The service here has always been good so far. We got a really nice waitress and even workers walking by interacting with our daughter. I didn't even get a good photo of the three cheese spinach dip because we ate it all so fast! I also got a bloomin onion burger which was crunchy and messy drippy all at once if that makes sense! Baked potatoes are always good. The steak was really fatty but besides that the sides were all spot on. Mac and cheese had a tiny spice to it, maybe pepper? If you go Thursday through Sunday, make sure you make a reservation ahead. It's a very busy and popular place. You can make reservations online. I've been here multiple times and always had great service with friendly staff. I come here once a month at least. Always appreciated the ambiance of Outback. Came in around 8 and sat immediately. Clean table and silverware definitely kept up with. Was looking forward to drinks so we got two Boomarang Flights with the blackberry and mango ones, those are our fav! Tried the new garlic chicken bites and they are it!!! Crispy and tender with ranch, they came out nice and hot. All the entrees were amazing, we needed to go boxes but had to get dessert. Luckily, I know what lobster tails are SUPPOSED to look like and knew that I'd be violently ill if I ate them. I spoke with Darian, very kind manager who refunded my entire order. However, that's not the issue. Lobster meat this dark means that the lobster was bad before it was even cooked. The steak was absolutely disgusting and was all fat. It had no taste and I could feel the fat in every bite. I normally don't get steak here but I thought...how bad could a steak house ribeye be? I would expect this from a place that specializes in seafood or something like that but steak should be your best dish. We had to flag 3 people down before the Manger came. He comped the meal but honestly it was his lack of empathy or care most disturbing. He even tried to tell us like 40 percent of steak is fat. Myself and & my girlfriend came for drinks and appetizers and ordered the ahi tuna and blooming shrimp (First time for that one) and upon trying the shrimp we were completely satisfied but weren't complaining nor were we asking for them to remove the cost from the check. (Just the opposite actually) but the manager (Hector) and the server (Cathy) were over the top gracious and professional. Recently I dined in at Outback for a quick dinner. I ordered the mild Kookaburra wings which came with about 12 wings ( a combination of drumsticks and flats) served with blue cheese and celery, and the Gold Coast Coconut shrimp which came with 8 shrimp paired with creole marmalade, and a side of fries. The food was good and flavorful, but the service was lackluster. Our waiter was nice, but not very attentive. We needed more condiments and refills, but he did not come back to the table until the end of our meal. I went with a 6oz steak with coconut shrimp & loaded baked potato which was one of the best I've had at a restaurant. They load the skin with a flake salt that you can see all over it, delicious. When a chain restaurant can offer a burger that is ready for its menu close- up, a decent child's size cheeseburger, a fosters and a scoop of ice cream for $28- I'm in. My son and I selected outback by accident because my son said he had to use a restroom- and that is where we were on queen street deciding on a spot. I haven't visited an outback in over a decade. With all the changes we had to our wedding and reception due to COVID, the management and staff there did not make us feel like they were not our first choice.
