Home away from home. I just moved to south west. I was looking for a great no nonsense place to have a beer and relax. In 15 years of being in town have never been in this place. Heading home from a trip we decided to pull into this cute little bar. Pool table, music, Big Buck and TVs you couldn't go wrong. Brooke the bartender was by herself but man did she deliver! AWESOME DIVE BAR! It's not even that divey (it's CLEAN(), but everyone there is incredibly nice, they have Sierra Nevada, two good looking pool tables and a nice outdoor area for the smokers! The bartender was so unbelievably cool and helpful (giving us tips since we just moved up here from San Diego)! My birthday is in a couple days and I'm seriously considering celebrating it here! HORRIBLE. This is totally the type of bar that I would choose to go to regularly. There's pool tables and it has a nice dive bar feel. I've been here 5 times. Hands down the worst service my wife and I have received EVER, anywhere. And this 5 times was over a 2 year span. I would never recommend this place to someone I cared about. The bouncer had carded me multiple times in the same night and all the employees where not friendly at all. I remember the very first time i came in here. The bartender "Jimbo" was very cool to me. And im REAL big on customer service. Hes jus one of these employees with a great attitude that made a lasting impression on me and although im far from wat u wld call a regular i do remember him and Stefanina doing their best to make a new comer comfy. Now this place has two pool tables, free shuffle board, lotto, a cool dice game that givs u a chance at a jackpot if u roll the rite #s & an outside patio for smoking or lounging. Its true that sometimes an idiot or two will show up but thats anywere. Ladies bathroom is decent behind the bar but the mens is not so great but come on we're men...MAN UP! I live in the area, and have visited the Outrigger on 4 occasions. Unfortunately I haven't had a single good experience. The bar is small, dirty, and the bartenders can be rude at times. This bar is frequented mostly by alcoholics and Marines, which makes a less than pleasant enviroment. read more

Outrigger is by far the best bar in San Clemente. My boyfriend and I go there at least once a week. Lauren and Rachel are the most incredible bartenders and everyone there (especially the owner) treats our dog Zeppelin like royalty. Cant say enough about the staff.
