I went to have 4 new tires installed week ago and have been back twice since then to have them balanced. It's very irritating that they didn't do it right the first time. Then when I went back the second time and they only checked my two front tires. I had to go back a third time, and when I told the guy that I don't have time to wait, he told me to "relax". Not what you say to a lady who has better things to do then make two extra trips to have the job done properly. I'm so upset. This is the second time I have purchased a used tire from Oxnard Tires. I got a flat on the 405 about 12 miles away that I knew wouldn't be repairable. I considered having the car towed to someplace close, but I instead opted to put on my donut and take my car to Oxnard Tires, which is near my house. I knew my other tires were in good shape and I had a positive experience getting a used tire from here years ago - it held up just fine. Crazy! I got a flat tire and had to drive a couple of blocks with a bad tire. The tire got really messed up. So I knew it wasn't going to work. Before I came I called and asked for a quote on a used tire, the guy said "$70-$80 for a used tire" so I get here 5 minutes later. My tire completely out because I drove it flat. And the guy that helps me finds me a used tire and says "it's going to be $100 for the used tire" clearly they saw I needed a tire desperately and I am not going to go anywhere else, so he decided to upcharge me then and there. It wasn't the guy I spoke to but I did say "did you put up the price because you know I need it and really can't go anywhere else?" And he just stayed quiet. Effin BS! Done come here. I get times are tough and everything is getting expensive but this was dirty. 8:15 am, 1st client of the day and he said let's take advantage of it. read more

If they don't have the specific tires or tire size they'll do their best to order it and have them delivered the same day if not the next day. They are efficient and straight to the point. These people are scammers. I brought in my car with a flat tire. I could tell business was slow so they were very eager to assist me. After checking out the tire they brought me over & told me I needed a new tire. They pointed some things out on the tire that they said were signs that it needed to be replaced. I had a gut feeling that I needed a 2nd opinion so I told them that I needed to do just that & if I indeed needed a replacement I would go with the best price. I went down the road to another shop where I was told that the tire was an easy fix and the tire was definitely still in good condition. An honest business will always win in the long run. Don't try to steal from people just to make a quick buck. read more

This was the second time I have been here for a patch job on my tire (first time was a different car years ago). I was on my home after a hike, and just pulled in. They told me it would be 30 bucks for a patch MULTIPLE TIMES before I agreed to have the work done. It used to be 20 bucks, but that was like 4 or 5 years ago lol. They were quick and efficient and I think maybe 20 min went by from pulling in to pulling out. Great job and I did it for the peace of mind. I went in to buy 2 tires and they could have easily sold them to me but they came up to me and told me that one of the tires wasn't good. They found another set for me right away. I always get my tires here. Over the decades, there have been times when I've had a little money put away and times when I've had no money put away. Rarely does someone have $600 sitting around for a new set of tires when they realize it's time. These guys always give me the option of getting top-of-the-line tires all the way to getting a set of used tires (which have always done well for me and saved me tons of money when I needed the help). I recently had my car towed for a flat tire and realized I needed a whole new set. They had a very heavy workload that day but not only finished my tires in a timely manner, they let me keep my car parked in their lot because I had had ankle surgery and couldn't walk over and needed to wait for a ride. I know this doesn't sound significant, but it was inconvenient for them because they were trying to make space for all of their clients that day and they let me park there anyway simply out of kindness. Needed a used tire to replace one that got destroyed by pothole last night: arrived today around 11:00 a.m., was greeted immediately, quoted $70 for used tire, back on my way by about 11:15. Used tire is non-identifical but a really really good close match to rest of the tires on vehicle. Team assisted restowing our compact spare under the vehicle, and aired up all the other tires to spec. My very good friend came in this morning in need of a tire to replace the spare tire she was on. She normally goes to a place in Studio City, but they were not open yet. Anyways, she pulls in & asks how much for 2 used tires. (another one of hers needed to be changed as well) The guy tells her $50 each. She is used to paying $60 for 2 in Studio City, but she needs them now and the mechanic says "Well my boss isn't here yet". So she pays an extra $40 for the tires. grrrrrrr..... Here is what pisses me off..... Once the service is done the guy (she didn't get a name) says " What about a tip? People tip me. " ... WHHHAAAAT! My friend is now overwhelmed and feeling EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Trying to escape the awkwardness she reaches in her pockets and pulls out a couple dollars and hands it to him. :-/ (I would have said NO) turns around and heads for her car. THEN.... He calls out to her shouting, "What about my partners tip?" WWHHHHHAAAAT! This is UNACCEPTABLE!! No one should EVER feel like they have to tip. Waitresses don't even demand for their tips. A) If you don't get tipped it is usually because the customer is UNSATISFIED with the service. B) SINCE WHEN DO WE TIP MECHANICS??????? I have NEVER! Mostly because the services are already jacked up, we all know this. Unless you know the person; you are going to over pay. This is very SHITTY. read more

Excellent service from Luis at VNT. I always loved that landmark building that looks like a castle. Had to replace a tire which is easier said than done during social distancing -- hot tip, AAA does not permit people to ride with the tow truck drivers. So the car went to the shop, we managed details by phone, and 15 minutes later it was done for a fair price. He also checked the other three for me. I'll definitely come back next time I need help.
