Great, fun atmosphere! Loved the chic and trendy decor. The grilled calamari appetizer was my favorite--best I've had in a long time. Also loved the lightly fried zucchini with cucumber dip. Very surprised no hummus on menu?!?! That's crazy for a greek restaurant. The meatball app was well received-flavorful but small. We ordered fish entrees-no fresh fish after reading the reviews about $45-55 entrees. Sea bass was awesome. Large portion and good sauce. Seafood pasta was excellent-mussels, shrimp and scallops. Not heavy at all. Scallops were 4 large scallops, good sauce, but no vegetables or starch. The signature drinks were good, but pricey at $12...good splurge! They brought out fresh bread and a licorice shot to end the evening. Would definitely go back again. If you want less trend and better Greek with reasonable prices--go down a block to Lebanese Taverna, my favorite!! read more

I went here with 2 girlfriend for a nice night out in Baltimore. We arrived about 15 mins before our reservations and were promptly seated with a smile and choice of table or booth. The waiter was very charming and charismatic, as well as knowledgable about the menu and the recommendations for us. We got the octopus that was perfectly grilled and smoky. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. We also go the appetizer sampler that was great. The Lima beans were in a bbq-ish sauce with feta. Also, very tasty and different. We got a shot of ouza at the end of dinner and of course had to take it even though I HATE black licorice. At that point, it was general principle. Someone gives you a shot, you take it. Oh, I love Will and this bar, I like to consider myself a regular, but this was one of my first times I found myself having an actual dinner here. We got to Ouzo in the middle of happy hour on a Tuesday and the bar was packed. We squeezed in and grabbed a few cocktails. A classic bourbon sour (Bulliet, lemon, a little simply and a frothy egg white) and an Ouzo creation the Sunset over Zerzura. Named after a mythical city in Greece, this was The Botanist Gin, a little Aperol with grapefruit, fresh-squeezed lemon juice and ginger syrup. It wasn't sweet. I don't like sweet drinks - this was incredibly balanced - as are all Will's cocktails. Since it was happy hour, we started with a few appetizers from the special menu. We started with the saganaki tiganito - a Greek kefalograviera cheese in a small cast iron skillet. First its pan-fried, and then flambéed at the table with a little brandy. I owe everyone a flaming action shot, but I was too mesmerised to grab the phone. This is fried cheese folks served with pita toast points; it is one of those that kind of keeps its shapes when it is heated, so it is easy to scoop on to your bread. I love the smooth, creamy texture, and nutty saltiness of this cheese. The octopus (xtapodi sharas) is also on the happy hour menu. This is one of my most favorite dishes they make. Grilled over charcoal so the octopus is still a little crispy, but tender melt-in-your-mouth goodness on the inside. Once off the grill, it's tossed with sweet Onions and red peppers, and some herbs. There is so much happening in this dish - from the tender grilled mullosc to the red wine caper vinaigrette. As a fan of octopus, I get this every time I come in - sweet, tangy, with a balanced acidity. Next, we had to take advantage of the fresh fish options. We shared the Karavides - which is a small Norwegian lobster. Chef here slices it and grills it and served with a flavorful buttery sauce. I liked these - the meat was tender and rich, with a hint of sweetness. The first three dishes were superb, so I was very attentively awaiting the bronzino. We were warned about the wait, of 30-40 minutes, and were enjoying rounds of wine and ouzo, so we didn't take much notice when it took quite a bit longer. The plating was grand and eye-catching, but that was probably the best part of the dish. The lean Mediterranean sea bass was grilled over charcoal and lightly seasoned with lemon and capers. I think the intention is to let the fish speak for itself, which it did - I was able to pick up on the light mild and sweetness. I only knew the sauce was lemon and capers, because there were lemon and capers on the dish. I would have liked more brininess and acid to come through, as I think it would have highlighted the fish. read more

Pricey indeed, but you get what you pay for. Skip the non-seafood appetizers and extra sides. They're overpriced. I wouldn't venture too far into the specialties from the sea or land either. I saw what the table next to us got, and it didn't look too good (just my opinion though). HOWEVER, the fresh whole fish is worth every penny. It's priced by the pound. You can't really ask for an exact weight, but the way they're cooked, prepared, and presented is fabulous. They are fresh, perfectly grilled, and de-boned (which is good because I hate doing the de-boning). In addition, they warn you that it'll take 30-40 minutes for preparation, but I feel that it takes less than that or maybe on the lower end of that range. We ended up getting the red snapper and the black sea bass. Both were delicious options. Another neat thing to point out is that some of their appetizer plates are long and rectangular, which is easy to share when placed long-ways between two. As for dessert, let me recommend the baklava with PISTACHIO ice cream. Parking can be rough, but that's just the Harbor East area in general. read more

If there was a 4 1/2 that would be closer to our rating...excellent food, definitely pricey. We had dinner reservations at 6pm on last Saturday and sat at the bar until our entire group arrived. The cocktails were very good. We were seated immediately when all 4 were there. We started with the saganaki (initial taste was very salty, which appeared to be less as we ate the rest) and grilled octopus. Both were excellent. Next we split 2 greek salads which were also very tasty, but on the smaller size for the price. For entrées, I had the sea bass. The fish itself was amazing. Very tender and a nice thick fillet. The tomato based sauce withe beans and capers wasn't my favorite. Next friend got the halibut. Loved the lobster sauce on that. The other entrees were the lamb shank and lamb chops. Everyone enjoyed the lamb dishes. For dessert, we had the baklava like pastry with creme on top which was excellent. We left most of the strawberry shortcake which was the least favorite part of the meal...strange consistency to the cake...a bit crispy instead of soft. Also, I agree with another review about the 2 strawberries on the plate were soggy as if previously frozen. To finish off the night, our waiter brought us ouzo, which was good but I had to drive an hour home so left it there. Service was excellent. Forgot our waiters name. The repeated cleaning of our table with a wet wipe was a bit strange. Overall, a great evening. read more

Food: Delicious! Lamb is my favorite meat, and the lamb chops were incredible!!! The grilled vegetables were simple, yet impressive, big serving worth sharing. I left very full, no room for dessert. Drinks: I usually opt for wine, which I eventually did with my entree, a dry earthy wine from Greece! The bartender was very knowledgeable and helped me choose, however I started with a taster cocktail with cachaça. It was great, I'll be returning to try more of the cocktail menu! Service: The bar was busy, but the bartenders worked well together to hit all of my needs. Definitely a welcoming atmosphere. Ambiance: It was a bit dark in the bar area, and the bartender gave me a light up pen to help me tread the menus, maybe they wouldn't need flashlights if the lights were a little higher. Beautiful restaurant with delicious food. I spent my 30th birthday here with some friends. The blue neon lights do bring an ambiance and a cool vibe. Very nice decor. The appetizer spanakopita (spinach pie) is actually delicious with crust bread, cheese and spinach and mixture. This isn't the nasty Popeye Sailor spinach. It's delicious! For a meal, the moussaka is so delicious! Highly recommended to order! Layers of Potatoes, Eggplant & Zucchini, Braised Beef with Aromatics & Béchamel Sauce. When I come back, I will order that. Luckily, my friend ordered the moussaka and I, the birthday girl, got to eat majority of what she left because the Kotopoulo chicken was very MEH. It wasn't nearly as good as the description reads "Herb-Honey Chicken and Bacon-Pepper Gravy" but I DIDN'T taste ANY of that sadly. By the time we finished our meals, we were STUFFED and didn't order any dessert. The staff are super friendly and understanding if you call them to tell them you're running a little late for your reservation. Staff also go out of there way to do something for your birthday. They brought me this birthday mini cream thing that did not taste good but the candle and the thought really made me feel like it was my birthday! I have nothing but great things to say about this place. We dined outside and the view was great. All of the staff outside were attentive and appeared to be working as a team. I had the meatballs, sword fish ceviche, lamb chops, Mac and cheese and the crab cakes. I was in food heaven. The service was exceptional and it was a major vibe on a Sunday evening. Great service, authentic gourmet Greek food, and a pretty cool atmosphere. We had a group dinner and so had lamb meatballs, grape leaves and spanakopita for apps done family style. All of the flavors were on point, fresh and delicious! For entrees we had very impressive (huge) portions of roast chicken or lamb accompanied by orzo rice or lemon potatoes.. absolutely delightful! Worth noting that the service was professional, efficient and very friendly. We had house selected white (sauv blanc) and red (blend, served chilled) wines that paired well w the food. Dessert trays had a chocolate brownie type triangles, traditional baklava style pieces and fruit w honey and Greek yogurt. Exceeded my expectations for sure! read more

I have a tradition to go to a Mediterranean Restaurant after finishing every marathon. Ouzo Bay's offerings of appetizers were authentic Greek. Saganaki was great. The anchovies reminded of my Greek-American home. I loved the variety of Ouzo Brands. My family favorite brand is Metaxa. Of course, they had it. The entrees were incredible. My wife had the best grilled octopus that she has had in long,long time. Mine was the stuffed crab fish special. Very Baltimore Hellenic themed. The desserts were loukoumades and galatoboutiko. Date night with the Hubby. Surprised there was bar seating! Decided to give it a go. Our Bartender Manny was phenomenal. great service and really attentive. With COVID, i was a bit skeptical but gave it a try. All the staff diligently obeyed all guidelines set forth. Great wine selection and good amount of Tequilas, even Mezcal. My husband LOVES Mezcal after a trip to Cancun couple years back and now he cant get enough. The Tuna Tartare was amazing. Small, but amazing. If there wasnt as many people there, I would have licked the plate (i know, i know, not lady like). Generally not a huge fan of greek food, but loved everything we tried. The staff at the hostess stand was unprofessional and the clientele coming in - half dressed and in very little, see through outfits - was completely unappealing. Planned a special birthday for my daughter's 20th birthday. Requested a special dessert in celebration, both at the time of booking the reservation and requested the same from the manager on site. Unfortunately, it didn't happen as planned, however the manager was incredibly gracious and apologetic. The service recovery was exceptional! ive never been here before. the setting is very nice. that had all the windows open and theres a nice breeze from the water. staff is friendly and clean. covid safe. my favorite is a young bar tender named Austin. it was recently his birthday! hes a total sweetheart, personable and attentive even when busy. this kid has eyes in the back of his head for sure. he knows how to consistently make a good drink. he'll take good care of you. everything we ordered was delicious. im under the menu changes semi frequently because of the menu vs whats photographed and mentioned by other yelp users. so if you like yo have new and different things when you go out it may be a nice place to frequent and still have changing flavors but want to know what your eating and drinking is going to be good you may really like this spot read more

We had Brunch for Easter and the food and service were both extraordinary. Our server Kyle was attentive as we enjoyed a very leisurely breakfast. My coffee was constantly topped off and enjoyed the Greek Bloody Mary. I had the Chesapeake Benedict which was generous with the crab. My daughter enjoyed the avocado toast which was quite flavorful, and my youngest had the brioche French toast which was delicious and a bit different topped whipped Nutella and bananas. Atmosphere for a baltimore restaurant is 10/10. Feels like you are in Miami (which is a good thing in dreary cold Baltimore). Bartenders are super fun and knowledgable, and they have an amazing spirit and wine selection. For menu items go with the octopus. hands down the best octopus ive ever had. The lamb meatballs are pretty tasty as well. Have to go with a fish or lamb dish here for entree. Their fish is flow in fresh every other day from various locations around the world. This is not a place to go and not explore a new fish and simply order a steak (they are prime cuts, but you MUST GET FISH). Bronzino/Dorade/Snapper - start there and work your way down the list. Oh don't forget to order a side of greek potato's. Sometimes they tend to be over cooked, but they are still tasty nonetheless. read more

Ouzo Bay is one of our most favorite restaurants! The inviting decor and good location in Harbor East is wonderful but the main reason to go is the spectacular Greek/Mediterranean cuisine! After a drink at the bar we order the grilled Portuguese octopus appetizer served with sweet onions, red peppers, & red wine caper vinaigrette every time. Then it's time to select an entré from their vast menu: daily wild seafood catches from around the world, grass fed lamb, and prime dry aged meats. Every selection is prepared meticulously! First time at brunch here sat outside in the Ouzo Beach area. Great atmosphere with live DJ drinks and food. The Brunch menu has a few breakfast items about 6-7 choices with more lunch options. I have been here 3 times... first and second time were nice--good food good vibe good service. Tonight... terrible! Party of 2 when the restaurant was not busy and had opened in. the last hour. For a party of 2 our food took quite some time to come out. I ordered the whole fish snapper-- luke warm, no taste, and did not seem like fresh fish. I was too hungry, bc of the wait, to say anything. Then our waiter disappeared and we had a new waitress, with not introduction who then brought us the dessert menu; I figured I did not enjoy my dinner so let me get the old faithful baklava-- it was great the first time I had it and they give a big portion; I was excited bc I knew I would enjoy it, right? WRONG! I cut a piece with my fork expecting crisp filo layers with the walnuts and honey-- it was a soggy, cold mush of a mess. I pushed it aside and told the waitress is was cold and soggy-- her response, "they out it in the microwave too long" Ummmm first of all it was cold, so no, it wasn't microwaved but probably put in the fridge. Sigh! She didn't charge me for it but I was overall disappointed tonight. Not sure I will be coming back. The owner or manager had been roaming all evening and didn't come till the tail end of the bad dinner to check on us-- again I was too tired and passed hungry eating the bad fish plate. The owner and wait staff seemed overly attentive to a booth of about 6 people who the owner seemingly knew. I guess you have to know the manager or owner to get what you pay for, highly disappointed. I normally recommend and enjoy this restaurant. The food is consistently good and the restaurant is very popular. I have enjoyed many meals here with family Unfortunately I do not recommend it for business dinners. There was tremendous up selling and excessive salesmanship. My clients agreed to the all recommendations resulting in a $230.00 plate for dinner. The waiter in addition took all glasses only 1/2 empty and refilled them for a price per refill. It is a shame as our offices are very close and this had appeared to be a good restaurant for entertaining clients. read more

I'm Greek, and the spanakopita here was better than my yiayias!! I also had hummus, grilled octopus and crab legs that were very decent. Be sure to read the website before going so that you follow their strict dress code. I read a lot of reviews that stated people were discriminated against, but I'm a girl who brought my girlfriend and had no bad experiences. it may depend on who's working and the other customers. It can also get very expensive, but I had food, wine and dessert for two for about $100. Was worth it for date night!! read more

Baltimore's newest hot-spot has got to be Ouzo Beach... located just steps from Ouzo Bay restaurant. Sunday Funday in a hot June sun didn't disappoint! This Atlas Group restaurant continues to raise the bar for the food scene in Baltimore and we say keep it coming! Mike, our sever, brought humor, excellent customer service and the tasty cucumber water coming on a 85 degree summery day. The Sauvignon Blanc was crisp and flowing plentifully. The feta and watermelon salad was the perfect pairing - and I can't say enough about the Waygu grape leaves with honey, pistachio and tzatziki sauce -- we might have ordered two?!? Need a finisher?
