We decided to visit this place while in the area. My whole family loves Asian fusion cuisine, and we were recently introduced to P.F. Chang's, so we were excited to give this location a try. Overall, we all enjoyed our food. Even on a holiday, we didn't have to wait long to be seated, which was a pleasant surprise. Matt did a great job serving us he was attentive, friendly, and quick with anything we needed. We never had to wait long for refills or requests. The only reason I'm taking off one star is because they didn't have sushi, which was something we were hoping for. read more

Can't the Chef modify the menu at all? My wife has an allergy to corn and all of P.F. Chang's sauces have cornstarch in them. Even the soy sauce which I thought was strange. Management was nice enough to identify what she could have on our recent visit. The manager also said that the low sodium soy sauce they use doesn't have cornstarch in it. However, my question is; why can't the Chef or one of the cooks make, for example, fried rice using the low sodium soy sauce? Are they that bad that they don't know how to modify a recipe? I've been to many places that modify their menu to accommodate an allergy. I got the firecracker shrimp with brown rice. The shrimp was tasty but not as hot as i'd like it and a little on the sweet side. My wife did get a nice salmon dish which was fine for her allergy and she did enjoy it. I always pay PF Changs a visit when I'm in Atlantic City. It's an absolute must!! The spare ribs are my favorite menu item from here, both the bbq AND the Northern Style Ribs! They always hit!! I always get it with the fried rice. I also always look forward to the sweet and spicy coleslaw that accompanies the ribs, but I didn't get any with my most recent order sadly. He was so patient, answered all of our questions with a smile and my partner enjoyed the dish he suggested. I always skipped coming here when visiting Tropicana but I'm happy we stopped here! The prices are affordable. It's not surcharged upwards. Food was great - no complaints at all. The food quality was good and there was no wait. We were seated on the bottom level of the restaurant so there was plenty of space and it was quiet. We LOVE the P.f. chang's in AC. We've sat at the bar and downstairs at a table and both were great. It is beautiful in there. The service is always great. Took Mom to AC for her retirement...We had reservations for 530, had a bit of a wait, but it wasn't long...We walked into the restaurant and they took us downstairs, the first thing I noticed was the cherry blossom tree...What an eye catcher! It's right in the middle of the floor! Absolutely Beautiful! We sat down and shortly after we were greeted by our waitress, Flora. We were kind of indecisive on what we wanted and she was patient in helping us decide. We ordered two dishes to share, PF Changs Shrimp and the Changs Chicken...Both were cooked exactly how we requested, we shared because the portions are known to be large and they actually were. I hate to submit this most recent review since this restaurant has been a long time family favorite. But our last visit this weekend was terrible. My husband liked his meal so that's the reason for even getting 1 star. My food was terrible. The $9 wonton soup single serving was inedible. Completely salty and tasted only of soy sauce. I asked our server to return it and remove it off our bill. My Kung Pao chicken was also terribly salty but I was starving. Too nervous to return my second dish of the meal so I ate it with as much sauce scraped off as possible. Dessert was ok. We paid the bill, choked over the prices and left in a hurry. Came here for the all day HH option along with dinner. The HH is only available at the bar so it gets crowded pretty fast. This restaurant is located in the Quarter section of the Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. We were greeted by a pleasant host and taken to our bar area seating. We were greeted by a pleasant bartender who was also our server. We ordered from the HH menu the pink lotus Cosmo ($5), fried crab wontons ($10) , and the fried shrimp dumplings ($10) and for dinner got two 3 course meals that included soup or salad, appetizer, and main entree. We settled on the egg drop soup, spring rolls, one order of the sesame chicken with brown rice and the other was the honey garlic chicken with white rice. Everything arrived hot. The soup was lacking in taste, but was hot. The shrimp dumplings were fried perfectly and came with a spicy chili sauce, which was good. The crab wontons were crispy and good as well. The spring rolls were sliced lengthwise and crispy and good. The sesame chicken was good, accompanied by broccoli that was cooked just right, not mushy. We had an issue with the honey garlic chicken. A piece was raw ( the bartender apologized and asked if we wanted to speak to a manager, but we declined as it was only one piece) but otherwise a good taste. The pink lotus cosmos were pretty sweet with just a hint of liquor taste. All in all, with the exception of the raw piece of chicken we got (one star deducted) it is a pretty good place to enjoy a decent HH and other food options. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! All the five star reviews with no explanation have to be fake reviews.. I am writing to express my disappointment with our visit to P.F. Chang's at Tropicana on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. My family of five chose to dine there to celebrate my daughter's high school graduation--her favorite restaurant--but the experience was frustrating from beginning to end and failed to meet even the most basic standards of service. We had an 8:30 PM reservation and arrived on time, but our table wasn't ready. While waiting by the fountains, the host--unable to pronounce my first name--shouted my last name across the restaurant, which felt awkward and unprofessional. When we approached, she told us the table wasn't ready, despite a text I had just received warning our table would be released if we didn't check in. I mentioned this, and she told me to ignore it--then announced moments later that our table was ready. After being seated, we reviewed the menu and waited. Nearly 15 minutes passed with no greeting or drink order, while other tables around us were already being served. I returned to the host stand to ask if anyone had been assigned to our table. I also mentioned this had happened before--just a month earlier. A nearby server then said, "I'm your server, I'll be over shortly." She had already walked past our table several times without acknowledging us and didn't return right away. When she finally took our order, it took another 10 minutes to get our drinks. My husband and I both ordered beers, and I asked for a Blue Moon, which was served without a glass or orange slice. The server never returned so I could ask, and I saw her chatting with the bartender rather than checking on guests. Our appetizers were delivered by a food runner. My soup was lukewarm, and the $18 lettuce wraps came with only four small lettuce leaves--not nearly enough for the portion of filling. I asked for more lettuce and was told it would cost $0.99. I agreed, but by the time it arrived, we had already finished the dish. The cauliflower appetizer came out with the entrées. The food runner who brought our entrées didn't know what he was serving, referring to items vaguely as "chicken" or "shrimp." One daughter's order was wrong, but we were too frustrated to wait again and just ordered her a replacement meal to-go. The server barely checked in. My husband asked for another beer and my son for water--neither was ever brought. The replacement meal took 30-35 minutes, and the server claimed she waited in the kitchen to ensure it was correct. Then it took another 10 minutes to bring the check. We had to flag down a different server just to get to-go boxes. Though we had considered dessert, it was never offered, and at that point, we were too disappointed to ask. Despite everything, we left a $30 tip. The food was mediocre at best. My son's sesame chicken was dry and flavorless, my shrimp tasted like it came from a fast-food chain, my other daughter's lo mein was dry and looked old, and my graduate daughter's meal had to be reordered. The total came to $246. My husband and I have both worked in the service industry and typically tip generously--$75 to $100 on meals like this--but this experience didn't justify it. We also noted there was no manager checking on tables. The next day, June 18, I called the restaurant and spoke to a manager. I explained everything, including my previous poor experience at the same location. He apologized and, without me asking, said he would send something to make up for the poor service--especially since it was a graduation dinner. He took my name, address, phone number, and email, and promised to follow up. As of July 1, I have received nothing--no call, email, or letter. P.F. Chang's used to be a reliable spot for quality food and service, with portions that matched the price. That clearly isn't true anymore. The lack of follow-up from management only confirms that my concerns weren't taken seriously. I eat here everytime I come to Atlantic City. Ordered over the phone and picked up. The young lady who answered the phone was very helpful and polite , explaining the difference between special dinner portions and full dinner. When I arrived to pick up the food it was a 10 minute wait even though she told me 10 minutes on the phone and I waited 5 minutes to leave my room. Food was delicious, I ordered the Mongolian beef dinner. I did add shrimp and asked for the shrimp on the side. They were just normal shrimp. I would've liked if they had some seasoning on it. My family and I were staying in the Tropicana and this was one of the restaurants that was in the hotel so it was a no brainier that we dined here for one of our meals. Now that I think of it, this may have been my second time dining there as I went for a cousins birthday dinner many years ago. My partner and I live in Absecon and we ordered takeout from the Atlantic City location via door dash - we ordered the Chicken Lettuce Wraps & The Crispy Honey Shrimp , Strawberry Limeade drink & for dessert Banana Spring Rolls. PF changs for me is so overrated as a Chinese restaurant. Maybe because I've never had it until my adult years, and my version of Chinese food is take out from neighborhood spots, that it makes P.F. Chang's just really mid. I ordered the orange chicken with fried rice and some egg rolls for an appetizers. Their egg rolls are good. I really did enjoy them. But what is up with the crispy noodles at the bottom of each dish? I never understood why they were there? I also had the sticky ribs which were delicious. I ordered a pomegranate lemonade which was to die for. The service was cool. We sat at the bar to have our meal. The wait time wasn't bad. The service was also okay. Out and about in Atlantic City and staying at the Trop for a friend's birthday, our group of 4 was torn between Carmine's, Chelsea Gastropub, or P.F. Chang's and P.F. Chang's won out. Like any restaurant in the Quarter, it's geared towards tourists and can get very busy, very quickly. We got seated about 10 minutes after our reservation time and did the meal family style: two orders of steamed pork dumplings, an order of steamed shrimp dumplings, Mongolian beef, Chang's spicy chicken, and crispy honey chicken. Service was friendly, if overwhelmed given the size of the restaurant while the food was on point: the dumplings were juicy with an tangy, gingery sauce. The beef was meltingly tender though a bit salty, while the crispy chicken has enough zing from the chili sauce and the shrimp was just sweet enough. Happy Hour Menu has fake prices. Multiple signs in front of the restaurant advertise 1/2 off 1/ 2 portion appetizers. Sat at the bar and was given full menu first. Said , there was a special happy menu- This menu is a scaled down menu that matches item descriptions from full menu. However, prices were only around 10 percent off regular prices. Bartender could not answer about the different prices than advertised. I got up and asked the host. Showed her the full menu 1/2 portion prices, the happy hour menu and the sign saying 1/2 price appetizers during happy hour . These prices are not correct. She tries to call a manager , no one would answer. Then , she goes downstairs for about 10 minutes. Comes back and says Manager said prices are correct. After 8 hours of grueling CPE, I decided to visit PF Chang's for dinner and cocktails on this dreary Monday in Atlantic City. It was the right choice. PF Chang's offers a Asian bistro atmosphere and a robust dinner & drink menu. Instead of waiting over an hour to sit and eat, I opted to sit at the bar for my food and drink. Tonight, I was more thirsty than hungry so I ordered the Northern style pork spare ribs and red dragon margaritas. Both were excellent.
