Believe it or not this actually used to be a nice place. When we pulled up to an empty parking lot during peak lunch time, I knew that was a bad omen. Luke warm pot stickers, yuck. I had a very disappointing experience at the P.F. Chang's in Roseville. To be fair, the service was good, the waiter was friendly, attentive, and did his best to help. Unfortunately, the food completely missed the mark. I first ordered the Singapore noodles but the dish was extremely sour and overly salty to the point that I couldn't eat it. When the server noticed he kindly offered to replace it, so I chose the Honey Crispy Chicken. Sadly that was another letdown, it had almost no flavor at all. Overall, it was a really poor dining experience, especially considering the reputation of the restaurant. Based on this visit, I won't be returning. We came here last weekend to eat during our long break during Nationals. I hadn't been to PF Changs in California in years. The server was sweet, she answered any and all questions. Since we came at opening it was pretty quiet, which was nice. It is dark inside, the food was delicious. They do have a specialty item, I believe it was the smoking kung pao dragon roll. My kid did not like at all. The smoke flavor was super intense. Other than that the food was delicious. Stopped by for lunch after some shopping at Roseville Mall. It was my first time trying P.F. Chang's, and overall the experience felt a bit lackluster. We were a party of three and went in with modest expectations. Here's what we ordered: Crab Wontons: A solid appetizer--perfectly crispy with a delicious dipping sauce. Butternut Squash Dumplings: Decent, but not something I'd order again. The flavors didn't quite come together. Chicken Lettuce Wraps: Another solid appetizer; you really can't go wrong with these. Spicy Chicken Lunch Special (with fried rice and egg drop soup): The egg drop soup lacked flavor, the fried rice was mushy, and the chicken leaned overly sweet--more like orange chicken than spicy chicken. Firecracker Shrimp: The best dish we ordered. The shrimp was cooked well with a nice hint of spice, but the portion was surprisingly small even for the traditional size. Overall, it was an okay dining experience, but not one I'd return for. I wasn't particularly impressed with the rice, and most of the dishes left something to be desired. It's been at least 10 years since I've been to P.F. Chang's. My favorite dish was a tossup between their crispy honey shrimp or their chicken lettuce wraps. The shrimp wasn't as good as I remembered but the chicken lettuce wraps were just as good. In the past, the server would mix the signature sauce at the table, but I guess the tradition stopped; however, our waiter gave it a try and it turned out great. And this leads me into saying, the food was okay, but what really made this a terrific experience was the stand out, impeccable service of our waiter, Chris! He was super friendly, very attentive, always checking in at the right time and genuinely seemed to care that we had a good time. Exceptional customer service like this is rare! I'll be honest: P.F. Chang's isn't usually my go-to, and in the past I've felt it can be a bit pricey for what it is. That said, I came here for my cousin's wedding dinner and ended up having a really great experience. The staff was fantastic since they were attentive, friendly, and really on top of everything, especially considering we were a large group. We were all starving when we arrived, and they kept the food coming at a great pace. There was a ton of food, and honestly, everything we tried hit the spot. The lettuce wraps were as good as I remember, orange chicken, pepper steak, and a mix of other classics. It actually reminded me of the times I used to go years ago, and that shows they have been consistent across time and restaurants. The flavors are familiar, reliable, and crowd-pleasing. While it's still not somewhere I'd regularly seek out, this visit definitely changed my perspective, especially for group events or special occasions. I stopped by for dinner to go, on Black Friday, and the place was packed, so I recommend making a reservation during the busy holiday season. The server at the to go counter was great. Very patient when i couldn't make up my mind with the large variety of dishes. I settled on the kung pao chicken and the crab filled wonton appetizer. The entree came with rice, and I was only able to eat half of the entree, which was very flavorful and had the right amount of spicy kick that did NOT leave my mouth burning. The wonton appetizer was also very good, and nice and crispy. There was plenty of parking in the lot, but only a few spaces left in this busy night. It was my first time dining here. We made a reservation for 6:30 in the evening but we arrived earlier and we were immediately accommodated and seated. Our server, Rachel, was amazing. She constantly went to our table to check what we needed and our drinks were constantly refilled. She was lovely, had a great positive energy and very good at her job. We had a toddler with us and they have tons of high chair available. The changing area in the restroom was clean too. The food was 50-50. Some were great, some were not. For appetizers, we got the Chang's Lettuce wrap and the seasoning of the chicken was bitter. We also ordered the steamed pork dumpling which was good. Everyone liked the crispy honey shrimp and fried rice. I also liked the orange chicken but some of my family members didn't like it as much. The pepper steak and kung pao chicken were too salty while the signature lo mien lacked flavor. As for the wonton soup, it was bland but I liked it since I don't like salty soup. It also has a lot of other ingredients inside besides the wonton such as shrimp, chicken bits, mushroom, etc. For drinks, I opted for the Peach Boba Breeze and it had popping boba and was a good refreshment. Since we were celebrating a birthday, we got a complimentary chocolate cake which was called the great wall of chocolate. It was good for sharing and all 8 of us ate it. There were blueberries and strawberries on the side too. The chocolate cake was amazing! It had a strong and rich chocolate flavor and very enjoyable specially if you're into sweets. We came for lunch on the weekend and this is one of our favorite lunch spots. The bartender is very friendly and gives us great recommendations. The bar area has quite a few TVs to watch our sports. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple of drinks (the Asian Pear Mojito and a beer) as well as the Pork Egg Rolls and Shrimp Dumplings. We also ordered the Crispy Honey Chicken. Celebrated Lunar New Year at the most non-Chinese- Chinese restaurant! LOL I used to love P.F. Chang's in the early 2000s. It's like the Chinese version of the Cheesecake Factory (my favorite chain). But these days, if I want Chinese food, I'm hitting up a hole-in-the-wall on Freeport Blvd. Forget any aesthetics and ambiance, I want some authenticity! The PFC in Roseville is exactly what you'd expect: very appealing and upscale, and not a very diverse staff or patrons (at least at the time we were there). It's not quite fine-dining because you would be comfortable walking in dressed down, and their menu does offer some good, reasonable deals. We went for HH (3-6pm M-F), that served as our dinner with cocktails for $65, but you can definitely get away with lunch or dinner for 2 for under $50, with their set specials. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and found us a high table in the bar, so we could partake in HH. Taylor came over right away with menus and was very friendly. HH cocktails are about $9; I ordered the lychee martini and my husband got the margarita. The HH menu doesn't have that much food to choose from, so I ordered almost everything on it! Half order of their famous chicken lettuce wraps, BBQ pork ribs, Northern-style (dry rub) pork ribs, shrimp dumplings, and pork dumplings. The presentation of the dumplings was nice, as the server poured the sauce onto the hot plate and made it sizzle, and the yummy sauce was savory with a little kick. The dumplings themselves were just ok. The filling was bland. The dry ribs were my favorite. Both ribs were fall-off=the-bone tender and flavorful. The lettuce wraps were as delicious as I remember them to be and a half order was a perfect portion for 2 of us. The cocktails were good and the ribs and lettuce wrap were great for happy hour and a light (but filling) dinner. P.F. Changs even gave us red envelopes to celebrate Lunar New Year! Made a reservation and still had to wait ten minutes or more after our reservation time before getting seated. It was another ten minutes at least before the server came by to take our drink order. We ordered everything right then. Food: we went for the Valentine's Day 5 course dinner for two. Chef's selection was sushi, which was good. I ordered an edamame free with my rewards card. The won ton soup was just okay, not a lot of flavor, but the hot and sour soup was pretty good. The miso lobster dumplings were good, we liked the sauce that was on it. Main entrees were okay. For the two, we chose the Mongolian Beef and the Longlife Noodles and Prawns. The Mongolian platter was good, just a small portion compared to the noodles and prawns. Service was slow because of how busy it was. Dessert was the banana spring rolls and they were the *highlight* of the dinner. Worst service at P.F. Chang's. We had to ask for water four times before we finally received it, and even then, we were one short and had to ask three more times for the last glass. The food took a long time to come out and was served cold. Our server was a young girl with long blonde hair (we never even got her name). It makes it for the type of restaurant where it's good if you haven't had it in a while, but you can get sick of it really fast. The service is very hit and miss. We have been there and had above and beyond excellent service. We have also been there and been disappointed by the service. The BBQ pork spare ribs looked good but tasted weird, probably why I was violently ill later in the evening after trying them. No plans on being a repeat customer, I can get 3 times as much for portion size for about half the price at a few other places. Went for dinner here on a Friday night around 8pm and the food came out super fast, hot, and delicious -- exactly what you want when you're hungry. Our waitress, Rachel, was fantastic! Ask for her. She checked in with us often to make sure we had everything we needed more water, napkins, anything-- without ever being intrusive. Even after we paid the bill, she came back to make sure we were still doing okay and didn't need anything else. The service, food, and atmosphere were all spot on. She was a perfect 10 and her personality was a plus along with our food. PF's have a new revised menu where you can order complete dinners for two. The Lo mein and the crispy honey shrimp has a bland taste. Not really enjoyed my food here. Only the pan fried gyoza is good. I will try again next time some of their menu hoping to change my review. Friday at 6pm.... Open seats everywhere including the bar. There was a time that if you walked in at 6pm on a Friday, you were lucky to have less than an hour wait. What went wrong? Staff- while our waiter was doing their best, they were rushed (not to turn the table but to serve all the customers) and made some mistakes. Tables were left unclean after people left. Despite the lack of customers, it was not well maintained and leadership is sorely lacking. The restaurant itself hasn't changed much and still is relevant. However, it was clear that detail was not as good as it could have been. An example was menus were dirty. I normally would not say much about this detail except they looked like someone tried to clean them but was unsuccessful. Mine had some sort of sticky sauce smeared across the pages. Finally, while the balance of this review can be explained by the day (Good Friday) what can't be explained is the food. Specifically two issues. The food was dull. I ordered spicy chicken and it was ok- I have had much better at Whole Foods lunch buffet. My wife ordered the Buddha bowl which was supposed to have a garlic sauce and instead was a bowl of what seemed to be steamed vegetables. The portions, sold as "family style" were individual sized. We ended up with a bill for about 77 and it was more like a 30 experience. read more

Evidently, the overflowing lobby was filled with people who had been equally shafted by this restaurant. We went home and had dinner. At 7:02, this abomination of a company texted me to go to the "hospitality desk" for our table. Why have a reservation system when they don't honor reservations? So we went to this place last Friday and was met with condescending hostess who asked us what can I do for you? Obviously if we are in a restaurant we there to eat. Advised that I had a reservation and she proceeded to take us to our seat. Asked if we could have a booth and the hostel stated that the server was overwhelmed and couldn't handle another table so we were sat by the kitchen and Uber Eats/doordash area. Interesting 15 mins later another couple came in and were seated in the booth we wanted and the so called overwhelmed server seemed to help them with no problem. I'm giving straight to the food. Ordered the crispy honey shrimp and the Chang's Spicy chicken. Both items were drowning in sauce. The sauce on the shrimp tasted like a sweet and sour sauce. I should have read the reviews about the shrimp because I was thinking it was honey walnut shrimp with that white sweet sauce drizzled on top. Do that on me. Similarly for the chicken just drowning in a sweet chili sauce basically. Just not a fan. If you want good Chinese food just go to your local Chinese restaurant and not here. You would think for roughly $25 a plate that the flavor and the dish itself world be amazing or at least good. I wouldn't mind paying that amount as long as the food tasted good, but this was not. Took my wife for dinner the night before Thanksgiving. We sat and had our dinner and drinks at the bar. Our bartender/server Benjamin was awesome. Very attentive and pleasant to interact with. The Tokyo Mule was by far the best I've had in quite some time. For dinner we started with the fried pork dumplings and with that had Kung Pao Chicken and Buddha's Feast. Ordered the special chief dinner for two, salad, appetizer, pork egg rolls, Mongolian beef over lo mein noodles and the Pai Thai, a 805 and a coors light... to wash it down! The noodles were delicious, which went along with the Mongolian beef, ordered it separately with a small charge. The Pai Thai was very filling and had great flavor according to my wife, she said it was the best she's eaten! Now Fernando the waiter was average at best, it was our 39 year anniversary and we wanted to have a toast with the two beers we ordered but mine came out so late my wife had already almost gulped hers down.. oh well we still toasted, now the check came and as I stated we had the Chris special which was 20$ per person, a great deal but he charged us full price, as I mentioned it he then hustled back and changed it to be correct.. the cost of our beers and the upgrade from rice to noodles was an extra 20+ bucks so out the door with a decent tip 90$ overall the meal was tasty and the atmosphere was excellent.. we will return to PF Changs! read more

Food was good, service was good (I went in at a not-so-busy time, 2:00 pm). I ordered the lunch special with shrimp (not very spicy at all) and ordered two dishes to go. One dish was dynamite shrimp, and the other was Mapo tofu. The mapo tofu was a menu serving size at $18.59, and the dynamite shrimp was $17.29 for FOUR OUNCES. It's literally three tablespoons of shrimp. Such a rip off. Good thing the other dishes were fairly priced for the amount of food provided. I won't be ordering that again. read more
