I have bought major appliances from PC Richard over the past 20 years. A year ago, I bought an LG washer &-dryer and purchased an 8-year warranty. The dryer is broken. I called to ask for service and they put me off for two weeks. When service finally arrived, they said the dryer needed six new parts, and only five were in stock. The sixth part arrived but they won't return to fix the dryer for another two weeks. I find this outrageously negligent. I will shop elsewhere in the future. Terrible experience all around. First they sold the appliances I bought after I bought them, so before delivery they suddenly became out of stock even though I already made the purchase. Then they would only deliver to the driveway, saying it wasn't their job to bring it inside. After some debate, they brought it in but dropped heavy boxes onto the floor, without any care, visibly annoyed for having to carry them further. Then, with one of the items damaged, they missed their follow-up delivery, despite me being quite clear that I wouldn't be available past a certain day and time. When speaking to a manager, all I got was a thank you for the feedback, and nothing else. After buying our appliances (large and small) and our computer equipment (both personal and business) from PC Richard for 30 years, they have dropped the ball big time and DON"T CARE. I bought a new dryer on on June 21, 2019 along with a 5-year extended warranty. On October 14, 2019 they dryer stopped heating at all. Over the next two months, PC Richards outsources two service calls to fix the dryer. Each day I drove 8 hours roundtrip to meet the service person. No show both times. Over the last 6 months I have repeatedly tried to schedule a new service appointment. PC Richards 800 service number sends you to GE. Then you answer all of GEs questions and they tell you to contact PC Richards. You try GE online scheduling - same response. Last Friday, I called the store where we bought the dryer. The Brick, NJ store. A lovely woman answered the phone took down all my information and sent an email to GE. She then gave me a number for GE to call if I didn't hear from them this morning. Didn't hear from them. Called GE 30 minutes on hold and answering questions to be told "call PC Richards". Called the PC Richards, Brick Store, asked to speak to the manager. Told I couldn't. I insisted. Finally, Sam came on the online. Are you the manager? "I'm one of the managers." "I'm going to send an email to GE"". "Nothing else we can do at the store level." Horrible custom service!! Beware! This review is regarding an LG refrigerator. It's been over 1 month, multiple repairs and the refrigerate is still not working at all. All my food has been lost. Customer service representatives have lied and promised a manager to call back. No one has contacted me. I called customer services 9 times without success or any help, they tell me a manager will contact and no one calls back. Shame on them for horrible service. Due to Covid that refrigerator was on back order. That refrigerator with it's features is the only refrigerator that would fit in my spot. He ordered the refrigerator and was very honest and said it could take 8 weeks before it comes in. I had no problem waiting. He kept me informed and told me where I was on the wait list. Few companies stand behind what they sell but PC Richard really does. A Frigidaire top of the line dishwasher completely failed after a very short time. Authorized repair persons, not the PC Richard's people, kept trying to fix it to no avail. PC Richard manager Eric got involved and sent us a new replacement and installed it at no charge to us. 2 weeks ago I was at the Bronx NY, Bay Plaza Mall store and asked a tall African Americn male salesman if they had Sony PS 5 Game consoles. He said yes come by in the morning. I did that and spoke to manager "Pierre" who told me they do not have any to come by on shipment days, maybe they will come in. I came by again on December 1, 2021, and another worker told me yes we will have PS5 tomorrow. I rushed home from work and spoke to another manager who said no we Dont. I will NEVER make another purchase from PC Richards again and advise everyone else to do the same. Bought a Whirlpool refrigerator in November 2019 and am still dealing with issues. I've had the entire unit replaced twice, the water dispenser repaired twice, and the freezer door repaired 3 times. I've spent countless hours on the phone and days taking off from work to deal with this headache. I paid for the full warranty at time of purchase but they refuse to give me another unit, despite the fact there is clearly something wrong. Customer Service is too worried about blaming the manufacturer (Whirlpool) instead of supporting a loyal customer of 25+ years. Our Flushing, Queens home desperately needed a makeover. So we recently remodeled our entire kitchen, and were looking to furnish it with brand new appliances. For a sizable investment, a friend suggested we use PC Richard & Son. I had my reservations. I was confident they were going the way of Circuit City and Nobody beats the Wiz... After research, I had the exact models of the appliances we wanted - HOWEVER, I noticed that neither Costco, Best Buy, nor Sears (r.i.p.) could match an unheard of 10 year warranty as PC Richard could. Our salesman, Allan, was polite, courteous and patient. Now, I've been to this location a few times and have dealt with other reps - but Allan has always shown interest in what we wanted, and always had a "let's find out all the details and make this work for you" attitude, which I didn't get from other associates I interacted with. When it came time to finalize the purchase of our 5 appliances (Bosch cooktop, KitchenAid dishwasher, LG fridge, Bosch wall oven, Zephyr hood vent) I voiced my concern in wanting to invest so much into a 10 year warranty in a company I was unsure that would be around in 10 years! Allan assuaged my concerns saying that PC Richard does not outsource their warranty to a 3rd party, in fact, there are PC Richard service technicians (about 70 he said) which serve the area. He also said while Circuit City and Sears were shuttering their stores, PC Richard was in fact OPENING newer stores (which I verified through my own research). I found his reasoning to be convincing, and my research supported his statements - so we bit the bullet and made the investment. He was also able to price match our LG fridge to Costco's price, saving us $200! We took advantage of the sale, and he said holding the appliances until when we wanted them would be no problem. That was great because we were able to lock in the price with a small down payment, which we were free to cancel and have refunded at anytime. When we were ready for delivery, I was able to text Allan and have him set it up (and even change the date! Thanks Allan!) - and the delivery guys came in the time-window promised, and professionally delivered the appliances! In summary, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Allan, and appreciate how he treated my mother and I with respect, courtesy and patience. It made the whole experience very warm and welcoming, and we truly felt like we had a friend helping us through a very busy time of renovations! Btw, I did eventually return to get a wall-unit AC (floor model) for a STEAL! Again, Allan hooked me up with a great price with warranty - just impressive customer service and value! I purchased a $797.00 leather reclining chair about a year and half ago. The leather has peeled from the top of the recliner to the entire seat. I sent an email about a week ago, and since I had not heard back from the email, I decided to wait 15 minutes on hold to speak to a representative. Quickly realizing (same day of delivery) that the appliance was not going to work for us, I had a very difficult time returning the item I bought. I was given the run around by the store and ended up being charged a 30% fee. So basically I spent hundreds of dollars with nothing to show for it. The manager was not helpful at all, and repeatedly told me he had to contact the district manager, and then wouldn't call me back. I would have to call him back and miraculously he had an answer from the DM each time. I spoke to PC Richard corporate who advised me that PC Richards has a two week buyers remorse period where they take back an item if it does not work out, (In this case excessively loud for my apartment.) but the manager did not care. I'm giving two stars because I did get a portion of my money back, and the salesperson was great to start out with. Just got a new tv from the store manager, Joe, in time for the SuperBowl. My old tv was a flat screen Sony 48' inch from PC. Ten years later, my family and I needed an update. Joe was very patient and answered all of our questions. We wanted a smart tv and a Samsung. Joe told us to try our picture in "Dynamic" mode and showed us in the store how it looked. Boy, was he right! My family and I watched Disney's "Inside Out" on the dynamic picture and it was the best quality I have ever seen. Joe asked us what was most important to us and we told Joe that our biggest concern was picture quality and he suggested the Samsung 6000 series over the 5000 series. We are so, so glad that we listened and he has made me a hero to my children. I can finally get Netflix and view YouTube videos on my tv. I am totally blown away by the quality of both this tv image and Joe's knowledge. I can't wait to watch New York Giants football on my new and awesome tv! Thanks Joe! I write with a heartfelt and utterly glowing review of the good people in this store and, in particular, Dino. I have previously purchased various appliances over the years, always without issue. On Thursday, June 1, 2017 I was under a phenomenal degree of personal duress which was met with the most spectacular degree of human kindness I have ever seen. My mother passed away suddenly and I was visiting from Arizona with a picture display that the funeral home dated technology could not accommodate. Without even being asked, Dino knew what to do. Not only did he identify a very reasonably priced television for purchase but he single-handedly knew what else to do, namely transfer all 180 photos onto a thumb drive, ensure the television would accept the thumb drive and show my wife and I how to operate it. It did not stop there, store employees opened and assembled the TV such that all we had to do was plug it in on our arrival at the funeral home. These people are genuine caring decent folks and Dino is at the very top of that list. After the funeral and before departing for Phoenix I returned to the store to attempt to again thank him personally. I purchased a washing machine from pc Richards. it was delivered 5 days later. When the delivery guys unloaded the machine, it was badly dented. It looked like it fell down a flight of stairs. The next day a new machine came. The delivery man was very nasty. He was supposed to install the new machine and dispose the old one. he was annoyed that the old machine was not disconnecte. He insisted that I get a plumber because the pipes were old . there was nothing wrong with the pipes. He just didn't want to be bothered. He left, leaving the old machine and the new one, which was blocking the entrance to my downstairs. He never gave us papers to sign. He told us to call him after the plumber came. Be careful when you shop at PCRichard! I spent over $1,000 at their store and wanted it delivered to my house. When their delivery driver finally came he did NOT put the box truck in park and it rolled and rammed into my car! The guy came out trying to push my bumper back into place and telling me to open my hood so he can "pop" the dents out. I kept telling him to stop and he wouldn't stop! I recently came to this location to purchased a new flat screen. I must say the experience was good from beginning to end. Convenient parking lot and great hours... The staff was extremely knowledgeable about there products. I did my homework before going in, because I like to be an educated consumer, but it wasn't needed. The staff was able to answer any questions I had in great detail. Best of all, I got a great deal on my flat screen. They made sure to give me the best possible price for my TV. The store itself is well kept, everything was displayed nicely and kept very clean. I hate when I'm looking at a dusty and/or dirty display model...not the case here.
