Met a friend for breakfast on a busy Sunday. Our first time at this location and it was great! 30 minute wait but not sure it was even that long. Friendly host and staff. Toni was our server and she was really great! Made suggestions, answered our many questions and never missed a beat! She didn't make us feel weird after we realized it had been two hours. Lots of catching up to do! The space is super bright and airy and it was just a really great meal. Fluffy pancakes and waffles, delicious coffee, perfectly cooked eggs. I love the food here, but the service keeps missing the mark. My friend and I sat outside and watched other tables get served before us again. We ended up leaving because this isn't the first time this has happened. As people of color, it's upsetting because this isn't the first time we've felt overlooked here. The waitress I had was an absolute sweetheart! She was so accommodating and took great care of my family and I. The food itself- DIVINE!! We ordered the waffle dogs, chicken fried steak, and blueberry cornbread. Everything came out fresh and was so tasty! As for the atmosphere, it was very laid back and felt comfy. Honestly, all of the staff was just so kind and pleasant to be around. A waitress who was working another section went out of her way to come greet my children which were waving at her from across the way. Eggs Benedict was good but not the best I've ever had. We tried the Flight of Flavor, The Yes Chef! and the espresso martini. Yes Chef! was my favorite drink. Came here Friday mid morning around 10:30am - cute little diner, nice and bright and open. Our party was only for 3 and there were open tables but we still waited about 15 minutes even seeing other groups of 2 and 3 coming in after us but getting seated. No big deal, we weren't in a rush but it was a bit odd. this place is featured on diners drive ins and dives and they have those items featured on the menu., but we ended up ordering different items. I ordered the Loco Moko which was a sunny side egg on top of a beef patty with grilled onions and mushroom gravy and sticky rice. The gravy was what gave it flavor. The husby ordered the corn beef hash and it was delicious. I also ordered their iced chai latte. First time trying over easy and really regret it. Once you walk in, the atmosphere and customer service was enjoyable. But food was horrible! I ordered the chicken and waffles and was hesitant at first because of the price but figured for that price & being featured on ddd this plate will be awesome. Wrong! Once they put the plate down you could tell off the bat it would not taste good. The waffle & chicken tenders had no taste. Very bland. To top it off syrup was horrible, very runny and didn't have a good taste to it. I had to force myself to eat this plate since it was so expensive. My coffee wasn't good either. It had a burnt taste. Didn't even finish my first cup! I will not be returning here. Once you have really ate at a great breakfast joint places like this cannot compare. read more

The food and service were wonderful. But the staff went way out of their way to help me. I left my credit card at the restaurant. The staff located the nearest bank branch for my bank and delivered the card to the bank. The bank notified me and I was able to retrieve the card. I ordered a breakfast burrito. I'd say the options are quite extensive. I chose hashbrowns, sausage, bacon, and pepper jack cheese and green chile (which came on the side). It was pretty good and came with a large side of hash browns. However, I'd prefer fewer hashbrowns in my burrito and more of the other fillings. Out of breakfast burritos, I'd say that this is better than Salad and Go, but nothing so far has even gotten near how good a Blake's Lotaburger breakfast burrito tastes. Unfortunately they don't have those in Arizona, so I'd say this is the best one I tried in Arizona so far. If it weren't so far from home, I'd order other items off this menu. Happily surprised by this small gem in Surprise... it's way overdue we have excellent plated food with great taste for breakfast & brunch. The coffee is as very weak I'm sorry to say. The Bloody Mary was nice ( needed a full rim of spice instead of just a quarter of the rim). The Hash very nice & fresh. French toast very savory. Tots with the pulled pork & chille was outstanding, again very fresh. You will pay a price (it hurts) for elevated plating & the wait time was about the same as going to the city to eat... We had a lovely experience at Over Easy! A few days ago, I looked up gluten free options near me and they popped up - I was surprised! We ate our breakfast at the bar (a first for us!) because there was less wait that way. Our server was sweet, attentive, and quick. I ordered the Chilaquiles (YUM!!!) which is one of their gluten free options. My husband ordered their banana nut French toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon (not gf) and he loved it! He also had a raspberry mimosa. This place was great and I plan on returning soon to try their southwest skillet and their OG Wolfpack (both GF as well!). If I could add anything, I would say I'd love to see some gluten free pancake, waffle, or French toast options for us allergy people.
