    Snow Crab California Roll

Good sushi, Good service, I would visit again. This was a nice dining experience and the food was fresh. They add a lot of extra sauces and stuff and I tend to like very plain, traditional rolls. They were very accommodating and made my sushi just the way I like it. The restaurant is small and the decor leans toward dated but the staff was friendly and the food fresh. This is not a fancy high end sushi place but it is a great take out or quick meal place to grab a bite. It was fairly quiet when we were in the restaurant, being the weekend before all restaurants went to carry out only. I think people had already started staying home.

We are new to Asheville and decided to try Mr Sushi because it's close to where we live. We always enjoy supporting local 'Mom n Pop' businesses, as opposed to corporate, and we were not disappointed. It almost feels like grandma is lovingly making your favorite dish from behind the sushi bar. The service was excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. He didn't seem to mind at all that we ordered sushi 3 more times after our initial order. The sushi is fresh, well prepared, and delicious. The atmosphere is laid back, unpretentious (it's located in a small strip mall) and simple in decor. This is a welcoming place with great food and my family and I were able to relax and enjoy our time together after a long week. We're definitely going back for more.

10/10 will be back! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was outstanding! And the food came at a great price. Some music would have been good but I just enjoyed the company I was with anyway. Make sure when you go to pay attention to the chalkboard behind the register because there are specials on the board. We got 20% off on the hibachi chicken. We will be going back to get more sushi and to try the katsu next.

For Valentines Day my husband and I decided sushi in the sunshine was what we wanted, and our to-go order from Mr Sushi made the day deliciously special. I got the NY Roll - highly recommend!

Dragon roll, crab Rangoon roll, & tasty Inari roll with shrimp. May not be able to tell from the pics-- these are the biggest rolls ever!

So far this is the best sushi I've tried in Asheville. I'm on the hunt for better (and open to suggestions) and this is as good as it gets here. My favorite part, besides the tasty sushi, is the prices are affordable for such huge portion sizes. The largest sushi rolls! My only complaints are the menu is limited, after a handful of visits, it feels like we've tried everything. And some items are hit & miss. Didn't care much for the tempura shrimp or chicken spring roll wraps that were a special for the week. We love the Inari rolls, sweet and spicy, and a nice twist on a sushi roll. Also the crab Rangoon is good, the Carolina roll, spider roll, and scallops roll. I definitely prefer Mr. Sushi to Green Tea and Wasabi. Just know that it's not the fanciest and next to a gas station, and you won't be disappointed.

"What kind of sushi place is this??" Says my husband as we pull into a gas station lol Intimate, cute place with good sushi. Three rolls between the two of us. Husband got the crab rangoon tempura roll, which was so good! I'd definitely get that in another visit. Carolina roll for me was kinda meh. Not much flavor, just a tad spicy and quite massive. It's difficult fitting some sushi in your mouth and this was one of those. Philly salmon roll was the basic cream cheese salmon roll and it was really good. So far the first sushi joint we've had here and I'd go back.

    Lunch specials 9/21/19.

The overall experience was good but not exceptional. Being combined with a gas station kind of sets the tone. Inside of the restaurant is modestly decorated. Portion sizes are good for the price especially on the lunch menu. The spicy roll was not spicy at all so that was a bit disappointing. Cleanliness grade was 96.5 at the time of our visit. Waitress was friendly and quick to respond for refills. Bathroom was of average cleanliness. I would go again for the value and overall taste of the meal, but not necessarily for any other reason.

So so good and very reasonably priced. Don't let the fact that it's attached to a gas station throw you off. Absolutely a hidden gem!

We had made a reservation previously and were sat immediately when we arrived. From beginning to end, everything was absolutely fantastic. I started with the sake flight and my husband had the whiskey flight. For our meals, we decided to do the tasting meal so we would have a variety of foods. Both the drinks and food were beyond exceptional. I couldn't tell you my favorite dish because everything was just so good. Even though the portions were small, by the time we left, we were absolutely stuffed. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting to celebrate something special, or want a great experience. I'm definitely going to tell friends and family they should visit as well.

The restaurant is just beautiful and seating capacity is great--inside and outside. If weather is nice and permitting outside, you get a beautiful view of the mountains. The interior has a full bar and modern-decor. The menu features lots of creative fusion dishes. I enjoyed the avocado salad more than I expected. Maybe it was the ginger lemon dressing. It's light and filling. The ramen bowls are rich and the miso vegetarian Ramen is much more bold, flavorful than I had expected. The carrots and roots were caramelized with a sweetened hint. The ramen bowls are generous in size. I'm bookmarking this place to come back!!! The waitresses gave us several recommendations and her shows through her service and her recommendations of local shops to explore after our dinner.

It is located in downtown Asheville so there is no immediate parking lot but there are some places nearby or street parking, The inside is very modern and there is seating both inside and outside. Our server was very friendly and service was very prompt! My family got the Lo Mein with Chicken, Chow Fun with Beef, Sautéed String Bean, Buddha Bean Curd Rolls, Crystal Shrimp Dumplings, and Spicy Chicken. I loved the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings! The wrapper was very tender and the shrimp filling was delicious. It tasted very authentic to me. I also loved the Sautéed String Bean as it had the right amount of garlicky sauce. The Lo Mein was made with thinner than usual noodles but still tasted good. I think the Chow Fun tasted a bit off. It kind of tasted a bit sweet and like drunken noodles at some points as opposed to the traditional smoky flavor that the dish has. The rice noodles that were used were also thin as opposed to the usual wider noodles. As for the Spicy Chicken, it tasted solid. I liked the slight crisp before biting into each piece and it was not really spicy. I definitely tasted the cumin (I am not a super big fan of), which is a popular flavor found in Szechuan cuisine. Overall, I think this is a nice spot for some Chinese food, especially being near the mountains which is more isolated. I would probably rate it a 3.75/5 stars if I could. I wish chicken feet were part of their dim sum menu (it is pretty small and there are no rolling carts in case anyone is wondering). I do think some flavors of the food I tasted seem to cater a bit more to the Western taste palate (my parents agree as well), but I enjoyed my time here.

We had a lovely talk about food and how wonderful the food was. The food is authentic and spice can be adjusted. It was my bf first time having Pho and he would definitely be ordering it again. Next we had the pork shumai. Boy was this delicious. Came with 5pcs and a delicious plum sauce. I definitely will order this again. Last I ordered the Sesame chicken. I would easily say the star of the show. The breading on the chicken was light and crispy with a perfect thick glaze sauce. The side of jasmine rice made it a great hearty meal. This place was a fusion of Asian foods so I'm usually a bit reluctant to order anything too crazy so we stuck with what we knew. Spring rolls were fresh and tasty. Haven't had it with bell peppers before but it was good with the sauces. Green curry had good flavor but a touch loose for how I usually like it. Ginger salad came really overdressed so we didn't eat too much of that but we really liked the cucumbers. Whatever that sauce it was tossed in was very pleasant. We also enjoyed the stir fried eggplant dish with shrimp. It had a nice sweet and tangy flavor. Lastly I ordered the pad see ew, noodles cooked really well and all the textures were there. I could taste the char from the wok but it did lack that "sweet soy" flavor I'm looking for in this dish. I would say overall we enjoyed most of the dishes and some just needed a bit more flavor but it was still a good experience.
