Worst steak I've ever had. It was the leanest, toughest mineraly tasting steak I've ever had. It wasn't char grilled like I asked and wS over salted. All our sides were missing and 15-20 minutes after we ordered two people were informed they didn't have the sides they ordered. My wife got salmon and didn't like it, my sister got bbq chicken that looked small and baked with a side of bbq sauce. My niece got a salad with filet which she seemed happy with. My sister my wife and I all had upset stomachs the next day, nothing serious. We were there for close to two hours and got no desert or cocktails or appetizers just entrees. I contacted their customer service and was told I received compensation but never did. I didn't even tell them any specifics they said the regional manager would contact me and then some other person but no one ever did. Never eating there again read more

My husband took me out for a birthday dinner at this Outback. We have had mostly good meals here in the past. His dinner was okay, and mine was not very good. A very dry bit of chicken breast, a baked potato with too much salt on the skin. The salad and bread were great. My husband's steak was undercooked and tough, although he loved it. Not up to their usual standard on the sirlion, IMO. In the past I have also had a burger that was dressed badly (shredded onions and lettuce on the burger that I couldn't completely remove, I do not like raw onions or shredded lettuce on my burger) and I have also had a Caesar salad that was stale wilted white lettuce drowned in dressing to hide the old lettuce, yuck. I forgot to ask them to serve the dressing on the side. My husband thinks the place is perfect, but I have not always had perfect meals here. The service and the ambience are always great. It is not noisy, the lighting is intimate, and the food arrives quickly. We went to Outback on 4th St in St Petersburg this week to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was a delightful night with wonderful service and food. I ordered the Rockport Ribeye, 13 Oz of very tender and favorable steak. I always love Outbacks baked potatoes and fresh salads ( the best blue cheese dressing anywhere) so they were my sides. The birthday boy ordered a Bone in Ribeye. I think it was 20 oz. He said his was very tender and juicy, melted in his mouth. He had the same sides I did but he loves their honey mustard salad dressing. We did not have room for dessert, maybe we ate too much of their delicious bread. All and all it was a great night. The Outback has always been one of our favorite places for steaks and ribs. read more

The service is great and the manager Bryce stopped by to check on us because it was pouring rain when we arrived and he went out of his way to comfort us and provide every accommodation possible including a dry shirt for my mom. We just had a terrible meal at this outback. The menu shows many options so we were excited to try something new. We both ordered and enjoyed the cozy ambiance of the restaurant. Food came out and immediately we were both surprised to see how the meal differed from the menu. My friend ordered a chimichurri filet and it came out in chunks unlike what was pictured. The filet was cold as were the onion petals on top. My sirloin came out cold and flavorless. It was disappointing. We asked for the manager Jess to come to the table. She called my friend a liar and that the menu said that the steak was medallions not strips like the menu photo shows. She acted like there was nothing we said that was wrong and we were making a big deal over what we ordered. She finally offered to remake the steak. My friend went up and grabbed a menu and saw it never said medallion and she was right. The manager needs to be let go or taught customer service 1.0. On the opposite side, our server was Delaney and was amazing. She was very attentive and we did not take out our frustration with manager out on her. It wasn't her fault. read more

I've only ordered takeout from this Outback but I've been happy with the food every time. It can take awhile for anyone to come out, I've waited 5-10 minutes a couple of times. But for my most recent visit they came out within 2 minutes and had the food ready for us earlier than promised! Been a while since we have been here and we just went through a hurricane and it's tradition to go out to dinner when it passes. So here we are. We started with Blooming Bloomin' Onion. The og. Pretty tasty. Grab some extra sauce. Next I had the new bloomin fried chicken and sirloin combo. Steak was cooked perfectly with good flavors but not the best cut. A little chewy in parts. The broccoli was over cooked to the point it was mushy. I like Al dente. The chicken had good flavors but the crust fell apart. We had placed an order through GrubHub for roughly 6:30 PM. GrubHub text me telling me that the order would be delayed roughly till 20 to 8 at 8 o'clock. GrubHub then within minutes cancelled my order on us that we have placed for three meals which totaled 150$ this was at 8 PM I was furious!!!! I called OUTBACK because GrubHub had stated OUTBACK could not fulfill the order. I spoke to a manager her name was Jess. She was absolutely phenomenal.!! She went above and beyond at first I just started kind of poking around, asking about the canceled order assuming that it was canceled by she notified me that it was not canceled by them that it was canceled by the customer by GrubHub I was even more upset so after her sending me the proof that it was I happen to just say to her, can you fulfill this order? Still she without question hesitation, fulfilled our order and said it will be ready in 15 I said I will be there to pick it up. She definitely overextended and beyond out of her way to please us and make us feel at ease come to find out the order was given to a GrubHub driver from the OUTBACK to go area! When I got there to pick up our order again, just above and beyond to make this right for us and to accommodate us, I will never ever go to another in my area other than this one on fourth!!! she is an amazing manager and her team is right up there behind her backing her up. I frequent this Outback often and last night me, my kids and sister went to dine in. The service was good, but I got food poisioning and when I reported it was told I didn't get it from there. The manager Jessica Norton told me she would refund me I went up there with my receipt as she advised she asked me did I want her to refund my whole tab. I advised no only for the steak meal that I got sick from which I brought back because I never finished consuming it. She started getting very combative and said no I'm not refunding it and balled up the receipt. I reported this restaurant to the Fl health department. read more

If you go here, you MUST ask for Leslie as your server. She was so attentive & super sweet to our large family on a Monday afternoon when they weren't expecting to be busy. She gave us suggestions for meal deals, cleared the table to make room for our lunch plates, refilled our drinks quickly, and even offered to go drinks and bread. I was here 3/25/24. It wasn't very busy. Nothing special about the atmosphere in this place. I ordered ribs, chop salad and a baked potato. My server was Robert and he was pleasant and on his game. (Perfect service) The chop salad was tasty but not at all chopped and was drenched in dressing and a bit wilted. (I would not order it again) The ribs were good, but not fall off the bone good. (Average at best) BBQ sauce was very good. The baked potato was delicious and served with real butter and sour cream. Overall for the price I would say it's a solid 4 stars. We were excited to return to an OBSH.... It had been a few years. We were greeted and sat to table top X 4. Our forearms stuck to the dining table. I requested that we get another cleaning with down. They obliged. Appetizers have shrunk in size and we didn't receive appetizer plates. Asked the runner (wasn't our server), but they never arrived. They did arrive just a few minutes ahead of our dinner ! Lobster Mac & Chs was really delicious. Potatoes smaller but still good. Then the manager on duty walked us to another table even smaller and said a lot of things about another party at 5:30 coming in and other servers not being clocked in yet etc , I mean at this point I felt I should have clocked in bc what are you talking to me about? Only for the manager to then say he has another option bc it wouldn't fit our plates we wanted to order a lot of food We are still standing at this point just standing confused and waiting If you had another option the whole time what are we talking about sir? I'm shocked that I haven't made a review of the Outback Steakhouse. Outback used to be my number one choice for a good and reasonably priced steakhouse. I've always enjoyed the regular sirloin, or upgrading to the ribeye or fillet. All in all... Cooked well, seasoned well, good service. Do I have to reconsider this opinion?... Well, today was a bad day for the Outback Steakhouse. The prices have definitely changed. The sirloin isn't the inexpensive steak it used to be... It's just a couple bucks less than the ribeye. So, I went for the ribeye. But before I made that choice, I asked the server "is it a thick cut". He responded "very thick". Let's just say... That was a bold face lie. The ribeye was still well cooked, seasoned well, but it was such a thin cut. It was embarrassing to call it a ribeye. Because of that thickness... It just cut poorly and though it tasted good it felt like a cheap cut of meat in the mouth. I know that sounds weird... But if you like steak, you get it. If that wasn't bad enough... The Caesar steak was a fraction of the regular size and I'm not even sure it had dressing on it. You could barely taste the Caesar. That's cost cutting at its finest. And add insult to injury... This sweet potato was the size of a small orange. I remember when you used to get a sweet potato the size of a shoe. Outback still makes the most flavorful sweet potato... No complaint there. It was good. But, why so small? For $27 I should at least get a full salad and a potato that doesn't look like it's on a diet. OK... I promise I'm not picking on Outback. My wife ordered the prime rib. A few years ago Outback added a different variety of prime rib that they cook and season just like a steak instead of only slow roasting. She explained over and over that she didn't like that one... She wanted the original style. Well guess what came out... Not the original style. And just like she remembered last time Outback made that mistake it was dry and not what a prime rib should be. And as a table that typically never complains or sends food back... It was worth sending back. It turns out... They ran out of prime rib at that point and she had to get a ribeye instead. To give good points to Outback: the manager came out and apologized for the mistake in the order and comped my wife's ribeye. So, as always... Outback always has had great service, fine management, and clean and well presenting restaurants. When I order a Coke, my Coke glass is never empty. The restaurant experience at Outback is still stellar -- bread service, polite staff, good food. But, it's not the inexpensive restaurant that I would go to on a whim anymore. And with this experience... I might try another steakhouse first and hopefully they have a better cut of ribeye for a similar price. read more

Was there Saturday, Feb. 7 and they were out of the beer I like; not friendly (including the manager); the coconut shrimp was not what I have had in the past and it was burned. Yes, we have no photos. All of our food looked great, but we were hungry, so we ate everything as it came out. No food photo ops! The place is also very nice, but we were more interested in each other's company than photos. We come here often to meet our niece & her hubby. Our server Mark was great. He took our orders, and brought everything out expeditiously and with a smile: drinks, bread and butter, bloomin' shrimp, salads, steaks. He also refilled our drinks as needed. The bloomin' shrimp was so good! This was our first time ordering this appetizer. Did not leave any on the plate. Salads tasted fresh and healthy. The rib eye and filet mignons were cooked to perfection, as were the sides - mixed veggies and sweet potatoes. We had no room for dessert as we ate every bite on our plates. Yes the steaks here are good but so is the salmon! The drinks are also reasonably priced which is a good reason to come back. Took my son for Christmas Eve he lives outback. We sat at the bar and our bartender was great. We both ordered ribeye and baked potatoe with pumpernickel bread. I had French onion soup and my son had grilled shrimp as appetizers. Too much food. I wasn't thrilled with the flavor of the steak so I didn't eat much but my son loved it all. Came here specifically for the blooming onion. Unfortunately the seasoning was non-existent. It was just very crispy, super oily and Hollow. Not much flavor at all. The dipping sauce was horseradish based and not very good. The free bread was Pumpernickel or something and it didn't taste good either. The blueberry lavender lemonade was super sweet and not very lemony. They gave me a lemonade on the side to pour into it at my will. I asked for the blueberry lavender lemonade cocktail without alcohol and basically got it for half price which was a pretty sweet deal.
