They had several choices for me to try so I got a flight and enjoyed my time there while I waited for the Nuggets game to finish and me leave to pick up Ben. The service was friendly and fast and offered suggestions/opinions based on the beers I enjoy, which is always appreciated. As Ben wasn't with me during this visit, I am sure the next time we are in Denver we will be making another stop for him to enjoy. Here's what happened: I came in last night with a group of friends and had a Monster Energy drink in my front pocket. It wasn't taken at the door, so I forgot about it until I noticed it while playing at the beer pong table. I cracked it open without thinking much of it. Christian came around bussing glasses and took the Monster from me. I assumed it was a mistake at first, but he told me I couldn't have it inside -- fair enough. I asked if I could take it outside or leave it somewhere. He said he'd hold it behind the bar for me to pick up when I left. That seemed reasonable, and I thanked him. When I came to grab it on my way out, he tossed it in the trash instead. When I asked why, he pulled it back out and slowly poured it into the trash, yelling that I wasn't supposed to have it in there and accusing me of sneaking it in. The whole thing felt like he was trying to provoke me into a confrontation. It was humiliating -- not just for me, but honestly for the bar too, especially in front of a crowd. There are so many better ways this situation could have been handled. It's unfortunate, because the rest of the staff were friendly and professional, and I genuinely like the arcade bar itself. To ownership: Please take note -- this employee needs support, training, or possibly a different role that doesn't involve direct customer interaction.
