We have been customers of Outback Steakhouse for many years, and over the past year we've been visiting the Roseville location. Our most recent visit was outstanding. Our server, Jolene, was exceptional. She was friendly, attentive, and efficient, and she did a great job anticipating our needs and staying in sync with our table throughout the meal. The food was served hot, was absolutely delicious, and met the consistent quality we've come to expect from Outback. Kudos to Jolene and the entire staff for making our visit so enjoyable. We had dinner tonight. My wife wanted prime rib and it was on the menu saying served after 4:00 p.m. during the week. When she tried to order it we were told that that doesn't start until next week. That was pretty disappointing. I ordered bacon mac and cheese as a side for my meal, and to put it nicely, it sucked I will say my steak was cooked amazingly. Our server, jolene, was definitely on top of her game. And she happened to remember my special needs daughter from high school. Which was awesome.. We ordered three drinks. Only two came out. So we had to ask about the Third one. Which had nothing to do with our server. read more

I feel like this place is over priced for quality and service. We came in because my husband kept hearing a radio advertisement and couldn't resist but it was very disappointing. They have a huge restaurant but diners are only seated in the bar. The service was very slow and unenthusiastic even though the staff outnumbered the guests by a mile. The food was okay but not for the price- They have a $10 dinner to go. You can order if you're eating in the restaurant and I thought that might be the saving grace.- but sadly, the food was so dry. I feel like it must've been a couple days old. The steak and shrimp pasta was extremely fishy, the blooming onion was a greasy mess. The dinner side salad was missing toppings, the entree salad had entirely too much dressing and was soggy. I don't even think I would be willing to give it another shot because I just think it's past their prime and they're struggling to keep up with current costs. We started with the Tasmanian Chili, which was surprisingly one of my favorite parts of the meal. It was more satisfying than your average chili. Even went home and tried a copycat recipe (not the same but good). We also ordered the steak and ribs combo with a baked potato and broccoli on the side. The steak was cooked medium rare and could not have been cooked any better. It was tender and juicy! The ribs were flavorful and fell right off the bone. Outback has LEVELED UP!!! I've been coming here for years to celebrate birthdays with family & this evening was different. Our food was by far the best I've ever had from outback. I have had a $50 gift card burning a hole in my pocket for probably about 8 years for this place and finally thought to go. It probably has been at least ten years since I been to a an Outback. Came here hangry for a late lunch today on Wednesday and arrived around 2pm. We stood at the front for little while with nobody around to greet or seat or answer the incessant ringing of the telephone. It was a awkward moment where I considered walking out. They are famous for their blooming onion so we had to get that. It was large and tasty but half way through, it was a bit too much of the same taste. Definitely large enough for 4 as we couldn't finish it. Got the boomerang mozzarella sticks and those were surprisingly good. Flakey on the outside and gooey on the inside. The prices for an entree were REALLY high... $35+ so opted for a $17.99 steak sandwich and I got the steak lunch for $13.99 that came with one side. Both were just alright. Hubs didn't finish his. Said it didn't have much flavor. Mine was not memorable at all. Even Sizzler has a better steak. Our waitress was very kind but overworked. She had 6 tables for a total of 20 people? She was running around like a nut but managed the best she could. The whole place was understaffed. Our lunch was $80 after tip. For all the places to eat, this was not a good value or experience. I would rather go to Cattlemens for that price or even Buckhorn grill and get the tastiest tri tip ever. We will not be back. Overall the restaurant was fine. The building has seen some better days and has been in Roseville forever. I have been to this restaurant many times over the years and they are very consistent which is what one would expect from a chain restaurant. Lobster was great and they made the meat easy to get to. Waiter was friendly and dealt with the chaos of how my family tries to communicate well. The broccoli was seasoned perfectly. It made it quite edible. All the potato products were good. No complaints on the meat. Some items that were supposed to come out with the plates were missed and our waiter caught it and made it right. Ambiance was a bit dark and not in the fancy restaurant kind of way, more like the creepy gas station kind of way. We had a reservation but still ended up waiting 25 minutes. Overall most things were fine. I will likely be back but only if somebody gives me gift cards for the place because if I'm dropping $200 I have other restaurants in mind. read more

My wife and I come here frequently on the weekend or Friday nights. We always sit at the bar and order dinner. Todd is one of the bartenders and he is a rockstar. Super accommodating and always very friendly. He picked up the slack from the other bartender who was super lazy and who was only focused on her friends that came in. Cheers to Todd!! visited Outback Steakhouse to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was a bit disappointing. While our server was friendly and personable, the service itself fell short. We never received the complimentary bread that other tables around us were given, and I was never asked if I wanted a refill on my soda or offered another beer. It felt like we were somewhat overlooked during the visit, which was especially disheartening on a day meant to feel special. That said, the food was great--everything we ordered was delicious and cooked perfectly. I usually enjoy dining at Outback, and while the food didn't disappoint, I hope the service is more attentive next time. So sad to see shrink-flation happen here, with the appetizer of all things! Coconut shrimp used to be 8 pieces, now it's 6 ~ and they raised the price! I spent $19 for 6 shrimp. That makes me stupid. It won't happen again! Now let's get to their online ordering page. This is a common occurrence with many businesses, but Outback is sneaky. When you're finished ordering and you scroll down to pay, there is a greyed out area for tips, and it's automatically filled in for $5. They expect you to miss this, so please pay attention. Tips are for sit-down service, and you decide how much it will be based on how good your service was. Am I right? So I paid you in exchange for food. Nothing else. Why would I leave a tip? You should be thankful I chose your business to patronize, especially when you reduce the amount of food while raising the price! Don't try and sneak it on me from your website! I enjoy dining at this Outback Steakhouse whenever I am in the Roseville area. I like sitting in the bar area and often get decent service when I go. Whenever I do go here, I notice that the restaurant is clean inside and around the building. The women's restroom is also kept up. We always love the ribeye and prime rib here. We were quoted a 20 min wait on Sunday night but found a nice booth at the bar area, so we were able to sit right away. Noticed there was a whole section of empty tables while there was a lobby full of waiting customers, so I guess they are short staffed. Not sure if that's just tonight or an ongoing issue. Had a great dinner. Ribeye was a little overcooked (I asked for medium but it was well done) but it tasted ok. Seems smaller and thinner than ribeyes at Outback in the past. Had lunch here today with family, and unfortunately it was kind of a mess. First it took forever for anyone to even acknowledge us after we were seated. The place wasn't busy at all, but we just sat there awkwardly for way too long before our server finally showed up. She seemed nice at first, but that was about the high point of the service. Second, there was a massive chunk of salad stalk in our salad. Then, in my wife's salad, we found something that straight-up looked like a cross between a mushroom and a booger. Not even joking. It was slimy and greenish and sitting right on top--immediate appetite killer. Meanwhile, the Bloomin' Onion we ordered was the tiniest one I've ever seen (and I've had my fair share), and they forgot the onions on my kid's burger. Which is kind of impressive, when you think about it. To top things off, our server told us twice that she'd bring us the complimentary bread, and it just... never came. At that point, we didn't even bother asking again. The checkout system is also unnecessarily complicated. We wanted to split the check between us and my wife's family--but the table kiosk only lets you split by cost, 50/50, or evenly two/three ways. That's fine if you're a group sharing everything, but not when you've ordered totally separate items. Other places make it easy to split by item--this felt like rocket science for no reason. Could've been a decent meal (and other than what I've already mentioned, it was delicious!), but the weird service, bad execution, and mystery mucus-like snot nugget in the salad made this a hard pass for next time. read more

We came hungry on New Years Day and were seated promptly. The service staff were all supportive and friendly: let's just say they took good care of us. The potato soup is BOMB! Definitely something to try. I had a cup as a starter, before my salad came out. My grandson LOVED his chicken strips & fries! My daughter was happy with her lunch soup & salad combo. The only things that needed to handled differently was 1. my son-in-law did not have anything for quite a while and he needed to get a few more things done before the day was over. 2. Not only because of how delicious it was, but how good the cooks did! Good is an understatement... it was excellent! My man surprised me and had ordered takeout online. He said it fast and simple and they have a rewards program when you order food from here. He ordered us each the Victoria Filet Mignon and Lobster with a baked potato. When I got home from work, he surprised me with dinner on the table, set up with candles, all decorated with rose petals, birthday confetti, cute little gift boxes, a colored theme... I mean, damn he went the above and beyond making my day so special.. no one has ever done it on this level! Let me just tell you how amazing my dinner was... this was the most tender filet mignon I have ever had from a restaurant. It was cooked to a perfect medium-rare. Each bite danced with delicious flavors on my tongue. The lobster, although not as big as we hoped, had perfect flavor. You almost didn't even need the butter! And does anyone else realize they have the best baked potatoes around? So delicious! I want to recognize Courtland at Outback Steakhouse in the to-go area. She threw in ice cream sundae's for us and wrote happy birthday on the containers. How the heck have I not seen how good Outback Steakhouse has been over the years? The staff provided inaccurate information regarding the menu--specials that are still displayed online have already been taken down or are 'about to be taken down,' leading to significant confusion. It was evident that the new staff were not adequately trained or informed about the menu or the forthcoming changes. The service was lacking in coordination and professionalism, and overall, the experience did not meet my expectations. Speaking with the manager also did not solve anything besides confirming that the server was newer and lacked the knowledge of this menu item that displayed online and how items should be selected. 1 starter, 1 entree and side, and desert (cheese). Regrettably, this visit left a negative impression, and I would not choose to dine here again, especially since I am not a picky eater. It was definitely a one-star experience. read more

After decades of not dining at Outback when living elsewhere, decided to try the one in Roseville before, as rumor spreads, may end up a casualty of shutting down along with many others nationwide. Went yesterday, Apr. 6, '26, between 1-2:15pm, Table 2. Best part of the late lunch was the fabulous server Eve and her other serving colleague. But I suspect I was given a low grade sirloin passing for a rib eye steak. I have dined from mid range to very upscale steakhouses and usually ordered rib eye for decades, thus I do know the best to adequate quality rib eye. I think the kitchen cook and management hustled a sirloin hoping I would be too naive to notice the difference. If I were the manager, I would verify if either the meat vendor source or kitchen crew took a short cut at my expense, because I ordered a 13 oz. boneless rib eye steak and it tasted more like a B grade sirloin, with no seasoning, not even a sprinkle of salt, very bland, dry, not juicy, mealy grain texture. Aside from the sides which I liked, I came for the meat and very disappointed. If in the area again and just want certain sides which most restaurants do not include as an entire whole baked potato, a generous crispy wedge cut lettuce, well seasoned crispy crusted sliced onions and a very chocolaty large slice of cake, it is not to be my return destination for meat at any price. I took most of the steak home, instead of demanding proof I paid for a rib eye. I can use the meat later with scrambled eggs, or salad or sandwich. I had a chance to score just the meat three stars, but clicked a four star on their table top device mainly to help maintain good scores on behalf of the employees, not for the corporations failing to monitor consistent quality. The other steakhouse which has either very inconsistent or lower quality beef steaks due to inadequate preparation or bad meat suppliers is also Cattleman's. I never expect the best or next to best from restaurants not claiming to be steakhouses, but I have had better in those types of restaurants even in Roseville, which is gradually emerging as potential dining mecca with newer upscale restaurants opening every year. But a few long term chains are increasing prices while hustling lesser quality and increasingly outsourced menu items. I am single, hate to do any at home cooking, and prefer to eat out. But being an admitted carnivore, I will be forced to learn how to grill premium quality meats at home. I prefer to eat out, but paying for mediocre prepared steaks is not worth the effort. read more

Meat was tender, potatoes outstanding with all the fixens and the broccoli was cook to perfection! The prim rib sandwich had great flavor and mushrooms made the dish pop! Now toooo my burger, it tasted like a mustard hamburger way tooooo much mustard! The mustard took all of the flavor from the bacon and hamburger ! So it tasted no bueno! The bacon was limping along like an old man without viagra! The Fries were ok but I could y get over the mustard!
