Oh they forgot my spoon to use to eat my soup.... never came back to check in for me to ask for either of those things. Second- the food quality. It is not even close to old akashi. Anyone who has ever had fatty tuna.. knows those things melt in your mouth. The one today? Fishy taste and poorly cut (it was tough to chew and stringy). The 20 dollar wooguhji? The barest of soups.. barely any cabbage or egg... it was sad. Lastly store appearance. Their bathroom give me icks.. the mirror was so greased streaky.. ugh. We wont be back for a long time, if ever again honestly. And anyone who eats sushi... your sushi plate that is served never looks.... questionable. This was a first for me. And the whole time there was only one or two other parties in the building at a time. It was basically dead for a dinner hour.

As a Japanese/American family, we know a LOT about good Japanese food. We were absolutely delighted to find that we have one of the best right in our own community. Previously known as Sakura II, Ozu852 is the new name and identity of this treasure. This is some of the best sushi and sashimi in the entire state and we've been very pleased with every other dish we've ordered. Our daughter usually only likes fish when we are in Japan, and she can't get enough of the wonderful and beautiful sushi created by the owner, Alan. If you are wanting to go for the freshest and best sashimi, go on a Thursday when their specialty orders come in. We really can't say enough how much we love this delightful little restaurant. *Don't be fooled by it's outward appearance. It's located in a small strip across from Kroger and you might think it's just like "every other Chinese place"; but it's not! Stop in and learn for yourself just how good it really is! read more

I travel often to ohio on business. Whenever I go I travel to Englewood Ohio to Ozu852. It has excellent Sushi. It's sushi is better than most restaurants in nyc. The service is so outstanding. The woman who runs the restaurant is so helpful. She is so friendly and knowledgeable. She knows all the ingredients and besides being so knowledgeable is so attentive. I'am from New York and the food @ Ozu852 is as good if not so much better then much of the New York food that I have had. The food is fresh and the sauces are succulent. Chef Alan has great imagination & skill. Every time I go there are always new specials to enjoy. I would highly recommend eating there. This place used to be so good but the last few times we have ordered, the quality has gone down hill. The food is now overpriced. The fried rice is basically just white rice with a little tinge of soy sauce for color. It doesn't have much taste. The sweet and sour chicken is usually always good. My husband and I ate lunch here on Friday 12/19 and it was delicious, by far the best in the area. We had General Tso's and Mangolian beef. The ingredients are top notch. Please don't let the outside fool you as it is in a strip mall. Our server was also very attentive and sincere in making sure everything was fine with us. read more

Very good food.. We did carry out so service was not an issue.. Only thing I would say bad was that there is an up charge if you want fried rice instead of just white. I have never had an up charge at other places so I didn't like that at all. read more

When we arrived at 6:50, we couldn't believe what we saw. The restaurant was absolutely packed with people sitting and standing wall-to-wall, all waiting on takeout orders. The line went straight to the door. I assumed the line was for placing orders, so I tried to pick up my prepaid order--only to be snapped at by multiple very frustrated customers who told me they were all waiting on their orders too. So we went to the very back of the line. What followed was surreal. The "system," if you can call it that, was this: someone would walk up, give their name, the worker would disappear into the back, and then reappear some random amount of time later--sometimes 10... sometimes 20 minutes--with food. There were long stretches where no one was even at the counter. As we waited, we talked to people who had been sitting there for over two hours for orders they were originally told would take 10-15 minutes. I thought they were insane for staying. Spoiler alert: I became one of them. One woman had been there two and a half hours waiting on a $100+ order for her family's Christmas Eve dinner (like us). When she finally asked again, the employee told her they didn't even have her order eventhough she checked in multiple times and was told it was being fixed. She walked out crying. What bothered me most was the complete lack of care. No apology. No concern. Nothing. At one point, another worker came out, looked at a restaurant full of exhausted people, and actually laughed. Meanwhile, they continued taking new online and phone orders. Absolute insanity. When it was finally our turn, they didn't have our order either. The employee walked away, came back much later, asked for my name again, and started the whole process over. It honestly felt like a bad SNL skit. Eventually she checked the tablet and realized she hadn't been looking at any online orders. By then it was after 8:15 PM. Our entire Christmas Eve evening was gone. When we finally received our food, we politely asked if there would be any kind of discount. The employee laughed, shook her head no, and said nothing else. No apology. No acknowledgment. Nothing. No one was rude to the staff. No one was yelling. People were incredibly patient because it was Christmas Eve. And that somehow made it worse. The way customers were treated was unbelievably dismissive and careless. We eventually got to sit down to eat as a family a little before 9:00PM If this is how they handle their business--and their customers--on a night that actually matters, then I'm happy to return the favor and never set foot in this establishment again.
