Got take out tonight, got home and found that our Kung Pao shrimp was way too salty. So salty, almost inedible. And also uncomfortably spicy because of many many whole chile peppers in the dish. And not much else except the overly salty shrimp. Too salty is inexcusable. I can always add more salt if I want it. It leaves me feeling very thirsty and nauseated and it is bad for my high blood pressure. If I had been dining at the restaurant I would have sent the dish back. I will not go to this restaurant again. And it wasn't cheap -- what a waste. read more

One of the great things about PF Changs is that they are consistent no matter where in the country you go. The exception may be their Durham location. We have had to go up to Duke on numerous occasions and always stop at PF Changs for lunch or dinner. The service on the last three visits has been so slow and tedious. We always sit at the bar and the staff is great. The kitchen obviously is the problem. Wait twenty minutes for appetizers, and they don't all come at the same time. Finish appetizers then wait another twenty minutes for entrees. You would think that an operation the size of PF Changs could bring out food in a timely manner. We have never had this issue at any other PF Changs. As I stated the bar and wait staff are fantastic! Food is always consulted but I miss the old days when you could mix your own sauce. read more

I really love this chain, and visit here often. This was our first time to this specific location and we were slightly disappointed. The sushi was really subpar, I've had better grocery store sushi just as a comparison. The one on glenwood is amazing, so this location just needs to step up. This restaurant used to be delightful for a chain restaurant. They've recently made changes to their presentation and menu that have made it not worth our effort to find a parking spot. The Mongolian Beef used to be savory, nicely spiced, and delicious. On our last visit 2-3 weeks ago, it was flavorless and chewy. The Buddha's Feast has gotten overly salty. The mix-it-yourself condiments were replaced with a boring bowl of something not good. They did away with the tasty lemon chicken awhile back. The garlic snap peas were mushy. It's your typical Chinese American bistro so it's either too salty or too sweet. Either way, the food is okay. However, this P.J. Chang's does not live up to other locations. The Crabtree one is far more superior in terms of service and hot food. But this location isn't too bad and the service is okay! The combo lo mein (comes with all the meats and some vegetables) wasn't too bad and the portion size (for dinner) was huge! Chicken lettuce wrap appetizer was burned. How do you burn a chicken lettuce wrap? Mongolian beef had way too much scallions, not enough beef and was way too salty to eat. Vietnamese noodles with shrimp and steak was burned also. The rice was under-cooked, hard and inedible. I am now constantly burping and will probably throw up. Made reservations 2 months in advance. Confirmed 3 times and once we arrived we were told they only had one table to seat a party of 8 and were still waiting for the prior people to leave. Only to find out that was a lie. Finally 35 minutes later they split us up at two different tables across the room from each other. Next we ordered sushi as an appetizer. Never arrived. Ordered the Lobster and shrimp rice to be told they no longer had it, but yes on the menu as "New". Finally ordered beef and broccoli which could not eat due to pure salt. Once we got ready to leave sushi arrived but the rice was crunchy and raw. They offered free dessert to make up for it which we had to take to go due to being so late. Never again will I go there. Hungry tonight - asked wife to meet me at bar at PF Changs at 7:00 Pm ( today is 6/23/2019) Usually order drinks first - but they got my meal wrong last time so decided to order meal first this time. Ordered MaPa Tofu and took the time to tell the waiter ( blond curly haired guy ) to make sure the broccoli is well done ( PF Changs is notorious for cooking broccoli so that its still raw and hard ) - I further explained to him that they goofed it previously and to be sure to let them know. He then repeated my wife's order and my order saying "broccoli well done...got it". The MaPa Tofu came out with practically raw broccoli. I mentioned it to waiter and he took the meal back into the kitchen and we had to wait another entire order time to get the replacement. The broccoli was harder than the first attempt when it finally came out. The cooks are busy and lots of kitchen movement - apparently sacrificing quality for speed. My suggestion is to only go there when it is not busy - because no matter how long you take to make sure they get the orders correct the first time, they simply will not do it. The waiter said "sorry" both times - a good waiter would have made sure it was right the second time. He was busy and simply did not care - probably thinking that the tip was not worth it -But - had he gotten it right the first time- there would have been two Makers Marks and one Margarita that would have followed - we always order those drinks. The waiters are not trained - so its not their fault. Vegetarians who love vegetables....stay away from PF Changs. Non Vegetarians - Don't go to PF Changs when its busy. read more

Came to this location on 2/23 to celebrate my husbands birthday. We had Kevin as a server. I arrived at the restaurant with my two young children first as my husband was coming from his job. I explained to our server that we were celebrating a birthday and I ordered a dessert for my husband and one for my children to come after the meal as a surprise for him. The server agreed and stated this wouldn't be a problem. My husband arrived and we ate our meal. The food was good and was served hot. At the end my kids were waiting for the dessert to be brought and were excited to surprise my husband. The server never brought dessert. He also never asked if we wanted any dessert. He simply brought the check, dropped it on the table and walked away. Being that I was a server all through college I don't understand how he could have forgotten as we had a whole conversation about it. It was a Tuesday night and the restaurant wasn't busy. The server also appeared to only have a four table section. I was also annoyed that he didn't even ask if we wanted dessert after our meal. I could have said something when he came to pick up the check but I was annoyed by then. My kids were bummed as they had been excited to surprise their Dad. Good food, so-so service. NOT kid friendly. Brought my four and one year old here during Hurricane Matthew. To be fair, the restaurant was overwhelmed with the take-out line and a chef out sick. We waited about 30 minutes for our food to come out and my kids were going bonkers. Kids meal arrived with "honey sauce" that tasted like it had cayenne pepper in it. The kids could not reach the sink in the bathroom, even when I lifted them up, because of the "trough" style plumbing. I had to hold my daughter in the superman position so that she could wash her hands. Sigh. Guess we'll need to stick to getting a babysitter to go out to eat. read more

I ordered take out through grubhub and not only did they not include the crispy noodle things that always come with the honey crispy chicken, but the sauce tasted like they were low on it and mixed it with water. Went here with my adult son hoping for some time together and a good meal. VERY, VERY disappointed with the service tonight. We each ordered a beer, appetizers and an entree (to share). Took a long time to get our first beer. My son's appetizer came after a wait and I was told mine would be out shortly. Kept waiting. No appetizer. Finally, our entree was delivered, but I still did not have my appetizer - at which point I told them I did not want it now that the main course had arrived. The manager, Matthew, came over, apologized and gave me a coupon for a free appetizer at my next visit - also ask my son if he wanted another beer - on the house - which he accepted. The entree was luke-warm, at best and was downright cool before we were finished with it. I suspect it sat at the kitchen waiting for pick-up for some time. The second, free beer never arrived until I personally walked up to the wait-stand to ask where it was. Again, I was offered another apology, but that was about all. I have eaten at this PF Chang's location in the past on numerous occasions and had experienced some lackluster service on some of those occasions, but nothing like tonight. Favorite for Chinese food. Quite decent for a chain. Chang's Spicy Chicken never gets old. Selection of beer on tap is weak, however.

We eat here at this PF Chang's quite frequently. Love their specials when they give you a free $20 gift card when you purchase $100 in gift cards. The food is consistently good and service very good as well. I have only had one bad item here and that was a meal that included a fish fillet. The fish was dry, over cooked, and not flavorful. What did I do about; two things: one, complain and got a different menu item, and two; never order fish dishes there again. After all, if I want decent fish I can go to Bonefish Grill or other restaurant that specializes in seafood. All the other dishes that I have tried have been very good though. Some of my favorites include Mongolian Beef; Shrimp with Walnuts and Melon; and Chang's Spicy Chicken. Again, the atmosphere and location are nice, the waiters and waitresses usually very professional, and the food and drinks overall pretty darn good. The bar is pretty cool too! read more

This PF Changs is terrible cooking wise. I went last night and 2 weeks ago and the food tasted really bad compared to before. I am (was until these last 2 experiences) a fan but now I have to say that they have messed up big time. I used to order a PadThai and 2 weeks ago they gave me angel hair pasta with that plus the sauce was really bad. The waiter did not even refilled the water and took forever to come to the table initially and serve food. Last night the waiter was good and attentive but the padThai again was nasty. Very sour and spicy instead of the typical sweetness of the sauce. No eggs on the pad thai either. I'm very dissatisfied and would not go back to this location. I truly hope this is not the same trend in other P.F. Chang's as I use to love it. read more

Really like PF Changs. Did not give 5 stars cause it's a bit pricey, esp for drinks even a soda for goodness sakes! Also, the wait is ridiculous and it's loud in there. When it comes to why you came, the food is always flavorful and they keep their quality standards up. If you order the same dish, you get it the same way every time. We have several favorites: chicken lettuce wraps, Mongolian Beef, Chang's spicy chicken, dan dan noodles, double-pan fried noodles. They don't really have the classic chicken fried rice but their own take. Whatever we've tried there, we've thoroughly enjoyed. read more

I was disappointed in the take out service. The server got an item on our order wrong. When I called to complain about it the manager, Jason, offered to replace that one item. I had to explain to the manager I lived 15 minutes away and a round trip of 30 minutes would mean the rest of the items would be cold by the time I got back. This isn't the first time a restaurant has gotten my take out order wrong but this is the first time a restaurant made me fight for what I felt was fair compensation for me having to come back. read more

Usually PF Changs is really good, but on this occasion in the service was bad and the food was bad as well. When I ordered online it said that my food will be ready in 20 minutes. So I headed over to the restaurant and got there 2 minutes late. My food was not ready and I had to wait 20 minutes. The cashier was not at the counter when I arrived in a waiter asked me if I didn't help. He was really nice however, the cashier did not greet me, she swiped my card and I asked her if I would get a receipt, and she was like well if you want to tip then you can but otherwise you don't need to. I explained to her that I wasn't concerned about the tip I was concerned about whether or not I was going to get a receipt and she never answered my question she just kept repeating it over and over. When the food was finally ready, the manager came out to bring my food and she attempted to sit it on the bench that I was just sitting on. I had to ask the manager to take my food back to the counter so I could look in the bag to make sure it was correct. And even she acted like she had an attitude. The food has no seasoning and did not live up to the name that it said. I ordered a new lobster eyes in the only good part about it was the lobster there big clumps of white rice in my bowl that you can see in the picture in the rice is extra mushy. I don't know what's going on there with them , but I hope they get it together soon or I will not be back ever! read more

It was me and my boyfriends first time here and we went with a group for a family birthday. As soon as you walk in the waiting area was so small I couldn't believe it, it felt so packed I didn't know where to stand. The hostess seemed a bit snobby when we asked where our party was seated she said she didn't have anyone there by that name which wasn't accurate. We finally got that figured out and were sat at the "captains table" which happens to be behind the bar and directly in front if the kitchen.. a very awkward place for a table to be, it was a bit noisy and there was a lot going on. We could see directly into the kitchen and not a single person was wearing gloves which I found very disturbing. The rating already wasn't very high so I wasn't very thrilled.. my meal came out fine it was okay the dynamite shrimp and egg drop soup was great! But I wasn't too fond of my kung-pou chicken. I probably won't attend this place again. It's not my cup of tea. read more

My wife and I had a reservation and ate there last night. We were seated at the table closet to the door, which was very cold and drafty. When I asked for a more acceptable table, hostess was rude and condescending and refused, pointing out that the "good" tables were for reservations. When I pointed out that we also had a reservation, her only response was that she had to endure being near the cold entrance also. I asked to speak to a manager (which I never saw), but was then reseated. Waiter was good, but attitude of hostess ruined the entire dining experience. read more

Terrible service about sums it up! We came at around 11:30 for lunch. The place was fairly empty and nobody outside even though the day was beautiful. We asked to sit outside to take advantage of the beautiful weather. Our server came over took our drink order and gave us menus. Our order came with side salads and our server brought those to us......that was the last time we saw our server. After waiting 40 minutes for our meals, and again no sign of our server, another server brought us our food and apologized and said that our original server was busy with tables inside......I know now why people eat inside here and not on their beautiful patio. Fast forward and the meal is finished and NOBODY came to check on us, refill drinks, or even bring us a check. We had to go inside and flag down someone and ask for our check. Again we waited on the patio and still no check. I'm pretty certain at this point we could have walked out and not paid and nobody would have remembered us, but that is not our style so again my husband went inside with a credit card in the air begging to pay so we could leave and get our toddler home for her nap. Paid and left, all without seeing our server who was just too busy with the other tables inside. Amazing crispy green beans, all other food mediocre at best! My husband and I went to P.F. Changs for dinner this past weekend as part of our 24th Anniversary celebration. We decided at the last minute and it turns out there was quite a wait. We decided to sit at the bar and have a drink while we waited. Our bartender, Jonah, made our night. He invited us to stay at the bar rather than go to our table. He learned and made my favorite drink. We ordered the spare rib appetizer, Firecracker Chicken, and Pepper Steak...ALL of it was fantastic. At the end, Jonah surprised us by taking our app off the bill and adding a complimentary dessert. He was awesome!!!!
