OMG! Thinking about the food i had at this spot is making me hungry! I live in Boston but i visit Texas quite often and what would a southern gal at heart want each time...you know it...BISCUITS!!! It was so much fun trying new, clever concoctions of a deviled eggs. My fave was the chimichurri! i could eat of bowl of that! I got the Chicken and Bacon Biscuits with a side of overeasy eggs. The biscuit was on point! it had a nice layer of maple butter that was oh so good. Bacon was cooked well. chicken was just lightly season fried chicken so nothing CRAZY there. I will say my side of egg was a little more cooked than a regular overeasy egg..but still runny just not enough... Friends got the hash which they said was delicious and it looked like a very filling portion (neither of them could finish it). Drinks: REALLY good choices for drinks. Everything was yummy without being overpowering. PERFECT for a breakfast/summer cocktail I did not try their coffee or pastries but they did look appetizing! Very friendly staff (LOVE THE BOLO TIES!!) I loved this place! My boyfriend and I were visiting Dallas for the day so we decided to check out this place for brunch. It's located inside a hotel in downtown Dallas and the ambience was very nice and peaceful. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful, he answered every single question we had with details and the service was exceptional. As for the food, I liked how they kind of put a spin on your traditional dishes making it more unique and deff make for an unforgettable experience. For example, I got a grilled cheese sandwich w/ tomato soup and they put honey and apples inside my grilled cheese and it tasted amazing! My boyfriend got scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes and hash browns and the hash browns were fried up into a ball and it was heavenly; neither of us have ever had anything like that before. Their eggs were very fluffy too. For our side, we got the breakfast banana split; it was simple but very satisfying at the same time. Instead of whipped cream, they used whipped Greek yogurt, a healthier alternative yet still very delicious! For desserts, we got the banana cream pie and it was so good!! They put toasted marshmallows on top, it was not overly sweet either! This is a must-try in my opinion. After reading some of the reviews it seems like this place is either a hit or a miss for some people and for us, it was definitely a hit! We ordered the monroes to start and I really liked the creamy/foamy top to them. However, I think they ran out of glasses as my second one came in a wine glass instead of the champagne glass for my first drink. It also seemed like drinks took a very long time to make so I'm not sure if the bar was backed up or they didn't have enough help for the brunch rush. I highly recommend the buttermilk biscuits to share. They were incredible and so filling! The 3 sauces on the side were heaven. I also ordered the grilled cheese and found it to be a fun twist on a normal grilled cheese. The BLT soup was a little spicy so the flavors really balanced with the grilled cheese. Some of the entrees are a little pricey (18-20) for lunch, but fortunately they have plenty of delicious choices in the 12-14 range as well. My favorites are the vegetable Moussaka and the brisket hash. The brisket hash is mostly meat, with a good balance of veggies--it's not overwhelmingly potato, and the potatoes that are in it are purple, red and white fingering--super flavorful! I do remove a star for the price of basic non-alcoholic, non-coffee, drinks. Like the iced tea is $3. The coffees are very very good though, and worth the money. Also, sometimes things take forever to come out of the kitchen, which is a problem if I have a post-lunch meeting. read more

The atmosphere was nice with a little music playing (I believe) and the design in here was rather simple. The menu had several great breakfast options and being a 4 star hotel the menu prices were pretty good. The wait for our food wasn't too bad, but could've been a little quicker. I personally never eat breakfast tacos, they are good, but avoid tortillas. I gave in on the day I was here and man was it a great choice. The tacos I had were absolutely fantastic and very filling. They have a pretty extensive menu for both breakfast and lunch. They serve really big portions. I was expecting to leave satisfied and be hungry before 3pm. This was not the case. We were greeted by a very unfriendly host who told us to put our name, address and phone number to get a table....the restaurant was only about 30% full. Requested one of 7 empty booths to be told they are reserved for others. When asked why they need so much personal information to have breakfast, only then were we informed that this restaurant was doing contact tracing. Poor customer service and diingenuity about available seating....it's a reason not go stay at the statler and of course never to eat at this restaurant. We left hungry and disappointed. read more

The hotel had many restaurant options and we decided to go to Overeasy for breakfast. The service was a little delayed, but my food was great. Here on Saturday for Brunch and it was not a great experience.Not sure why the main entrance has been locked and only way to enter is through the hotel. They make an excellent latte, which I needed after a night on the town. Trying for a more healthy option, I went with the steel cut oats, which were very good. My husband was very happy with his ricotta lemon zest pancakes. The lemon curd was very enticing to me and I almost wished I ordered these. On our way out the following morning, I ordered coffee to go along with a couple of croissants. The croissants were very good, large and airy with nice layers. Valet drivers were friendly and polite, and notified me that the valet would be validated at the restaurant. Hostesses were really nice as well, and put me on the list with a 25 min wait. My friends and I sat in an area where you can get coffee or drinks, which was nicely decorated with a contemporary country chic theme. We were seated in a reasonable amount of time. After that, our waiter introduced himself as Derek and brought our waters. However, he didn't return for a significant amount of time. My friends had a flight to catch this afternoon so when he returned, I asked if we could order and he responded "umm yea honey that's what I'm here for...why don't YOU start" in a fairly condescending manner. Okay whatever, I got over that pretty quick and asked if there was an option to substitute the bacon out of my dish for something else because I don't eat pork. His again condescending response as he rolled his eyes at me: "I mean not really....I guess. I don't know what you would substitute it out for. You can have sausage or ham? But they are pork too." I suggested the mushroom and he sarcastically said he would try his best. My friends were floored by his behavior, how embarrassing! In general, a lot of places do not have great substitutions for pork; however, if the waiter is nice about it, I hardly ever care. Just be nice! 30-40 minutes go by, and he comes back and tells us that the kitchen is really backed up today, that they were working on orders that were put in 30 minutes before ours, and that he understands if we have to leave without our food. We explained the flight situation and he redeemed himself somewhat by having our orders prioritized. However, when he returned to give us our checks, I was nervous to even ask to have my parking validated because he seemed annoyed. As for the food, I got the chicken tenders biscuit and substituted the bacon for mushroom. The chicken and mushrooms were okay but the biscuit with honey butter was divine! My friends got the ham biscuit and avocado toast, and both enjoyed their dishes too. As a whole, we all agreed that the food and atmosphere were good but the service definitely has room to improve. read more

Was visiting Dallas this weekend and since this place was at our hotel, we decided to stop here for breakfast before touring the area. After a 20 minute wait for a table (when there were a few empty tables visible), and dealing with a flaky hostess, we were seated and ordered. Waited nearly an hour to get our food (a simple order of scrambled eggs and sausage). The waitress kept telling us they were busy, but it would be ready soon. Once we finally received our order, it was cold, which makes me think it was sitting around for a while and the waitress forgot about it. Unfortunately we were pressed for time due to the extensive wait, so we couldn't even send it back. (Yummy, ice cold sausage!) To top it off, our waitress had a second waitress helping her and she was literally the most miserable person alive. When one member of our party showed her our hotel wristband, confirming the discount we had for our order, the waitress rolled her eyes, gave us a dirty look and stomped off. Plain and simple, if you don't like your job, maybe you should find something else to go into. We ordered from here on DoorDash and it's not the best. I got the Easy Living and it's pretty disappointing. The eggs aren't seasoned, the potatoes are barely seasoned, the sausage feels like it was cooked in a microwave, and the toast isn't actually toasted- it's just bread. I did order this on a Saturday around 11:30, so I imagine the restaurant was super busy and maybe some things just slipped through the cracks. My boyfriend said his was good enough (he got the Texas State Ranch Hand) so maybe it's just the Easy Living that isn't good. I don't think we'll be ordering from here again though read more

I have been here a handful of times and never had a bad experience (minus the time the waitress dropped my meal on me- woops). It had been about a year since my last visit so I decided to check it out again and it did not disappoint. Both dishes we ordered were delicious. Pancakes were fluffy and the blueberries and curd were kept separate allowing you to decide the topping amount. I was worried about the chilaquiles at first glance since the sauce was sparse and the chips were different than I was used too. Turns out all the flavor was under the eggs in a Chile Verde so all was well in the world again. I would come back for both dishes.
