind us, turned around and said ditto! She was annoyed as much as we were. So the other waitress went and got her. We had desert that came with the meal deal, and she shows up with just one, and I asked her what happened to the other deserts, and she was clueless. I said they were 3 course meals, and you only brought one desert. I told her we wanted coffee with it, and she walked away with the one desert she put on the table. It took for ever to get the coffee, by the bus girl, and then after we finished the coffee, the buss girl came back with one desert on a plate and one in a togo bag, like WTH! I scraped the other desert in the togo box and waited a long time for the check. The bill was $100 and I generously left her an $8 dollar tip and some advice on the back of the check. Went to this Outback on December 10, 2022 and had a terrible experience. The service was super slow. It took over 2 hours in total for dinner for a party of five. Our food server had too many tables to handle. Two people at our table ordered ribeye steaks. They were served completely cold. One steak was seasoned while the other was not. Also, the two steaks looked different. One was probably the center-cut sirloin and not the ribeye. Two of the other dishes also came out cold from the kitchen. What a waste of $142 for this meal. We alerted our server but there was not much he could do regarding heating the steaks. We ordered dessert and after a long wait, we were told they ran out. When we were getting ready to leave, the desserts came out because apparently they had more after all. At this point we did not want the dessert but had to take them anyway. I contacted Outback online after this experience and nobody has reached out in the last 19 days. So I assume they do not care about customer satisfaction. We just came out for drinks and light bites, so we got a delicious Bloomin' Fried Shrimp along with the Tim Tam Brownie Cake and famous JAWsie drink. I have been to the Randolph Outback many times and always was very satisfied with my meals an service. First, this day 6/19/24, the A/C wasn't working and we didn't realize until we started to order. My steak was cooked the way I like it, but definately to much seasoning. The server was fine. My preferred OS is the one at Assembly Row, Somerville, MA. The restaurant looks upscale and the steaks come out to satisfy. Uh huh, nice and juicy I like mine medium...yum! The service is terrific and the drinks are bomb diggity! I came to the Randolph location with family on Friday evening 10/8, and quite frankly, I'm not sure I'll ever return to another Outback EVER! There were 3 of us including a 13 y.o. Here's our experience... Seated immediately - 5 stars Seated at a dirty table for 6 people and we moved ourselves to a cleaner looking 4 person table - 1 Star Ambience - 1 Star...the place had a cafeteria vibe Water - 0 stars. 1 glass had food stuck on it so we each left our water alone. Drinks - 0 stars. It took 20 minutes for a fruity martini, raspberry/lime cocktail and both tasted like pure juice. Tini was sent back and replaced with more... juice!? Apps - 2 stars. 45 minutes before we saw our salty wings, and overcooked blooming soggy onion. They were both piping hot and we were starving so that sometimes lowers the bar for acceptable eats. Cesar and garden side salads - 5 stars as you can't mess this up unless you're deliberately trying. Medium well burger and fries - 1 Star because although the burger was overcooked to way past well done, the fries were ok overcooked and very crunchy. I always like my fries extra crunchy, but since I did not order them, who cares that I like half burnt fries!? 2, medium 18oz. bone-in ribeye steaks w/loaded baked potatoes, hold the bacon - 0 stars since it took over an hour and we received 2 medium well, dried out hockey pucks. The baked potatoes had bacon and I don't eat pork. Manager - 2 stars. She removed the steak dinners, but nothing else even though we returned a drink and the burnt hamburger. We had to request the drink and burger to be removed. She did it eventually, but we still paid for the apps and 2 drinks. Her additional offer was dessert on the house. Grrrr...no thanks! Total bill $35 including tip $42 - 0 stars. I left a tip only because our server was new. He forgot our utensils and napkins and we had to flag him down so we could eat our apps. He looked pretty helpless overall, but I felt he demonstrated courage when coming to the table to see how we were doing even though I'm sure it showed in our facial expressions. The restaurant was practically empty, yet sat us next to the bathrooms. And not only did we get the worst seat in the house, we got to listen to the staff hanging out together with Uber Eats driver for our whole meal. The food was ok, except for a burnt steak which was supposed to be the centerpiece of the meal. The cleanliness of the space was not great. Every surface was greasy and sticky and there were mouse droppings in the bathroom. Did I speak up? No, I did not. Sometimes you just want to eat and get home when you're traveling. But if you are traveling, you might want to spend your dollars at a local restaurant instead of this poor representation of this chain. Please note that the waitstaff was excellent. Oh as I am writing the first part of this review another waitress appears she is the only waitress for the second side .. and they are gossiping about customers while other customers are sitting there... ...
