I was craving Hot&Sour soup so went here and got a bowl to go. It is the worst hot & sour soup I have ever had...and I have had lots. It was mostly a broth that was temperature hot but didn't have a bit of spice hot. It had a sweetness to it ...not sour. There was literally one of each of the ingredients - one tiny cube of tofu, 1 bamboo shoot, 1 tiny ear fungus and 1 egg drop slime. No meat, no mushrooms, no onion. So disappointing! The best hot&sour soup I have found in Asheville is at Typhoon Noodle and everything else there is good as well. read more

Took a side trip headed home to get some PF Chang's. My wife had the beef fried rice and I had the spicy chicken with brown rice. Our waiter was attentive to our needs and we were pleased with the service. Our food was delicious and we had enough for leftovers at home. Quite possibly the worst P.F. Chang's location l've ever eaten at. We were greeted and seated quickly near the bar. I noticed right away how dirty our booth was. It appeared when they wiped the table that they just wiped around the center. There was thick dust on the ledge around the booths. The bartender was our waiter. He took our drinks order, and we also ordered egg rolls as an app. I got hot tea, and my husband ordered a coke. The server/bartender brought my tea, no sweetener, nor asked if I needed any. He brought a sake cup for my tea to drink out of. I've order ginger peach tea dozens of times from Chang's, the sake cup was a first. Egg rolls were very over-fried and hard on the ends. I ordered Chang's chicken with extra sauce, not only did I not get extra sauce, I didn't get any sauce. The chicken was cold and appeared to have been setting for quite a while. My husband got Mongolian beef. It appeared just cooked the beef and added the onions as an afterthought., as they were completely raw. The server never bothered to remove any dirty dishes, or come to see if we needed refills on our drinks, or even ask how our meal was. This meal was a complete disappointment, and honestly not up to standards of what we normally get at other locations. I think this is clearly a management issue that needs to be addressed. read more

While in Hendersonville visiting our Aunt and Uncle, we had dinner at PF Changs. Tina was our server. She was very knowledgeable, helpful and extremely funny in a really low key way! She really added to our enjoyment of the drinks and meals. I opted for the $11.29 coconut mojito which was very good but not much kick. My sister got the Jade Margarita with a float of Cointreau. She said it was delicious and had a nice kick. We shared the pan fried pork dumplings that were seared on the bottom, stuffed with ground pork and the spicy sweet chili sauce was fantastic. I got the dinner special of Mongolian Beef that came with rice and an egg roll for only $17.99. The pieces of flank steak were very tender and delicious. I dug right in and forgot to take a picture. It has been years since my family last dined here. After this last visit, I'm done. I came in on a Saturday afternoon for a quiz lunch. The restaurant had maybe 6 tables with guests. However the floor was in need of a good sweeping. I should have left after seeing that. As a side note, it was on my way out that I noticed the restaurant's sanitation grade of 90. That may sound like an A but trust me, that's pretty horrible, actually. You'd be surprised to know what kind of thing contribute to that for a score. My server was delayed for some treason in coming to my table. I sat in a mostly empty dining room for 10 minutes. I was running out of time for my lunch break so I was about to leave when he showed up. I ordered a tea, egg roll app, and Mongolian beef. He brought my tea and my egg roll app and I never saw him again until after I had paid my check. The egg rolls were terrible. They were cold and I guess that happens when they are cut diagonally so that the most surface area of the interior is exposed to the air. They were greasy and cold. Their duck sauce used to be so good at PF Chang's but now it's just one note - sweet. The Mongolian Beef should have been called Mongolian Scallions with hints of beef. It was ridiculous how many scallions were in this dish. The brown sauce on the Mongolian beef was also weirdly sweet. This is not the OG recipe they used to have. My tea was dry and empty well before I finished eating. That is a cardinal sin for a server. I never saw him again until I had paid. I thought maybe there was a shift change because a young woman appeared to clear my plates and ask me if I wanted a refill on my tea or a tea to go. Because I thought my server had left, I gave her a 20% tip but then as I was leaving, my original server magically appeared and the only thing I can imagine is he was outside vaping or on his phone while he abandoned my table and any other he was supposed to be serving. PF Chang's is garbage Chinese food. Their recipes are all different and not for the better, the waiter I had (an older guy) was the worst server I've encountered in a long time, the restaurant was dirty when it shouldn't have been, and their sanitation score is unacceptable. When I was a server the motto I had drilled into my core was "If you've got time to lean, you've got time to clean!" Not so at PF Chang's. That dining room should have been spotless and it wasn't. If that's how they let a public area get with regards to trash on the floors....think about the places you don't get to see...like behind the line or in their walk in cooler. Yeah. The food wasn't even mediocre. It was bad. I honestly think a frozen PF Chang's dinner from the supermarket would have been better. Save your money and avoid this place at all costs! read more

I'd been craving asian for a while and I've only been here a couple of times. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken and I was convinced I got orange chicken instead, ver sweet glaze with slices of pineapple and onion. Wildly different than what I was expecting. The thing that saves this from being a 2 was my server, Mandy, who was an absolute ray of sunshine, and Bill, the manager that brought my food out and chatted briefly. We have ordered kung pao chicken there before. It comes with rice, steamed, or $3.00 extra for fried rice. We ordered fried. The meal we received was not Kung Pao. The chicken was battered (which Kung Pao chicken is not), and it was served over rice so who could tell whether the rice was steamed or fried!! An additional waste of 6.00. Normally the rice is served in a separate bowl and you spoon the Kung Pao over the rice yourself. The battered chicken was bad. Our server was very good and the Hot and Sour soup, outstanding. I ordered through DoorDash two times in the past 10 days. The food was good, but each time one pricey item ordered was missing. I called to inquire and was told to contact DoorDash for a refund. The food from PF Changs is sealed in large, difficult bags that need to be opened with scissors. How is that DoorDash responsible to know that PF Changs didn't fulfill their order? Plus, who can contact DoorDash for complaints? It's not DoorDash fault it's PF Changs. read more

Delicious Chinese food in Asheville. We got the chef's feast (3 courses starting at $20 per person) and it was incredible. Shared the vegetable lettuce wraps, got hot and sour soup and egg drop soup, and hot honey chicken and shrimp lo-mein. Both meals were very filling with enough to carry out. We are vegans so to my surprise the menu was completely reduced and I ordered the Brussels sprouts with lo mein and ending up throwing up. I was always a PF changs fan but total fail for me. Worst experience at a restaurant ever. We had 6:00 reservations and they absurdly overbooked the restaurant. I was told there was a 20 minute wait, which wasn't a big deal and I saw some friends waiting as well (who had 6:15 reservations). At 6:05 my friends were seated and we had to wait until 6:20...only to wait TWO HOURS for our food. The tables were packed in so tightly (the building far exceeded capacity, which was a safety issue) my chair was bumped into by the waitstaff and customers every few minutes. Five minutes into eating the food (half of the tables were empty by this time--many people got tired of waiting and had just walked out) staff decided to put the tables and chairs on the patio, propping the outside door open. Of course a cold wind was blowing right on us and we were freezing. I got up and closed the door, but they kept moving the furniture outside so we grabbed a box for our food (which became cold after a few minutes) and left. Waitstaff did the best they could, but it was a miserable experience. At a time when I rarely eat out because of the high cost, the management decided to pack diners in like cattle (to increase profit and overwork the staff)--and the noise was so loud it was like eating in a cafeteria. I've never seen a restaurant managed so poorly--I'm surprised they are able to stay in business. read more

Genuinely this place needs to update their systems regarding DoorDash or uber eats. I continually pick up from here every weekend when I do delivery orders and 9/10 times it is not ready and will continue to barely give us updates. On this current occasion I had come in and waited about 30 minutes for the order that was "just about to be out". On my app it said 8:34 pickup time and currently 9pm and haven't received it. I have been here since 8:25. I have only been updated twice and each time "we are working on it". I had to call the phone number for the business in order for them to come check on the order. Still nothing and my time and money is also suffering, as well as the customers that most likely won't come back because they are waiting almost 2 hours from the order to delivery of their food. The systems need to improve and responsiveness as well. It is disappointing because everytime I see P.F. Chang's on my app, I will always decline it. read more

We usually go to the PF chang's in charlotte but were in Asheville for the weekend. This was SOOO good! We had a 5:15 reservation and got seated right away. Fantastic Diet Coke, which is the first mark of a good restaurant. The ambiance is so much better than the one in charlotte- nice and open, windows, bright, light colors, super cool mural. Our food was very tasty and our waiter was friendly, professional, and efficient. The two hostesses, however, made an otherwise enjoyable evening into an unsolicited and an unwanted drama. We asked one hostess if we could be seated at a different table away from a very large party. She stormed off, leaving us standing in the middle of the half-full restaurant, and never returned. We sought out the manager who seated us at a quiet booth. As we were enjoying our drinks, another hostess came to our table to berate us for upsetting the first hostess and to tell us that they had been "working all day." It was jaw dropping! These two ladies need a new job. I hate to score so low because over the years we have come to know a number of wonderful staff there, and the food really is good, but the hostess staff deserve zero stars for spewing their drama onto our evening out. read more

We eat here on occasion. This specific time, In mid October, our dishes were lacking in sauce and did not look anything like they are pictured online. However, still pretty good when we requested extra sauce. Our rewards had given us a free appetizer, and we ended up with two free because one extra had been sent out by mistake. Our waiter, I wish I could remember his name, was outstanding, super friendly, and just a nice human. We enjoyed talking with him and it was just overall a pleasant dinner he helped provide. I do wish they would bring back Changs for 2, we would eat here again more often. This location has always been clean but needs a bigger waiting area that isn't beside the door where you freeze during the cold months.
