She made drink recommendations and they were quite tasty. I had the Twisted Whiskey Sour. It had Bourbon, Cointreau, orange juice and honey water with a dash of orange bitters. YUM! We decided to share a few different items. We had the handmade shrimp dumplings, the orange-ginger edamame and the chicken lettuce wraps. Delicious!! The edamame was my favorite of the 3. When I sit down to review a place, I try not to be reactionary. Oh my coffee is cold!!! One Star!!! Oh my meal is missing sauce! One Star!!!! Oh my waitress missed my water...ONE STAR!!!! I honestly don't believe that these reviews are helpful to the average Yelp user. Sure, Iet people know what happened and go about your business. But giving a place one star for an isolated incident doesn't really help much at all. Justify that star score with your big boy words. So I've been to P.F. Changs a number of times and honestly I am not a fan. Just the idea of a chain Chinese restaurant makes me go "Huh"? . With that being said I still need to justify a four star review. And I think I can. We arrived at about 7:30 and put our name in on a Sunday night Presidents Day Weekend. Ours was a party of 5. 30-35 minute estimated wait. Roughly 25-30 minutes later we were seated at a nice big booth that comfortably accommodated our 5. But if you have 5 adults, this one would be a squeeze. These are some of the newer booths that have been added to the middle of the room. I guess everyone likes a booth better than a table. Our waitress (can't remember her name) was friendly and helpful. She took a few seconds to make a personal connection with my daughter and got our orders for appetizers and drinks. My buddy has Celiac disease so we came for the gluten free menu. This is one of the few places in town he has never had an issue with. Many places that say gluten free really have no clue about being gluten free. But PF Changs does the job right. According to our waitress last night they have a special section of the kitchen to insure no cross contamination. They have a wide variety of menu items that are gluten free including lettuce wraps and even a decadent chocolate dessert. My wife was only interested in the soup tonight so she did the wonton soup and my buddy and I did the dinner for two ($40). My dish was the Almond Cashew Chicken and was pretty good. Did it "wow" me? Nah, but it wasn't horrible either. You have a choice of white or brown rice. The meal wasn't without a hitch, one dish at the table came out with onions but was ordered without, and another dish came out without broccoli but was ordered with it. Not sure why but they were easily dealt with. Everyone ate most or all of their dinner, cept for maybe my daughter who is a really specific eater. The price points are a little high for my tastes in Chinese food, but for a corporate experience that actually tries it's not bad. This normally would probably be a 3 star review, but the reliable gluten free puts them in the 4 star category. I'll put it plainly, if you want Americanized Chinese food in a nice "Starbucks" upscale environment then this place is just fine. If you are looking for a more unique experience for Chinese...you might wanna dig deeper into your Yelp app than PF Changs. Parking can be in short supply if they are really packed. We sat at the bar, were greeted by Steve who quickly brought Us menus and took our drink order. I ordered a Mai tai, and my husband, who is a big Whiskey lover, ordered a twisted whiskey sour. It's been about two years since I've been to PF Chang and the food was as good as I remember. Went with a group for lunch from work, had a reservation, and our table was already set up when we got there. The servers were polite, quick, and ensuring everyone was happy with their food and had a refill of their drink if they wanted. I the table shared a lettuce wrap, alway good, and I had the lunch menu Mongolian beef, which seem cooked just about perfect. Good presentation on the plate as well. The ambiance of the restaurant is typical PF Chang, somewhat dim, but peaceful. OHMYGODSOGOOD! I had never been here until this trip. I don't care that they're genre of cooking is all over the place, their FOOD is AMAZING. The group I was with ordered the honey melon shrimp -- melt in your mouth sweetness with a hint of savory; a sushi roll -- fresh, great sushi to rice ratio; some spicy noodles -- sooooo good; and the lobster and shrimp street tacos. TRY THE LOBSTER AND SHRIMP STREET TACOS!! These things came with jicama shells that complemented the lobster and shrimp unbelievably well. After I had one, I just wanted to order a dozen more and eat only those for the rest of the time we were in the restaurant. It's a good thing I didn't, though, because the rest of the food was also so good. All of us ordered a different cocktail and let the others try it. I love that their sweet cocktails aren't overly sweet, but just sweet enough. Their bloody Mary's are perfect, and not over horseradish-ed. To bad i can't give a zero! Ordered food online and it said pick up in 14 minutes so i hustled and got there in 15 minutes. I had to change clothes but the drive is only 8 minutes. I called as soon as i pulled in and i had to tell the girl on the phone three times what my name was. 25 minutes later the kid comes out and says Emma? No! I'm Dave. Finally got my food after sitting there for 30 minutes. Got a "here is your food, sorry". Drove the 8 minutes home and tried to eat the food. Took a few bites and my wife and i threw it in the garbage. It was terrible! The honey chicken was like mush because it sat in the plastic container for over 30 minutes and the rice was not cooked. I was in the mood for some wonton soup because of my oncoming cold. I also chose this restaurant for our Sunday dinner because my dear friend has celiac disease and can enjoy their gluten free menu. Five of us squeezed onto a small bench in the entry as we waited about 30 minutes for the buzzer to light up in my daughter's hand. Then, the hostess took us to a booth that allowed for us to fit comfortably without bumping elbows. Our waitress, Jeannette, was lively and provided charming service. She quickly corrected a chef's mistake when my friend ordered broccoli as a substitution in her entree, and it came to the table without the broccoli. Not only did she bring the corrected entree that now had some broccoli, but she went beyond to bring a side bowl overflowing with the green florets. She did miss a refill of water, so it can be said that she's still human and capable of making mistakes, but it didn't ruin the evening. I ate my large bowl of wonton soup, which helped warm my chest and slightly eased my congested head. I also had the tropical green hot tea, which was a bit too sweet for me, but again the heat helped with the head cold. Hubby had the P.F. Chang's for two; lettuce wraps, almond and cashew chicken, and then let our friend fly solo on the gluten free flourless chocolate dome. My daughter had the kid's honey chicken, but ate more of the overflowing broccoli because she's such a finicky eater. She was also distracted by the wikki stix they give the kids for playing. P.F. Chang's is far from my first choice when it comes to Chinese dining, but it worked for this evening, all things considered. It was a good dinner, and Jeannette made it all the more worth the while. PF Chang's is a consistently good Chinese Chain restaurant. You wouldn't think such a large chain could be good everywhere. But I've been t them in 3 or 4 different states, and can't find anything to complain about. Don't know when they started to serve Sushi as well... haven't tried it except a bite at a Yelp Elite event a few months back. I'm one of those people who thing you go to a Steakhouse for steak, a Seafood Restaurant for fish, and a Chinese Restaurant for Chinese food. So with so many Sushi options available to us here in Reno, I'll do most of my Sushi eating at a Sushi Restaurant. What I did taste was good, but loved their Lettuce Wraps and every other Chinese menu options I've tried so far. Definitely a great atmosphere and a place I will revisit again and again. read more

Came here for the first time. Ordered Singapore Rice Noodles. Very disappointed. Nothing like what I'm used to getting in New York City, or even San Francisco. Flavor was completely off and the service was fair but not the best. A lot of horse play and joking amongst employees. Would I go back? I think not. Panda Express seems to have more flavor and better quality. And they are a fast food joint like Mc Donalds. Prices are high, quantity is low, and the flavor is god awful. read more

Went for lunch. No hostess available bartender had to go find her. She then proceeded to greet and seat us a slow pace. Walking through the dining room passing all these tables that are set to a table closest to the bathroom that hasn't been cleared or set. She has us wait the prep the table rather than just seat us at a table that is ready. She puts the menus on a chair wipes the table(very wet still) and just leaves us. I pick up the menus from the chair and wife and I continue to sit down. Granted the table is still very wet without any settings. Waiters and bussers just passing without any acknowledgment. We then get up and walk out. I did ask the hostess why that table and not one that's already set? Sorry we're just really busy but have a nice day. Really that's it??? Our office co workers planned a gathering and being we had not formally seen each other (except Zoom) since we all went home before Covid we were Looking forward to each other's company and relaxing with some apps and cocktails. Unfortunately we heard they canceled their happy hour but decided to go anyway. Being there was only four of us we figured we'd share as always. We were told the kitchen was out of chicken and then we could substitute some thing else. So we asked for beef then the waitress came back and said the kitchen is out of beef can we substitute some thing else. We requested lettuce wraps be made with pork and was told no. It makes me wonder what kind of management they have as this was a Friday evening? And after all was said and done for a couple apps a few glasses of wine and two cocktails it's well over $150. Went there to have a birthday celebration lunch. What a disappointment. We have dined at this location in Reno on numerous occasions. It appears the quality is going down. The best part of the meal was our server. She was upbeat, happy and tried to accommodate errors made in the kitchen. Two people in our group ordered soup before the meal. The soup did not arrive until we already had our main courses and it was tepid and the Egg Drop Soup smelled like dirty dish rag water. The server apologized and took the soup off the ticket. All the main meals were luke warm. My wife and I had luncheon bowls and the chicken in both bowls was slimy and the breading was flavorless and not cooked. Because it was a birthday luncheon my brother got a complimentary dessert and when it arrived there was a long strand of hair adorning the dessert. We brought it to the attention of the server and she took it away and ordered another, removing both desserts from the ticket. So instead of having an enjoyable luncheon we had a poor experience to say the least. The server, LanI, was wonderful and was embarrassed by the poor quality of food. I love that they have online ordering and curbside pick up. The two times I've ordered online, they've been very efficient. The workers were also nice and even offered some sauces to go with my orders. I'm very surprised at how yummy the food was. I was expecting for it to be salty and oily as the usual Chinese food, but the main entrees I ordered were perfectly balanced. There were only a couple of items I wouldn't order again. Items I love: -Bbq beef ribs. Chinese style. Not your fall off the bone style (that's Chinese style) but so delicious. -walnut shrimp-lightly battered with a thin coating of magical sauce. -honey chicken and Chang's chicken- so moist and delicious -chicken wraps- most restaurants can't seem to get the texture and flavor right, but Chang's does a delicious one that comes with a home sauce, more on the thin side compared to your usual hoisin sauce. -wonton soup-just delicious! Comes with lots of mushrooms spinach and water chestnuts. -berry cheesecake-this cheesecake blew me away. It's a generous portion and yet I found myself wanting more. The crust is perfection and the cheese part was smooth fluffy and flavorful. The berry sauce and fresh berries were fresh and more on the tart side.. A good pairing with the richness of the cheesecake. -green beans-mmmmmm Items I would not order again: -dumplings-they were soooo salty and fell apart on me -cucumbers-soggy texture, warm, and tasted like soy sauce First time I ordered the lunch plates that come with rice. Came here for dinner and made a reservation for 7pm, but didn't get sat until about 7:45pm on a Sunday. So be ready to wait. However, the food was delicious! I LOVED their Lo Mein and Calamari. The Coconut Mojito is also very delicious! They have larger portions so we ordered about 5 different entrees and split between the table, we were able to taste a variety of entrees this way. My wife and I ate here after attending a movie to celebrate a birthday...just figured we'd have a couple of appetizers to finish off a nice afternoon/evening. But I had gotten an email the day before (sign up for their "rewards" program) that gave me a free Lo Mein entree with the purchase of another. So we ended up getting Chicken Lo Mein and Honey Shrimp along with a couple appetizers. A lot more than what we thought of getting, but the nice thing is that their food as leftovers still tastes great. So we ended up with a great lunch the next day. Service was great. Alex did a wonderful job of keeping our iced teas full. We got there around 5:30 on a Tuesday and the two of us got seated immediately. Their not the cheapest place for Chinese so we really only go there for "special" occasions, but quality has always been good when we go. Came here again recently with my wife and had a good experience. They have changed up their menu (thankfully) and it's quite good. I don't know why people give P.F. Chang's such a bad rap just because it is a chain. Prices are decent, service is great and if you get a booth it's very comfortable. There are plenty of 'questionable' chinese food places in town if you want to avoid a chain. If you are going to go at the usual times (prime lunch and dinner time) then I'd suggest making reservations or at least calling ahead a few minutes before you get there. I'd also recommend asking specifically to sit somewhere if you can rather than sit in the tables that are out in the open. I've yet to find something I didn't like here, but I will say that we've found you can easily get away with just ordering several appetizers and sharing them rather than ordering full blow entrees. The changs ribs, lettuce wraps and salt and pepper calamari are among my favorites. Also they have a really nice meeting room that is tucked away to the right of the bar area if you have a business meeting or private event. read more

Disappointed once again. We have dined in, with a less than satisfactory experience three times over the past year. The food has not been up to PF Chang's standards enjoyed at other locations. Tonight's Uber-Eats order was no different. We ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and short ribs. Both meats were terribly dry. Ordered extra sauce for the chicken, it was not included. The fried noodles served with the chicken wraps were not included. We have kept the hope alive, but will not give these guys another chance and will not return to this location. read more

Not many restaurants were open during quarantine so I'm glad that location was still allowing dine-in. Very friendly staff and quick service. There was Indoor dining with every few tables blocked off to allow for distancing. Overall taste was good except for the chicken which had a slight rubber texture to it. We ordered kung pao chicken, chicken lettuce wraps, pork dumplings, and pepper steak. I'm giving 2 stars because the dumplings were great, as always. And my friend liked the kung pao chicken. But the pepper steak was crazy spicy. I couldn't even eat it. My friend loves spicy food and even she couldn't handle it. Pepper steak supposed to be tender steak, onions, red/ green bell peppers with a mild brown sauce. MILD. After spending nearly $80 on the food, I was not happy that I could only eat the dumplings. I've been a regular PF customer, even finally joined their rewards program. But I'm very disappointed here. If I had been in the restaurant, would have sent it back. We ordered Orange Peel Beef (im convinced its made with crack, its that good), Egg Rolls (meh, overcooked, a little burnt), lettuce wraps (WTF, made with crack and heroin, SO GOOD) Sichon Beef (SEXCELLENT, just enough spicy that does NOT make you feel you need a cast iron stomach). The staff is not stuffy, they are EXCELLENT, it made me feel sad that other restaurants have such sad and uninterested wait staff. If you're looking for the best Asian food in Reno, try "Two guys from Hong Kong". I have never had a bad meal, or experience at "Two guys from Hong Kong". Their to go order set up is fantastic, and I've never had to wait a minute to pick up an order. If you are planning on ordering a to go order, or a order through a delivery service, at PF's, don't. It seems like they do not start working on your order until you show up. The last four times I ordered out, I had to wait 20 plus minutes for my order. Also, the staff is not helpful when it comes to go orders. They give zero updates on the amount of time that the order will take to be ready. Since the restaurant has opened, we have always enjoyed the dinning in experience. This post is directed at their curb- side service and the complete lack of customer service . Over past 7 yrs I have given this restaurant thousands of dollars in catering and pick-up orders for my business. Orders averaging in the $300.00 range. Numerous GM over the years and Stacy ( current GM) very nice. About two weeks ago called in a small $100.00 order ( 4 items) and had 30 minute drive to pick it up. Got to restaurant and had to wait another 30 minutes. Another curb side customer said, " I don't think they start your order until you get here, to make sure you are going to pick it up." Restaurant was empty and customers who cane in and seated were getting their food served, while I continued to wait. Jeff ( regular bartender) and very efficient ( has been working as assistant manager). When I asked what was taking so long, young girl ( remain nameless) said, " Tge kitchen is a mess today." I asked for her to get manager to help. To my surprise Jeff came out and did his best to help, The girl that was helping with order came out of back with empty box and asked, " Is this ok? It was a poor attempt to placate their ineptness and like I told Jeff that whatever was happening in back was internal issue and should be addressed by GM. I was late for my meeting with my customers and I was going to go into the restaurant to speak with Stacy, but after talking with other people who have experienced similar problems with curb- side pick- up, I am posting my complete dissatisfaction here, because I know Upper management monitors these postings, Their other locations over the hill and in the Bay Area do am excellent job of providing service and maybe they can have their management come and retrain the team here in Reno. I will not give them anymore of my business ( another $400.00 order for school was cold), but luckily we had chaffing trays to warm it back up for event. Stacy, you need to address this and I am sure your revenue is down and word of mouth advertising is the best you can have. You have lost that from me as a valued former customer. Good luck. P.S. Order completely wrong. When I arrived I put in my order for a drink while I waited for my order. Bartender took my order then 5 minute later he asked me to move to the back corner. WHAT AN ASS! WHEN I told mgr he made excuses for young bartender. My drink arrived after 37 minutes it was HORRIBLE and NOT what I ordered.
