Great, clean shop. Reasonable prices. Their used tires are checked and in very good shape. I had a 255/50/19 tire to replace and I got a very good used for $70. To be honest the used one is a better quality make than the new ones on my SUV. I plan to return and replace all the others with quality tires. Place is family owned and ran very efficiently. I pulled in on a Tuesday around Noon. They seemed quite busy. I stood outside my car for 5 mins and no one said a word to me. I went inside to the "service" side and was told I needed to see the "tire" side (honest mistake). I went to the "office" where no one was inside. I also noticed that the restroom was open so I assumed the attendant must be with another customer. However, the more I looked around, the more I realized nearly every person there appeared to work there. All wearing blue shirts. I waited at least 15 mins total and went completely ignored. I left. Called to get a quote for mounting and balancing 2 tires on a small sedan, $25 per tire. What a rip off. I called a couple other tire shops in the area and their prices ranged from $10-15/tire for the same service. My run flat tire was flat I came in today, I was greeted by a man and he had me park my car and immediately told me it would be a certain amount for a used run flat tire.. 2 minutes later said my other tire needed to be replaced as well.. I tried to negotiate to get both replaced for a better deal but that didn't work... they're expensive here now even if it's a used tire. They are nice but since they help the high end dealer ships in the Sherman oaks van Nuys area they don't feel like they have to have accommodations for the little people that don't have so much money like the big dealerships. Get ready to spend about 180 for 2 USED tires. I have to look into another neighborhood tire shop that's not gonna cost me an arm and a leg. read more

Would give a 4 star because job was quick and fast , tire was about done and needed a patch for a day. Pulled up they take the tire off and screws in it and they tell me 30$ for a patch!? Couldn't really do anything at the point considering they already took the tire off and screws, over priced forsure can get one for about 15-20$, make sure to ask prices before any work done. read more

After calling several places and spending no more than a minute or two on the phone, I got a good vibe from this guy. He knew the price off the top of his head, and they got a lot of reviews so I had a feeling I could trust them. My driver's side back tire was flattened by a screw this morning, which I had to wait 2 hours for roadside assistance and when he got there he was able to put my spare on the car but the spare was deflated so thankfully he was able to put air in it so that I could get around and get to work until I was able to get myself here! I recently visited Van Nuys Tires to replace my rear tires. They have reasonable prices, their service is fast, the shop is organized, and clean. The location is also not over crowded with cars. However, be mindful of the year of the tires they provide. Luckily my father taught me how the read the age of tire. For example, they gave be a tire that had a four digit number "0202", which means they were trying to give me a tire that was from the 2nd week of 2002. I did not want a tire that was 14 years old and the other 11 years old. So I asked if they can give me two tires that are no older than 5 years old. Jorge had a slight attitude and began speaking Spanish to his fellow co-workers. He appeared a bit upset based on his gestures but eventually they found tires that were close to what I had requested. Customer service is important to me from a fair and respectful standpoint from both the customer AND the business. Hence the 3-star rating. After that incident, I did some searching and found a new location called Sepulveda Tires (7750 Sepulveda Blvd). I have not visited yet but we'll see- it was a referral. read more

I read the other reviews on Yelp and took a chance called and asked if they had the used tires I needed and the cost. I spoke with Jorge who told me yes they had them and the cost was 35 each used tire.. it turns out I only needed 2 not 3 and I paid $70.00.. I am up and running once again...
