I've tried them a few times since they've opened. The food has been great so far. A couple times our meals were delayed but the wait staff handled everything great and kept us updated, and I believe the way staff handles situations is what makes them good or bad. They are unable to process call in orders. They said, we're not busy come in and we will take care of you. When I got there they said 35 minutes for an order and gave me a song and dance about needing a chance to acclimatize the staff. This is my first visit to a P.F. Chang's and I was favorably impressed. The décor is very nice and the wait staff were pleasant and efficient. The food was very good. The only reason I'm not rating it higher, is that the Hot and Sour Soup was lukewarm and the prices were a bit beyond what I'd expect for a lunch menu, (More like evening prices). First time at PF C for me. Jan has been many times. This is the new location at The Village of Rochester Hills. A walk through from start to finish: host staff and greeting A+. Welcome by server (Josh) and attentiveness A. Food as follows. Lettuce wraps A+. Egg rolls A. California Roll D. Spicy tune roll B. Egg drop soup just really different - no grade but did not like it. We got here and were seated right away because the restaurant is mostly empty. It took 15 minutes for a waitress to take our drink order, which was odd given that nobody is here. We ordered appetizers right away and got them within 10 minutes. Unfortunately, 20 minutes later our beer and glass of wine still hadn't arrived. Maybe 10 people in restaurant and we had to find an employee to get us a waitress and when she came she reeked of cigarettes so pretty sure that's where she was. So very unappetizing. We went last night dreading that the service and food would not be great because of the other reviews from Yelp, but we decided we could give it a try. It was also the tree lighting ceremony so we knew it would be extra busy. Having been in the restaurant industry for over 20 years I have high expectations. This blew all me "expectations" away. Our server, Caitlin, was amazing!! She didn't miss a beat! Super helpful, informative and attentive. The other servers and support staff were also great. Very friendly, smiling and on point. The food was delicious and hot. I can't wait to go back!! And one last shout out to the host staff and management for going out of their way to accommodate the Houhauser family. I know it's Mother's Day but the poor attitudes of the staff coupled with the total lack of social distancing was unbelievable. No management in site. About 30 customers in the store waiting for orders. No social distancing, no masks, and people pawing through bags of food because the staff didn't know where anyone's order was. First I want to apologize for the book I'm about to write but this is 3 reviews in one. First I ordered a carry-out about a month ago late on a weekday and was quoted 40 minutes. I thought it was strange but just chalked it up to they just opened so they might be working the bugs out. I tried again this past Saturday at 8:30pm and was quoted 40 minutes again so we ordered from B-Spot. Being curious and again thinking the quote was strange I stopped at PF on the way to B-Spot to pick up my order. When I entered the restaurant it was a third full with the majority of tables looking like they were finishing up. At this point I asked for a manager so that maybe they could help me understand the issue. The manager (Eddie) came out said that he knows it doesn't look busy now but that it just cleared out. I thought to myself I didn't pass a large crowd leaving when I walk out but even if I did they would've been already served so there's no reason to quote that time because the kitchen won't have been backed up. Eddie offered to buy my wife and I dinner next time we came in. Normally I don't accept these offers because I'm not looking for a freebie but since I really didn't believe the reasons Eddie gave me I accepted and he gave me his business card. Now we are to the point in the story that inspired me to leave my first review. Tonight on our way home we decide to take Eddie up on his offer. We arrived at 7pm and sat at the bar. We ordered 2 drinks and looked at the menu. At about 7:15 we ordered 2 soups and 2 entrees. I want to make one thing clear the waitstaff was great. After a few minutes our soups arrived. I asked if Eddie was working and the bartender said he was busy in the kitchen but would get him when it slowed down. The restaurant was extremely busy at this point and there was about 8 people waiting at the bar for their carryout. We were in no hurry we had our drinks and soup with nowhere to go but home. At about 7:55pm our food arrived. Which is about 40 minutes after our soup but they were busy and I was in no hurry so no big deal. They give my wife her salmon and me pad thai but unfortunately I ordered the lobster shrimp fried rice again no big deal mistakes happen. The bartender checks to make sure he put in the right thing. Then says to me you ordered it right and I put it in right so it's not our fault " we both laughed" an then said he would get the correct dish right away. Here's where I had enough. A manager, not Eddie, comes out and says, "I apologize but we are out of the dish you ordered." He said mine went to another table. He offered to comp our entrees which were already being comp'd, per Eddie. The other thing is how much longer do I want to wait for them to make something else. He offered to comp everything but I said no thanks. He came back with a $25 gift card and again offered to comp everything. Again I said no thanks. Why would I want a $25 gift card to a restaurant that I will probably never go back to. I'm not sure why every restaurant thinks comping things makes up for a bad experience. If I wanted a free meal I would stand in line at a soup kitchen! I am paying this kind of money for a meal for an enjoyable relaxing experience. I am 55 years old and eat out often. I have never, I MEAN NEVER, had anything close to this poor of an experience. I have had these problems at other restaurants but never all at one time. Everyone may have a bad day once in a while which is understandable but this is unacceptable! read more

First of all it took over one hour to get here via DoorDash. We ordered beef fried rice and it was very dry and only a few pieces of beef that were over done and looked petrified. Lettuce wraps that were almost a whole head of lettuce and barely any meat and it was over done and dry. I asked for extra greens in my wonton soup and I literally got three pieces of spinach leaves that's it. Needless to say I will never go back, carry out, dine in or DoorDash, etc. They really went downhill and I would never recommend this establishment to anyone ever! read more

This is the second and last time we have had a terrible experience with this location. First time we dined in, had the worst service. Food took hour to get to our table although we were one of three tables there. Rice looked like it was scraped off someone's plate and had other food particles on it. Told server that we had a coupon but she didn't ask if it applied to our order BEFORE serving it. Food arrived cold. Was a scene out of the Ryan Reynolds movie "Waiting". Waitress dropped off the check and THEN informed us that the coupon wasn't valid. This time I decided to order delivery. Placed order more than 2 hours ahead of time. Food was cold and undercooked upon arrival but we only live 8 minutes away. Wasn't DoorDash's fault as I received text messages upon pickup and he was here before the estimated time. My husband and I worked in Troy and NEVER had a bad experience with the Somerset location. Don't waste your time and money at the Rochester Hills location. Go to Troy instead. It's not that far from Rochester Hills anyway. Just check out all the negative reviews on Yelp. Never again. Management's responses to dissatisfaction were generated from form letter. Corporate should get involved in management of this location. read more

We live nearby and have had a great experience each of the three times eating here. Staff was accommodating and friendly. The food was up to PF Chang standards. This location may still be getting established. Midweek service is excellent. We have not frequented this establishment on weekends during peak hours. Lovely surprise, cashing out the server asked what we were doing with the rest of our evening. As I replied "opening gifts," she insisted on bringing a complimentary dessert. I asked for chocolate. Our server came back with all 3 of the other choices since they ran out of the chocolate dessert. I wish I could give it a 4.5... my mom and I made reservations through her P.F. Chang's rewards account for 6pm. We checked in at 5:30 and were sat at 6! Our server, Drake, was amazing and the food is WONDERFUL. My mom is celiac (gluten free) so they have a separate menu the hosts give us when they seat us. She had chicken pad Thai and managed to eat the whole plate (it was that amazing). I had the new miso salmon and it was PERFECT. We never felt forgotten or ignored by our server, and we noticed how involved management was with the overall experience. some parties around us having parts of their meals comp'd, due to wait time or some part of the experience being below franchise expectations. which my mom and I appreciated because it shows that this newer location is really trying to make a good impression and work out the "newly opened" kinks. The wait times are long, and it is loud at dinner rush, but they were ready to open. To anyone who says they should've trained more before opening- you can only train through trial and error.
