I walked in with a nail in my tire that needed a simple patch. Now I know patches don't cost more than $20 MAX. The owner charged me $40 freakin dollars. I said but everywhere else I've paid max $20 and he said they don't patch I said but your worker said you do.. apparently it's a plug which to me is the same damn thing. I couldn't fight it because the work was already done so I said whatever paid and left. He said I should've asked before which moving forward I will but I'll never return back. The worker was kind. But nothing nice to say about the owner(the manager of this yelp account) and his hunger for money. Patching a tire has NOTHING to do with the type of car you have. It's a simple 10 min service. There was absolutely no one at the shop to say the $40 charged was for accommodating fast turn around. It was empty. On top of that when I questioned him he sounded annoyed that I even had the audacity to ask such a question. He looks at you car and bases his price off how much he can pull on you so if you have a less expensive car then you're in luck. When I came here with my Jetta about a year and a half ago he charged me $25 so that says a lot. I don't even care to return back so please don't respond back saying "we hope you'll try us out again" I won't. I'll take my car to be serviced back to the previous tire shop who charged me a reasonable amount. If the manager/owner is that money hungry then so be it but between his prices and his catchy ass attitude I won't be returning. read more

Great, clean shop. Reasonable prices. Their used tires are checked and in very good shape. I had a 255/50/19 tire to replace and I got a very good used for $70. To be honest the used one is a better quality make than the new ones on my SUV. I plan to return and replace all the others with quality tires. Place is family owned and ran very efficiently. The guys are kind and they handle my mom well so I knew they'd do the same for me. Trustworthy for sure. read more

I went inside to the "service" side and was told I needed to see the "tire" side (honest mistake). I went to the "office" where no one was inside. I also noticed that the restroom was open so I assumed the attendant must be with another customer. My run flat tire was flat I came in today, I was greeted by a man and he had me park my car and immediately told me it would be a certain amount for a used run flat tire.. 2 minutes later said my other tire needed to be replaced as well.. I tried to negotiate to get both replaced for a better deal but that didn't work... they're expensive here now even if it's a used tire. They are nice but since they help the high end dealer ships in the Sherman oaks van Nuys area they don't feel like they have to have accommodations for the little people that don't have so much money like the big dealerships. Get ready to spend about 180 for 2 USED tires. I have to look into another neighborhood tire shop that's not gonna cost me an arm and a leg. read more

Would give a 4 star because job was quick and fast , tire was about done and needed a patch for a day. Pulled up they take the tire off and screws in it and they tell me 30$ for a patch!? Couldn't really do anything at the point considering they already took the tire off and screws, over priced forsure can get one for about 15-20$, make sure to ask prices before any work done. read more

After calling several places and spending no more than a minute or two on the phone, I got a good vibe from this guy. He knew the price off the top of his head, and they got a lot of reviews so I had a feeling I could trust them. I came in, he was expecting me, took my car 3 minutes after I showed up, and after eating Syrian food at the delicious restaurant across the street, he charged me exactly what the quote was, and I was a satisfied customer out the door. My driver's side back tire was flattened by a screw this morning, which I had to wait 2 hours for roadside assistance and when he got there he was able to put my spare on the car but the spare was deflated so thankfully he was able to put air in it so that I could get around and get to work until I was able to get myself here! All I could do was hope I could find someplace without it going flat. Searched yelp and found very few places open on Sunday except for Van Nuys Tires. Got there without a flat. In under 10 minutes they had the tire off, repaired it, put it back on and backed the car out. I was almost too shocked to drive! And they were also very nice and polite. I recently visited Van Nuys Tires to replace my rear tires. They have reasonable prices, their service is fast, the shop is organized, and clean. The location is also not over crowded with cars. However, be mindful of the year of the tires they provide. Luckily my father taught me how the read the age of tire. For example, they gave be a tire that had a four digit number "0202", which means they were trying to give me a tire that was from the 2nd week of 2002. I did not want a tire that was 14 years old and the other 11 years old. So I asked if they can give me two tires that are no older than 5 years old. Jorge had a slight attitude and began speaking Spanish to his fellow co-workers. He appeared a bit upset based on his gestures but eventually they found tires that were close to what I had requested. Customer service is important to me from a fair and respectful standpoint from both the customer AND the business. Hence the 3-star rating. After that incident, I did some searching and found a new location called Sepulveda Tires (7750 Sepulveda Blvd). I have not visited yet but we'll see- it was a referral. read more

Love this place... Went to Sears for one tire.. found out I needed 3 more.. at $165.00 each.. could not afford all 4.. only got one that I needed. I read the other reviews on Yelp and took a chance called and asked if they had the used tires I needed and the cost. I spoke with Jorge who told me yes they had them and the cost was 35 each used tire.. it turns out I only needed 2 not 3 and I paid $70.00.. I am up and running once again... I had a totally flat tire from driving over some broken glass. I filled it as well as I could with air and sealant and slowly made my way over to Van Nuys Tire. As soon as I entered the parking lot, they directed me into the garage and got to work. In under ten minutes, my tire was patched up good as new. I went here after calling about a new pair of specific tires for my car. The said they had them and offered a great price. When I arrived, the man who I spoke to on the phone greeted me, and I again confirmed with him that I wanted brand X tires. They went to work. Thirty minutes later, one of the guys says it's time to pay. While looking over the service papers, I noticed that the tires written on the sheet were not the tires that I specifically requested. The man tells me that they do not have the tires I wanted -- however, he says the ones they installed were just as good as the ones I wanted. HA! The entire reason I came to this place was to buy a specific tire! I asked them to put my old tires back on, and I was on my way to a more reputable place. What a waste of time!
