On a Sunday the water heater quit working, so we called Wint and he came within a few hours. He determined that the pilot light was not staying on and he tried to replace the part, but when he removed the old part he found the part to be a strange brand and difficult to get the part for. We decided to replace the water heater altogether and the very next day he arrived with the new water heater and with the help with a friend installed it. We could hear that they ran into trouble and it ended up taking twice the amount of time he thought it would take, but he showed me that the old heater had been dripping for years and soon we had (really) hot water again. We had a leak in a pipe that led to an outdoor spigot that caused extensive damage to our basement, which we discovered late on a Saturday. I could not get the water turned off to the pipe or repair the spigot myself because of erosion (old house), so I called P&D on Sunday morning and Wint was out to my home a few hours later. We've had P&D Plumbing install a new water heater, run pressure tests, unclog problem drains and so much more. They work very quickly, are always on time and do a great job for a reasonable price. They are the ONLY plumbers we have ever given referrals for. Another Yelp reviewer complained about scorch marks. We specialize in home repairs and based on the pics included in that review, the scorch marks are unfortunate, but entirely normal. They did no "extraordinary" damage.
