Lunch on a Thursday. Food and service was better than anticipated. My steak was cooked perfectly

Last minute Date night and searching for nice juicy steak. Decided to try the Longhorn Steakhouse in Pembroke. What a delightful surprise. Or experience surpassed our expectations. To our surprise, everything was perfect except a little bit of wait time. But is all well worth it. The restaurant does not accept reservations but you can call ahead and put your name on the waitlist from their website. Then you will get a text when to expect to be seated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was packed with people waiting for a table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We walked in and was seated as our name was called from the waitlist. The hostesses were friendly, polite and professional. Once seated, our waitress, Taryn S. Came by and took our order. Taryn was awesome! Attentive, courteous, polite, friendly and efficient. As busy as it was, she filled our glasses and refills for drinks. Food was served and she was there checking up on us as well as the food server. Food was fresh, perfectly seasoned and prepared, true temp and absolutely delicious. Ordered the Outlaw ribeye with mash potatoes and asparagus and wife ordered the Flo's filet. The service, the food and drinks were so good, we both thought we were at a high end steakhouse but without the high end price tag. Highly recommend. Definitely coming back and indulging on the other items on the menu. read more

Every time we come here, we are never disappointed. Salads are crisp and fresh baked potato is piping. Hot vegetables are delicious and the steaks are exactly as you like them and it's extremely reasonable. read more

3 of us Went to lunch with a gift card. We started out with the onion blossom that had so much salt and pepper on it that it was inedible. We told our waitress who couldn't have been any nicer, she said I'll have them make you a new one. Which was excellent. I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Chicken which was salty. My two guest had a hamburger and said that the fries were so salty she couldn't eat them. The other guest had ribs which said they were delicious. As much as we didn't like our food our waitress was very good. We left her a generous tip. But we won't return. The person doing the seasoning ruined the food! read more

We decided on the Longhorn for a little lunch on a rainy day.. we both had a hankering for beef so I ordered their ground steak with sautéed mushrooms and onions and delicious brown gravy and my side was steamed broccoli.. he had the house cheeseburger with wonderful fries. Both meats were perfectly cooked to medium rare. Rob was our server and he was just great. Checked on us just enough times to not bug us! All in all it was just what we wanted for lunch. Absolute must order: - Mashed potatoes. They come with melted butter sitting in the little "hole" that usually has gravy at lots of other restaurants. The melted butter spilling over the mashed potatoes is DIVINE. So so good. - A side of Mac and cheese ended up being filling enough to be my whole meal with the side of mashed potatoes. SO delicious. Creamy, cheesy, piping hot, and it comes with bits of bacon but I didn't get the bacon on mine only because I personally don't like bacon. Although if you're into bacon, I would imagine it makes the mac and cheese that much better - The bread and butter given to our table before we ordered was fresh and delicious. We were seated nearly immediately after we arrived but the service was just a little slow when it came to receiving our food after we ordered, and waiting to pay at the end. We weren't in any rush so this wasn't that big of a deal at all, just something we noticed. :) read more

We've eaten here a bunch of times and consistently have decent food, especially for a restaurant chain. The steaks are always good, Texas Tonion as an appetizer is a crowd pleaser, as is the bread. Service is always very good and the location is convenient - close to other shopping and the highway. read more

Server was no where to be found, when she did come over she was upset that we were wasting her time. She was too interested in talking too the group of people at another table than she was with taking our order . When we finally received our food French fries,cold broccoli cold and steak was tough and cold. All and all just terrible food and service !!!! read more

My family goes to Longhorn fairly regularly, the Pembroke location most often. We've always been happy with the food and service. Last night, my family took me there for my birthday and we'd ordered wings for an appetizer and they didn't come out before the meal. We said it was no big deal, just to cancel the order and didn't give it another thought. Not only did they give us an order of wings to go at no charge, they also comped my meal as well, AND gave me a birthday card (they must have overheard our birthday toast). They really went above and beyond taking care of us. We liked the restaurant and location before, but they now have even more loyal customers. read more

The service was okay, food subpar. There was hair in my daughter's food and also in mines. I did not make a big deal out of it nor, I request to speak with the manager. I just didn't finish my meal and will most likely won't eat at their restaurants again. They did not have the steak I asked for even though they are a steakhouse. The steak had no flavor and was not cooked how I asked. Some of us colored people understand a thing or two about food. At the end of the day, I left them a generous tip to show that a book shouldn't be judged by its cover. The 2 stars are for the waiter they gave us. read more

My experience at the Longhorn in the past has always been very good until the other day I went to lunch with seven friends I ordered a medium rare sirloin and it came out well done. I had to send it back and it took almost a half hour before my steak came back to the table. My friends were finished eating. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager came out I explained to her the story of my steak. She said we're cooking you a new one and I just dropped it. The waitress came back to the table and offered everybody a free dessert at that point. I stopped eating. Everybody else was done with their entrées and I took my meal home. first time diner here and called before to ask a question. With the answer I received we decided to grab lunch before 3. Sat down and got settled and our waitress was pleasant but there was a slight issue and the Manager arrived and bottom line she was outstandingly pleasant and understanding! So, I want to Thank Her for her professionalism and our lunch proceeded well! The food was done perfectly and tasty. So, for those ever have a question or issue always ask for the Manager. I came here for lunch not too long ago. I was greeted upon entering the restaurant and was seated right away. My waitress came by my table shortly to get my drink order and to give me some time to look over the menu. I decided to go with the chicken fingers with french fries for lunch. And I am glad I went with that choice because it was very delicious. The food did not take very long at all to arrive to my table. So the people working in the kitchen were very fast at getting food orders prepared. The restaurant was clean and the restroom was also immaculate. I hope to make a return visit very soon. read more

I wish I remembered our servers name she was very attentive which has been rare at a lot of places lately. The food was just as good as it always is. I always get the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer and I highly recommend. For entree I usually get a ribeye but decided to get the Parmesan chicken and that didn't disappoint either. If they were running out they should have walked across the parking lot to the Stop n Shop and bought some to restock, at least temporarily. The steak, while cooked to the ordered temperature, was a little charred on the outside- not sure how that happened. Also there was a screw up with the pay at the table QR code. The code at our table was for someone else and someone paid our check - or that's what they thought. Not a good system. It delayed our departure as they tried to figure it out. read more

Steak tips were fabulous and very tender. There was no rushing with the meal. Staff was very good with bringing food to our table.

Everything is great for takeout service except for the packaging. The pack does not work anymore. They're all defective. They gotta fix that other than that. I give a five star. read more

Ordered a NY strip medium rare and was served raw meat. Sent it back and it came back red/rare. Sent it back a third time and it was well done, dry and chewy. Our waitress spilled a drink on a man's back at a table nearby. But my recent visit was not, short staffed, food not cooked to order ( steak order med , came out med rare) baked potato ordered with extra sides were missing, side order of grilled mushrooms were over cooked. The server did a great job. She brought out drinks and bread right away. I ordered some sweet and spicy chicken tenders as an app and they came out lickety split. Tasty too. They have some nice lunch specials. I would avoid the shrimp and lobster soup though. I knew it sounded too good to be true. Definitely mediocre. But the burger was really good. Hard to argue with the value of the meal. In retrospect, a salad would have been better instead of soup. I would come back though. read more

Oh dang, the steakhouse that polished up its ambiance left the upgrades on the walls. LongHorn Old Fashioned was mostly soda water and bitters, with a bad maraschino in place of the promised amarena cherry. For $13? Never again. The Renegade sirloin (allegedly 8oz but awfully meager) was way overcooked. We were on toddler time, so when the server asked about the temp on the cut a bit late on an already long ticket time, I shared and showed a very medium well steak on a mid-rare request. She instantly acknowledged and offered a comp dessert, so that was nice. Not a sweets guy, so I refused, she apologized and that was end of restitution. Warm loaf at the start and the side Caesar salad accompanying the sirloin were decent. Ample parking? Nothing has us wanting to go back anytime soon. read more

Food was good, drinks are extremely weak. Came back from a long trip and wanted to treat ourselves to a steak and an adult beverage. I ordered a top shelf Long Island ice tea. Figured I can go wrong with that one. It was basically a glass of sour mix on ice. My wife was drinking a margarita which looked decent so I ordered the large Don Julio margarita. Again it was very weak. I tasted her's and weak. I thought it strange the bar tender didn't make the drinks in front of us but went into the back room. Being a bit over tired I paid the bill and left. Half the bill was the drinks. Just for the heck of it when we got home I blew into this breathalyzer I have. By all rights it should have been up there considering what I just drank. I blew a .03. I was going to let it go but today decided to have a conversation with the manager (Eric). He told me all bar tenders are trained on how to pour and everything is measured. In other words he wasn't going to do a thing about it. I really feel like I got screwed which is why I'm taking the time to write this. I did put in a complaint to corporate via a web form. I have this feeling they won't care either. If they do care and make good on it I will update this review. Being self employed I care about repeat business but I'm noticing customer service out there nowadays is really slipping. I'll give my hard earned dollars to businesses that appreciate my business and will give you your moneys worth. 2/21/22 I have emailed you all to the specified email. Please acknowledge you received it. My wife figured it out with a chart based on drink type, and weight. According to the chart I should have blown .097. That's a far cry from .03. Ordered a Flo's filet medium . When it came I noticed it was about 1/2 of an inch thick and kinda small. Then I couldn't get my steak knife to cut through it without exserting max effort. Took a bite, and flavor was weak and was like chewing Mules ass . It was on the rare side, blood red center. AWFUL! I remember when it was great 10 yrs ago and the server would't leave till you cut it open and approved. Now the server runs away cause they know it's NFG .I wont be back . they are not steak tips.They just take steak and cut it into pieces. Steak tips had no flavor. Fries where hot and crispy but to much salt. Thank goodness I had a gift card. There are many more better steak places. read more

We have been to this location 3 times and it's amazing. We think Aaron the Bartender is so nice and the right mix of friendly yet professional. Listens and gets it right every time !! But my steak..... by far one of the best I've ever had. Keep it up please! read more

Gotta love a good steakhouse! Longhorn in Pembroke, Ma has it! The staff are very friendly, the food presentation is very good. The food itself is delicious! I recently had a lunch combo of a cheese burger and baked potato soup. The soup was delicious, but could have been a bit thicker. The burger was cooked exactly how i asked! So if you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend The Longhorn! read more
