    First time here

This is our first time visiting here. We were looking to get sushi on our Friday night and our normal spot was packed and we had an opportunity to find a new place that was close to home. I've read through the reviews and it looked like a very good place to go. We were able to get a table of six and they had a lot of options for my kids and a lot of great tasting rolls for my wife and I. The price was great. It was all you can eat sushi prices from 10 years ago. The best part was service was so good. They were super friendly and very fast. We will definitely return.

The sushi specials are good, great price and good sushi. The service was quick and friendly. Cute and clean spot. Wish you could get more muscles, you are limited to 6 total per person on the all you can eat. The desserts are yummy . Sorry I didn't get any pics. They serve the sushi specials on a little boat with cucumbers and a Lil bit of greens.

The sushi here it is really good. The service is really great each time I came here although the servers changed the service is still great. The feeling I get from being there is like being at home.

Been wanting to try this spot for a long time and finally got a chance for lunch. Clean resturaunt with your typical sushi deco. Service was good. The fish was really fresh and the rolls were rolled and cut nice and small to enjoy every bite. I would definitely come again. Muscles were very good and not covered in mayo. Worth the cost for AYCE.

Great place for lunch. Love the sushi boat special with 2 rolls, and appetizer, and salad. When I'm really hungry I do the all you can eat. They have good long and hand rolls. Nice clean place to eat, staff is always friendly, but they never have enough. Always hiring. Still one of our go to places for sushi.

We got this delivered and sushi from Reno, NV.. 2 red flags. But honestly, we finished this entire thing. Fish was fresh, flavors were clean. Veggies were also fresh. Had sushi recently in Reno and everything was hot and mushy and not at all like this. We even looked at the menu AFTER we ate to order more...

Came here for an order of salmon nigiri and the chashu ramen. The salmon was good, fairly standard. The chashu ramen with a soy sauce based broth was really yummy! Excellent ajitama and noodles. The pork belly was just good, not spectacular, but with the broth and other toppings, this was a delicious dish! Some of the better ramen in Reno, but I was sort of sad there wasn't any tonkotsu ramen. Kind of an odd environment, but it appears this may be due to renovations or moving things around. It's a bummer that you can't sit at the bar right now, but if you sit in the front section, you can still watch them making the sushi. Saw some sushi going out in wooden boats, which were adorable. Bare bones staff, so service is just a bit slow, but they clearly work their butts off, so it's OK.

It's perfectly crisp 5/5 - Hamachi and Asian Pear and Aji Amarillo: fish is fresh, pear is good, and the cubed soy sauce all work surprisingly well together 5/5 - Ten layer Pork Tonkatsu and Black garlic: I love the hint of wasabi flavor, but you don't actually feel the spiciness of it. 5/5 - Chicken Skin Skewers: very crispy and thin on the outside and soft on the inside. 5/5 - Chicken Thigh Skewers: the chicken is not dry at all and the green onions helps bring out the flavor more 5/5 - Bone Broth ramen: pork is great, but the noodles, and broth tastes like a wonton soup . The egg yolk tasted different 3/5 - Battleship: the fries are thin and crispy which I love. The cheese balls and meat are good. The curry is good and it should come with a bowl of rice 5/5 - Gyoza: it's more a dumpling, a little too acidic but the meat is very flavorful 4/5 There was no wait this time on a Friday evening. I feel like the music is still too loud, but I enjoy the environment. The staff are always attentive and quick. This was a much better experience, than the first time I came here. Parking is fairly easy, with plenty of street spaces nearby, and an easy walk if you're already hanging around the neighborhood. The service was friendly and fairly prompt, and even for a weekday night the place was bustling, leading to a bit of a backup. Cool vibes all around, and it's neat to sit at the bar and watch the chefs do their thing. Though it does mean this is a little bit on the noisy side. Look at the menu, and there are tons of tempting options. As the name suggests, their specialty here is small plate off the grill or out fo the fryer. But they do serve really good-looking ramen, too, which I will make not to try next time I swing by. I at first went with a quick bite of grilled chicken thighs, which were just amazing! They were juicy, eprfectly seared, with some grilled green onions and an amazing sweet soy sauce. I also went with the yakionigiri, which are balls of rice that are grilled, brushed with sauce, and topped with a sort of mango slaw. A bit uncommon, but wow, these were also just so delicious! Also had a glass of sake, though they have a full bar should you want some other sort of beverage. Prices here are, I feel, a little on the higher end for small plates. However, I think it is definitely worth coming and trying this place out at least once or twice, just to expereince some of the good food. I'm sorry it took me so long to finally step through the doors, but I am certain I will be back again to try more of what's on the menu.

Firstly, I love the ambiance here. It is a relatively small space, with just a few tables and some bar spaces, so fairly intimate yet casual. Tucked back on west Fifth Street, it kind of feels like a little gem in this section of town. Also, the service here was like so beyond friendly and prompt. Major props go out to the owner and her staff for doign such bang-up work! And the price point for everything is really reasonable for the ramen bowls, and alright for appetizers. But enough about all that, let's delve into the food! My party and I snagged a couple large sapporos and some hot sake, and began the meal with some appetizers. The potstickers were yummy and the takoyaki were excellent. After that, we all got our assorted ramen selections. One of my friend liked the Shiro Ramen, andother went with Spicy and said it was great. But I went with the Miso Ramen, and it was simply outstanding. Delicious, full flavor, and served not so extra hot as I've experienced other places. Had to get a couple extra of those marinated soft boiled eggs, too, as I just love them! All told, I think this spot should be on anyone's radar for exceptional ramen in Reno. Definitely the noodle house I think that's hit the most top notches on my list. For sure will be returning.

THE BEST JAPANESE SHABU SHABU I HAD BY FAR!!!!! So far this is the only legit Asian restaurant I've…read morehad in Reno. How it works? You have to make reservations because they prepare your ingredients with love and care. For night time reservations, it's like a speak easy kind of entrance, because the basement was already close, Sean, one of the owners, will pick you up and lead you to a secret elevator that descend to the basement. They aim for a zero-waste food, so all your orders will not go into waste (I will explain later). Each person has its own pot. For now, since they just opened recently, they have seven induction stoves --- that meant they can only take 7 person at a time. You will choose your protein and size of the pot, they have the smallest one, which they call chubi, then ninja, sho time, king kong and gorilla. I chose beef belly (a must try) and fish balls (this is not just a regular fish balls because it has a roe/fish eggs inside!) -- then they will teach you how to eat in a way you will experience the best shabu shabu experience. If you have left overs, don't worry, you can take it home -- they will prepare it for you so you can just reheat it and eat. (The soup was still so so good the next day!) The sake (rice wine) that they have had different flavors. It was my first time to taste one with flavors. I also tried its unfiltered sake, and oh boy, it brought me back the times when I had a dinner with Japanese consul (one of my perks as a former journalist) and my travel in China. Their cheesecake is also a must try! It was a guiltless cheesecake because it was low carbs and low calories. The owners, Yuki and Sean are very friendly, accommodating, and very mindful of the food -- they don't want the food to go into waste! I love the ambiance -- I had my birthday party there, and felt like we have the restaurant all to ourselves! It was intimate, clean with simple but functional interior. The last we dined in there (which was the third time) they are expanding and adding more inductions to accommodate the demand, 'cause people are coming back and referring this restaurant to friends. Update: My mom and I dined in there (few weeks before I deliver my baby) in April and they expanded their stoves. They can accommodate more than 20,I think, of diners.

Okay, wow. I have heard how great this place is, definitely worth the hype. I genuinely loved it…read more Flavor profiles were great. It was so delicious and I am new to hot pot, so I'm sold. The sauces to dip your veggies and meat were absolutely delicious. The sesame dipping sauce can be customized to add a bit of heat by adding chili oil. I chose just one drop, for the most gentle mild spice level, definitely worth it. Spice can sometimes take away from a meal so I don't overdo it, but I probably can push for an extra drop next time. The citrus ponzu was delicious. It's all the flavors I love. The vegetable platter is perfect to accompany the meat and you have your bowl of rice to go with the meat and vegetables. I was guided through the entire process and it was very helpful, grateful for that. You get to choose your meat type, and how much you want of it. Honestly it's perfect. I don't eat a lot and I still chose 7oz of meat and had plenty to eat and enough for my "to go soup". The concept to add everything you didn't eat in a to go container (some may say that's basic or normal) well I think it's awesome because it's no longer just cooking your meat in a broth and dipping in sauces accompanied with rice, it's a whole different meal at home. It's a delicious soup with meat vegetables and noodles. (Fair warning if you eat everything there, you probably won't have anything left to make a soup. It's ok, you still enjoyed it ) Phenomenal. Definitely going back. The layout is very cool. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Sweet girl. Just can't get over how good it was.

One thing we noticed right away was that the bonchon was already set on the tables before guests arrived. It wasn't a large spread--just a small tin of cheese corn and a divided tray with kimchi, bean sprouts, and fish cake--not sure how long they were left out and did look and taste dry. The servers seemed to work well together. Different team members checked on us, cleared dishes, served food, and helped other's tables. Once it got busier, they also used robot servers to help deliver food. We started with the salad with house dressing and the popcorn chicken. Both were good, and the chicken was nice and moist. For the BBQ, we ordered the Chardol, Ju Mul Luck, Hawaiian Steak, Tri-Tip Bulgogi, and Galbi (short ribs). Having eaten at quite a few Korean BBQ restaurants in Las Vegas, we noticed the portions here were a bit smaller. They also limit each round to three appetizers and four meat selections. Overall, the service was good, and we especially appreciated Eurie for being friendly and attentive. The only thing that concerned us was when another server changed our grill. Instead of lightly drizzling oil onto the grill, she forcefully squeezed the bottle, causing the oil to shoot out onto grill. It seemed like an unnecessary safety risk for both guests and employees. Our favorites were definitely the Tri-Tip Bulgogi and the Galbi. Both were flavorful and tender. The Chardol was good, but the slices were very thin and the portion felt a little small. The restaurant filled up quickly between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m., so it's clearly a popular spot. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would come back for the Tri-Tip Bulgogi, Galbi, and the teamwork displayed by the staff.
